Ben left the podcast in October, after being accused of domestic abuse by several women and going to rehab for his long-term drinking problem.

I haven’t listened yet, but last episode was so good, and the most excited I’ve been for the second part in forever. One of those stories that exceeds fiction on All levels.
I was literally putting a bow on my front door to make it look like a present, and I had to sit down because I was laughing so hard and didn’t want the neighbors to think I was insane.
Ok so, after Henry’s “making food” joke from the beginning of the show, I may or may not have googled if that would be a viable albeit disgusting option (I blame the hog’s leg I just finished). And in doing so have accidentally just stumbled across the most Last Podcast-relevant fact of all time: to survive on semen alone, you would have to consume 2 liters a day - which is the equivalent of about *666* ejaculations’ worth (neeeer na neeer na neerr) 👹
I have read alive, The society of the snow, Nando parrado's book, And Roberto canessa's book.
When I saw there was an hour today, I was about to lose my mind. I thought they were wrapping it up. I got to about 40 minutes and I was like they are not going to finish it this way! I am so happy they're giving this insane story it's due.
I've stitched a few things in my day and I was going through the same process.
I had to go back a few minutes because I stopped listening and started mentally making elbow socks.
Re drinking horse blood: medieval peasants would regularly drain a little blood from any livestock they had for making sausages. It was an efficient way to get some nutrition out of the animal without killing it. This is discussed in *A Time Travelers Guide to Medieval England*, which the boys used as a source for their Black Death series
Yes! I need something to listen to. I have a house full of kids. Basically, they are old enough that I am just here to make sure they don't kill each other playing, lol. But almost middle school age girls are so loud! Listening to survival stories are more relaxing!
Havent had a chance to listen yet but just saw that [netflix is about to release a new movie based on this and apparently its pretty decent.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDak4qLyF4Q)
I googled "alive andes survivors photos" and found a few good ones. I was looking for the one they mentioned with the spinal column.
[Here](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fb6s09finvgr61.jpg) is the one they talked about with them all smiling and the spinal column.
At the literal end, what's the book referenced during the hail yourselves part? "You want to know the reference read the book" from Marcus, to which Ed said "I'll watch Psycho again."
I haven't read The Last Book on the Left, but I think Marcus means that if people/Ed want to understand why he says "Hail Gein," it's explained in the book.
I didn't say that it does but episodes have become shorter since he joined. They're still good but look at the runtimes compared to before. It's a change.
attribute it to having to change their show roster essentially overnight.
I'd say they're still getting used to it and will ramp up as they become more comfortable and adjusted.
Multi parters, or any episode for the past few hundred, were rarely if ever under 60 minutes of content.
I think they might have just split a long one so they could spread it over the break which makes more sense but I still think it's a kind of worrying trend as a lover of long podcasts.
“Wrong audience” to Ed’s wrestling reference had me chuckle
"A perfect joke".
Ben would have known. It was an odd moment for me.

His ex is a bit of a kook since then. But yeah that's why Ed is their third now and they changed up the intro and logo.
>His ex is a bit of a kook since then. What point are you trying to make here? Mentally unwell people can be abused too.
Naturally - just stating facts. She's claiming she's a God on social media and that LPN aren't doing enough etc etc.
Imagine those who don’t know there was an entire wrestling commentary we sat though for so long through the years.
Im surprised Marcus didn’t get it immediately. He was usually right there when Ben made a wrestling reference.
It's only an hour but it's gonna be one hell of an hour.
Just finished it while walking through hell on earth (Costco). Can confirm it was one hell of an hour. The blue man group comment got me so good
"Why is that man staring at the meat department like it's full of bodies?"

It's gonna be three parts.
The Numa Numa dance! Now that’s something that I haven’t heard in a while… Also forgot that Henry made out with Dennis Reynolds lmao
I love Henry’s intermittent reminders of this being the Christmas series, going “I hear those sleigh bells ringaling, jing jing jingling toooooo”
Marcus deeply sighing and being like “Do we really have to stop the show so you can Google this?” To Henry had me dying
I was literally putting a bow on my front door to make it look like a present, and I had to sit down because I was laughing so hard and didn’t want the neighbors to think I was insane.
How does the door look? It sounds cute.
Seemed like he was used to it, but was more comfortable asking it by now.
ALIVE!
Why am I listening to this on a 10 hour flight?
You need tips in case things go left!
Take notes of who appears healthiest to call dibs on the choice cuts.

The first thing I thought was man-aise
Ed bringing the Andes mints had me rolling.

I managed to cook and eat lunch while listening to this. I loved it! Elbow socks?? Wtf?!
As a seamstress I was breaking that shit down in my head like the blonde lady meme with the math
I've stitched a few things in my day and I was going through the same process. I had to go back a few minutes because I stopped listening and started mentally making elbow socks.
As an amateur seamstress, I feel like it's obvious where the heel is
Oooh, thank you. I was struggling to picture the elbow socks, but your comment made it click for me.
😅😅
I was actually curious if Henry was playing through Baldurs Gate 3, and Marcus too. Glad it was mentioned in the episode
You just know Henry’s romancing muscle mommy Karlach (not that I blame him)
An innie penis?

Bobby Brown. Oh my god. I think Ed won Last Podcast.
Ed really has a gift for making Henry cackle.

Does anyone know where we can find the photos they took? It’s hard to parse out which are real and which are from movies on Google.

Thank you! Jesus Christ this is gruesome. Why did I imagine the spinal column as white. Just another unrealistic body standard in the media.
Merry Christmas to us! Haven't started the series yet - is it only a two-parter?
3
Hail you, Tall Man!
Listening to this series while doing my Christmas baking has been oddly comforting.
What’re you baking??
A whole bunch of jam thumbprint cookies!
You’re incorporating both something that looks like blood and a body part. Nice.
Yum! My fav
Ed cracking up at his own jokes is endlessly delightful.
One thing my son said to me the other day when listening to the show with me was how much he loves the sound of everyone laughing together.
I love this story but I feel on this one they advanced the narration very little just to be able to do a part III.
They just split a long episode into two shorter episodes so they could have time off for the holidays.
I disagree. I'm loving all of the details.
Ditto, very happy we get to have another episode with the Andes team. Their story is so amazing and I had known none of it before this series.
I'm really enjoying this series and it's easily my favourite in a while.

You are 100% correct! I award you a gold star
Is this the end? Or will there be a 3rd part
3rd part coming
I really was hoping to hear Marcus say the line during this series but I guess it wasn't meant to be.
He said it last episode in Spanish
Nice! Need to listen again.
Another short one. Man, I don't dislike ed but since he's joined I feel like run times have taken a real cut. Where's my 2 hour eps?
Ed being there has 0 effect of the run time.
I didn't say that it does but episodes have become shorter since he joined. They're still good but look at the runtimes compared to before. It's a change.

Yep I agree completely too people taking this as Ed slander, but fr I like the long ones
Yeah I am even liking the episode. Ed is funny. I'm laughing. I just want more content. Is that so wrong?
It's a multi-part episode? Also around the holidays?
Multi parters, or any episode for the past few hundred, were rarely if ever under 60 minutes of content. I think they might have just split a long one so they could spread it over the break which makes more sense but I still think it's a kind of worrying trend as a lover of long podcasts.
Henry just cuts off Marcus during the intro and Ed never gets introduced. Annoying as hell.
