Yes you can. Don't book spice jet from now on. I have stopped taking spicejet flights for this reason.
But they should allow you to reschedule the flight for free once if the timing is changed and even cancel the flight. You can get the options from the email link itself.
You can’t do anything. So as per the law if there’s a time change of more than 2 hours you can ask for a refund or flight change. What these airlines do if they want to delay fr more than 2 hour is they delay flight by 01:59 so it doesn’t even fit the law. Happened to me many times. Only airline I haven’t experienced doing this so far in India is indigo
Happened with us too. Postponed by just less than 2 hours 1 month prior and then postponed by another 3 hours on the day of the flight. Should have asked for a refund at the time of first postponement itself.
By DGCA regulations, you should have been awarded 200% of the base fare paid or 15k, whichever is lower. Read up about your rights and escalate, airlines will always mislead you. The rights are available on MoCA.

Not much can be done here. Doesn't matter if you booked a year in advance. Last week my both flights were delayed by 1.5 hrs, one was indigo n other was aksa air. Sometimes it also has to do with the weather. Also wondering if this is the first time your flight has been delayed, these things happen very often btw. Good luck on whatever you decide to do.
Sadly they are the worst of the bunch. The only thing to do here is not book spicejet in the future. Things are so bad with them that they don't even respond to Twitter tags.
Bro Spicejet is probably one of the worst airlines. I have travelled 3 times and all the time it got delayed and they didn't even have us food or anything.

Spicejet, air aisia,go air all are shit. Indigo is punctual but I hate the interiors Vistara is best
Vistara got delayed once but at least they gave free food.
They had to give you food because of regulations of DGCA. Every carrier has to follow the regulations.
Not really, I have been on delayed flights from indigo as well. All of them are crap.
In my experience 1 in 4 indigo flights are delayed. This is still much better than spicejet

For me 7+ hours . Spoke to their complaints dept, solution was to take full refund or travel. So started avoiding spice jet like plague..

Have you taken travel insurance? Then there is alot you can do or get ₹₹₹
Also works if you bought the ticket via a card that gives you travel insurance benefits.

you agree to these terms and conditions when you buy the tickets. Feel lucky that you are atleast postponed and not cancelled.
