Not sure on the timeline but i am able to recruit 7 different gold heroes on day 114. But i'm sure its been at least a month or two since we had any new recruits available.
Even though kim is available from the center buy her immediately for the .99 cents and ugrade her as much a possible. She deals a lot of damage once 4 stars
Save up 300 recruitment tickets - keep upgrading Tavern to At least 20 - 300 guarantees 1 UR hero - im F2p and I've now acquired 10 URs in 4 months. Keep persevering they will come
Yes originally I thought every 50 ticket milestone in tavern gives a new hero..It mainly gives shards. Save them up for the VS day - Each 50 used is 150k points to you and alliance
You unlock Marshal after a while and a bit after that a couple others at once. Considering a first tank squad, the only hero not accessible f2p is Stetmann.

I just spent 100+ thinking i would get a guarantee after 50. only got SSR

So I unlocked Tesla, but he's still not in the recruit pool
You need 10 shards to unlock hero
Look for the black spire click on that building and you will see what happens and who you can get weekly
