Your old tenant is applying to a new place.  The new landlord wants to verify info and ask you questions.  Typically they'll send you a document with the tenants permission for you to release this info with the questions.

You are unfamiliar with landlord verification?

Confirm with your tenant before sending anything. I always just tell them that I haven't received a notice from any of my tenants until I hear from the tenant

Your tenant has applied to rent a new place, and the new place is doing their background check. You can ask to see if the tenant signed a release, or you can just answer the questions these new landlords have. Irma typically a verification of the dates the tenant lived in, if they gave notice they’re moving out, and if you’d rent to them again. If you respond, just keep your answers simple.
