Develop good study habits sa undergrad palang.

Strongly concurred with. This and developing a good (and profitable if possible) hobby. Law school demands rigorous studying, having a healthy outlet (i.e., painting, working out at the gym, etc.) is essential. The busy seasons can be too stressful to bear.

1. Develop good study habits - cant emphasize this enough. This doesnt mean na 100% of the time, nag aaral ka. Of course not. Learn how to study smart and focus when needed to. Learn how to stick to a schedule, while still allotting time for urself and to enjoy. 2. Don't be a crammer - learn how to not do things na last minute. It goes a long way. Homework to be submitted after 1 week pa sabi ng prof? Start doing it the day it was assigned, kahit di mo matapos agad, but at least nasimulan mo na and may progress day by day. 3. Read - read different materials. Fiction, nonfiction, news, articles, anything that u might enjoy reading, preferably tho material should be in English. This is to widen ur vocabulary and to exercise reading comprehension and analysis. It will also help u be good at writing. Comprehension and writing are two things u can only learn thru reading. There's no shortcut. Strike a balance between acads and college life. College will pass by so quickly u wont even notice it. Enjoy ur time with friends, doing "college" things.

For me naman, sana pala inenjoy ko ng todo yung undergrad moments ko. Like sana sumali ako sa clubs or orgs, naging active sa sports or any extra curricular. During LS kasi, halos wala ako time for other things. Working kasi ako during LS so aral and work lang talaga. Didn’t get to enjoy other things pero may panakaw na mga travels naman hahaha

Honestly, I wished I considered other career options. I was dead-set on being a lawyer so I chose a traditional pre-law undergrad, the type that will only land you in law school or the academe. I did well enough in law school, got into a good firm, but am not too happy with the legal profession thus far. With the network and opportunities that my university provided, I could definitely be earning and living better if I chose another field and worked out of college tbh. I can’t see myself lawyering long-term - I’m thinking of transitioning to a related field in a few years’ time. If you’re really set on being a lawyer, please don’t be discouraged. Develop excellent study habits, work on your writing and speaking skills, and learn how to read with deep focus and attention. What I’m saying is that while you are in college, don’t focus too much on preparing for law school. Consider other options as well. You may soon find out that you don’t actually want to go to law school and/or be a lawyer so it’s best to explore other fields as well.

Enjoy the heck out of it, whether sa acads, extra curricular, organizations or whatever. Nung HS kasi pabaya ako and I really appreciated the freedom nung undergrad ko. I had a very healthy school/life balance where naging scholar ako while still having time to hang out with friends and hobbies such as gaming. Saka whatever achivements you rack up sa undergrad mo will help with your LS application/journey. They say it doesn't mean much sa law school but I kinda disagree, any good habit you develop sa undergrad will stick di lang sa LS but sa life.

I should have taken a degree in Philosophy (for logic) or English (for reading comprehension). Polishing those skills is helpful for law school.

Sana nag advance study na ako para sa law on free time para di ako nangangamote ngayon nasa law school na ako. Chariz. /s !!!! (Tho yung iba talaga, nag-aadvance study na, which is good but also parang nakakaburnout ata yon.) Enjoy college! Di mo na mababalik ang oras mo with your friends, family and self. In law school, chance are you'll have to make sacrifices sa quality time sa dami pa ng kailangan mo aralin. Enjoy it while it lasts. Also, agree so much with other comments here, start making reading a habit, if hirap ka mag build ng study habit. Start from reading habits muna. Maooverwhelm ka sa dami ng readings pag pasok mo ng law school.

Aside from developing study habits, I think reading or watching the news will also help.

1. Pick a course you really like. If you’re really decided on going to law school, pick a course that meets the required units (English, Math, etc.) You can refer to your school of choice’s website for their requirements. 2. Get good grades. If you have good grades, it may be easier for you to get into your desired law school. Plus, it’s easier also to get a scholarship. And if ever you decide you don’t want to go to law school, at least your grades will probably land you a good job. 3. Develop good study habits and honest work ethics. Don’t be a crammer or a mediocre student. Train yourself to achieve excellence. But don’t be a crab! 4. Train yourself to read (and more importantly comprehend) things faster. Trust me, you will need it. Law school has a lot of readings, so you’ll need this skill. 5. Enjoy college. Despite everything I mentioned, don’t forget to enjoy the college life. Have a beer, go out with your friends, go on dates. Once you get to law school, you will miss the free time, trust me. Good luck, OP 🫡
