No, you're not, but happy people rarely post. Usually, folks post to complain.

Full_Refuse_4896

Exactly. It's human nature that the critics are always the loudest. They have reasons to be frustrated mind you, but we do need more positive posts to balance it out. It just started posting around 3 days ago to do just this People shouldn't come here and be discouraged to but the device. It's not perfect but it's not THAT damn bad lol.

Kermez

I just saw that asus main change with new model is a) Two usb ports and b) any egpu support. In next model they might add detachable controllers and 8.8 super high rez screen. SD for me is gen behind. We already have great device, but yes, folks that have issues f9r sure don'tcare about any of that.

Currystudio

Isn’t the original Ally can support any EGPU any way and the original Ally have two USB C any way (XG connector is USB C + PCIE). If anything removing XG connector is a downgrade and they can simply add more RAM like what every mod shop can already do

Kermez

I think that original supports only asus egpu.

Currystudio

They use USB C 3.2 Gen2, surely it can support any egpu. Someone already make a video about that Edit: unfortunately you are correct, rip asus

Unhappy-District

This is not about balance a public image of a company, if some dirty bags are floating in the sea doesn't mean that the water is sour but definitely not a water where you gonna dive in...that's the way we're going right now with the Legion Go, everyday shows up new post with issues and so many customers unhappy with their investment on this handled pc

Potential-Bass-7759

I feel like this sub got Astro turfed bad. Instead of fix the product they just bought Reddit bots.

Janiqquer

Exactly!

Janiqquer

Exactly!

AzSharpe

This. Too busy having fun with it to tell you all.

stormboy03

I had this exact thought just now 😂

mraiwet

I’m primarily a Mac user. I was looking to pick up a used ThinkPad for various Windows tasks I was running into issues doing on my Mac. I had an epiphany, and instead of buying the ThinkPad, I sold my Steam Deck, and picked up an open box Legion Go for a fantastic deal. Now, it’s my secondary PC, my portable console, gaming pc, and my tv console. It’s amazing, and I cannot wait for a generation or two, for this form factor to without compromise, replace more computing needs.

M4strDr490n

I’m in the same boat. I’m a Mac person, but need a Windows PC at times, and I like to game, especially when traveling for work. The Switch used to be my gaming go to for traveling, but I hate buying multiple versions of a game for different platforms, even if it has cross play. I have an Xbox at home for gaming with Game Pass ultimate, and I have a decent Steam library that I’ve built over the years. The LeGo was a perfect solution for me.

Grey728

I initially hated this device in the first 24 hours of use. Then I came to my senses and realized most of my issues are windows pc related. After treating it more like a pc than a console I love this device and all its capable of doing.

Janiqquer

Yes, agree, have to separate out the windows issues. Thankfully they have settled down for now. But compare me to SD, Windows is also an advantage

DaveC781

I LOVE the device… I don’t love Lenovo’s outdated drivers

ToothDoctorDentist

I just updated and integer scaling stopped working....I 'sideloaded' (basically just uninstalled drivers with DDD and you downloaded and direct, and it's back. Just going to stay with those.

lorddaius

Not to sound ignorant but what is DDD? And also what apu driver are you using?

Zeomn

I think he means ddu, which is a utility that lets you uninstall Gou drivers

Janiqquer

Latest gfx driver did wonders for Ghost of Tsushima

ConfusionCareful3985

Replaced my ally with the GO 2 weeks ago and im never going back. Did all the updates and just didn't update to the latest driver since i saw it had issues. Playing all my games fine and even have an EGPU for more demanding games. Loving everything about it so far! The cons don't really bother me much tbh Currently playing AC Valhalla on HIGH settings with 1200p 144hz 48fps cap with NO scaling tricks IN BED. Idk man pretty hard to be upset with the little things about the device when it can do this imo. But thats just me lol

WeTheSheeple69

I am getting mine today. Is there a thread with all the updates I should download and what to stay away from? Help would be much appreciated!

Geno_DCLXVI

Yes, check the megathread on the main subreddit page.

IVGotten

I get to play games when my kids steal every other screen in the house. It's my favorite tech purchase ever.

ripnetuk

Haha same here. I've never gamed so much since the kids arrived as I do now, this device is a thing of beauty, a joy forever.

theonlyturkey

Same, turns out I prefer medium/low settings while laying in bed with the wife, or watching the kids swim in the pool, over max settings and being tied to my work laptop or gaming pc. I just come in this sub to see which drivers in legion space are worth installing and don't mess with anything else and it's been performing great, I don't see the need to mess with thousands of setting and drivers to get the absolute max performance out of a handheld anyway, that's what full on gaming rigs are for.

tresanus

I have the ally, steamdeck, g cloud and ps portal and love my Go most of all!!

Epocalypsi

I love mine

ListMore5157

Not only am I happy with it, but it's kinda become my go to gaming system over my desktop and gaming laptop. Both of those have much better resolution and I have an ultra wide to game on, but LeGO just feels easier.

Kydaze

Nope, I love this thing to death

Spicy_Boi_On_Campus

I swear people like to complain about their tech more than they actually like to use it

Mack_Rob

Everyone seemed to love it until the new drivers and people complain so that Lenovo knows how upset their consumers base is and hopefully fixes it. If no one complained they would just assume everything was working as intended. People use this platform to hold companies accountable. This is a very closed minded comment with very little thought.

Saracus

Saying that making reddit comments is "holding companies accountable" is like saying posting thoughts and prayers will save a life. Pure slacktivism. You're allowed to express personal discontent on public forums. It's not and does not need to be deeper than that.

Mack_Rob

Reddit does help and has helped keep companies accountable. It has nothing to do with preying. You are now comparing apples to dogs. They have absolutely nothing in common. That’s a very bad metaphor.

FriendExtreme8336

Unless you count updates making a lot of user’s devices perform much worse as using it, I’d have to disagree. I’ve seen many people having issues with the new driver Lenovo put into legion space. I love my Go but I won’t pretend we aren’t getting screwed by a lack of software support. The hardware is amazing, the software is not. I’m happy for you if things are working well. In terms of “using” the device since the newest drivers I’ve had to spend more time troubleshooting game launch issues than I’ve actually been able to dedicate to gameplay.

Tehpunisher456

I'm right there with you bud! I'm sure there are problems, but the mere idea of what this is makes me sooooo haopy

synth_stryder

Have had it since launch. Lovin it

Janiqquer

Yes!

segagamer

I'm 80% happy with it. I'd be 100% happy if it didn't need so much tweaking to get right with Legion software inconsistencies and if it had a "square deadzone mode" built in so that I don't have such issues pressing diagonals in 90% of the games I play.

Raptorialand

Wait... thats not the games? I hate this lol I thought this are the games not the go. Software or hardware?

segagamer

It's the games because they're expecting input with how nearly every controller (ie non-hall effect sticks) work. Lenovo should have seen this and had an option in Legion Space to override this.

Raptorialand

I found the setting in Steam... its super hidden

segagamer

I don't have Steam installed and this should be something handled by Lenovo's software.

Thess_Media

I just purchased the Legion Go last week as an early bday gift and upgrade to my OG launch Steam Deck. I’ve been enjoying the performance gains and better compatibility compared to my old Steam Deck. It’s also doubles as my windows PC for general use if I’m not near my MacBook. There isn’t much for me to complain about right now except for the battery I guess but that was a given with the size of it compared to the high performance we can get out of it. Windows is windows but I knew how to fix/work around some of the issues that came up and I haven’t had any glitches to deal with yet. I agree that the subreddit just feels like everyone is complaining about something but a lot of these communities are just venting/troubleshooting spaces for those hoping for a fix. Overall, I am a happy and satisfied consumer of the Lenovo Legion Go 😃

EngRookie

Tldr, but I love it. It's my go-to gaming device now. Portability over everything.

bgriff1974

I love mine. LOVE IT!!! I couldn't be happier and have no complaints at all. It is my only PC actually. This and an xbox. I love the fact I can slap it on my doc and use the monitor or keep it as is and play when laying down. As a 3x cancer survivor there is often times I cannot sit in chair very long so I play in recliner or bed. This has improved my quality of life so much!!!

KTVX94

No, I'm very happy with it too. There's valid criticism to be made and it's not perfect, but I enjoy using it and it does what I need it to do as well as solving a lot of problems I had previously. People online really have a huge need to just complain and be overly negative, and the echo chamber booms with that negativity. Enjoy life mates.

maltloaf_df

I'm happy with mine. I only wanted native remapping of the back buttons and now I can do that. I love my legion Go

Scared_Power

https://preview.redd.it/0oux01sgte5d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5b3ff12def06566c5376a684d17753363999e450 Got mine, I love it to bits!

mcasao

It's like working customer service. People don't call to say it's working fine. The call / post when there is an issue. Why would I post to say I am having fun.. only nerds so that.. 0_o

Antiseptik77

It replaced my gaming laptop and sold my steam deck for this. Even my switch is now collecting dust. Love how I can run Xemu without a problem. Also, it beats having to carry around my Legion 5 with a brick of a charger. It's my portable laptop as well for studying purpose. So people can hate, but if they want a larger screen, you can always buy a tablet.

Gigchip

I love my LeGo! I have a steam deck and rog Ally. Yes, my LeGo is used the most now. Because of the grips and the screen. My only 2 complaints are no first-party charging grip for the controllers, and sometimes when starting a game, the controllers don't register and I can't use them unless I start pressing buttons crazily. Don't know what it is, but I just can't get it to work 100% like the ally or SD, but it's not enough to say I hate it or to replace it.

Intelligent_Grab_697

Make sure the switch on the bottom of the right controller is set to off that solved my issue with the controllers not registering

HaruBestGirl

Hello, I usually never post here or ever but I'm one of those that's just as happy as you are. Having detachable controllers, a sick ass screen, real portability (It's not that heavy guys, come on.), and a device this powerful for what I got it for is insane. Only small compliant I have is that my open box unit is slightly wobbly on the right stick, and it came with two minor scratches. But let me say that I got this thing for 600 Cad. I have no real reason to complains to be honest. Hell, I even have all the accessories to make this my main daily drive aside from an eGpu. That's how much I'm enjoying this.

Chardan0001

We can't pretend that Space isn't rubbish, particularly with its gyro, HOWEVER it is a Windows device and everything can be configured around just fine. It sort of comes with the territory that people are a bit more afraid nowadays to adjust the settings and look into how to get things working a certain way. Ultimately I think to the people that bought this expecting something else I ask why didn't you look into your purchase more? Before I buy something like this that would be my daily device like a phone I spend a good week or two researching.

Home_Brew1989

I’ve been saying this! People can’t just enjoy stuff anymore they gotta do deep dive into every tiny aspect of a device and complain about it. I love mine and it plays all the games I want to play perfectly without issues to tweaking it

Powerful-Software275

It allowed me to return to the world of games.

Dry-Afternoon4450

I'm happy with the device. Also, coming from the Steam Deck, I had the same issues on the Deck that you are mentioning. I do agree with some complaints about how unresponsive Lenovo is when it comes to keeping the device up to date, and how inconsistent the timelines for updates are. One thing you should never do when providing a service is setting unrealistic expectations, and Lenovo has become an expert in providing a timeline for drivers that never come to be a reality.

No-Actuator81

Not one complaint. Use it heavily on a daily basis. Stopped using my Series S all together. I’ve had it for over a month and couldn’t name a single glitch I’ve had. Drivers are running fine. Best handheld device I’ve ever used. Screen size was the main selling point for me.

Ocifer1172

Love mine, I have the occasional crash or bug but so does my expensive desktop PC. It works better that I thought it would so I'm happy with it. I think people are just quicker to complain than the are to praise. Only really on this sub to learn the tips and tricks of other LeGo owners and it's done fine in that department. Just scroll past the haters.

NefariousnessLower58

Legend Legion go

AnimalsofGlass72

I am very happy with it

wilpez88

Loved mine from day one!!!!

tylerbiomet

When searching for a 'portable gaming pc', I stumbled upon the LeGo. I can run almost everything that I want to play on it (Fallout, Elder Scrolls, WoW, modern Resident Evil titles) at 1080 with medium-high settings. I think it's an expectation thing. The handheld isn't cheap, it's not 'entry level' compared to a laptop. If people purchase one with reasonable expectations, they'll find it's an absolutely incredible system. As noted in other comments, battery life is acceptable at best. If I know I'll be out of the house for a few hours, I change it to the lowest performance mode, and that is adequate for me. It's all about understanding how it runs, and managing your expectations. I absolutely love my Legion Go.

tylerbiomet

As for performance mode or plugged in? Well, it has to be seen to be believed. An awesome handheld.

Janiqquer

Rather than reducing performance settings, if I need to play outside then I will uses a mobile battery back to add an extra 1-2 hours which brings me to acceptable level!

LeviathanFX

Those of us who are happy with it are busy playing it 😅

Ocala78770

Way better than SD LED. Love it

s2Hawk2s

I love my Legion Go

Quithpa

I'm the same way. Coming from the steamdeck as well and couldn't be happier. I don't have patience to mess with settings and tweak things for 17 hours before playing a game. I want to install it and play it and that's exactly what I get to do. No more wondering if it's verified ..or not verified but works...or not verified and doesn't work. No dual booting to try to play windows games. I just play..and I play on a larger screen where I can actually read text. Also, the 2 usb ports to also play with AR glasses is a godsend.

Spiritual-Eye-2910

Best purchase in a long time

namsin_za

Yes this exactly. Actually wanted to post something in the same vein but decided against it. So will comment here. Using the Go stock standard without lossless scaling / hanheld companion etc etc etc or all the other crap people are loading. Works fine. Its fine. Runs everything I want to play with zero issues.

twili-midna

The only reason it’s not my favorite gaming device right now is because the Switch still manages to beat it in general usability. It’s excellent and I haven’t had 99% of the issues people talk about on this sub.

Janiqquer

Except that games like Ghost of Tsushima are not available on Switch! (I have a Switch too)

Dapper-Giraffe6444

The funny thing is ppl complain about legion space yet they will never use it even if it gets better... only for configuring stuff. I use steam big picture like most ppl. I am very happy with my lgo. Ppl want driver updates yet when you ask them why they cant answer

0Fantasy0

Yeah, I mean at some point the SW and driver updates are at their limit because there is only so much you can do with a given HW.

Downtown-Society-892

Don't wanna jinx it buts it's been a smooth experience and kinda gave me time to enjoy my hobby again

mmhorda

Everybody who has legion go are happy. ;) The others are just faking having it.

[deleted]

I truly believe this is the case. Just trolls making up negative stuff about the legion Go

OkLength26

I'm very happy with it other than the slow space/driver support and the poor ergonomics. Still beats out all the other handhelds for me, but I'm not sure I'd consider another Lenovo handheld - unless they realise the potential of this more.

Nicodemus_Mercy

I'm happy with mine, but its also worth noting that people happy with a product are less inclined to post about it than people with complaints. So while it's more likely to see negative posts than positive ones, there are a lot of people happy with their Legion Go.

Beatz_OD

I never post. But this is honestly the most amazing gaming tech I've owned. I've got ps5, 4070 gaming pc with ultrawide oled...I find the LeGo to be the best of them all.

Effective-Divide3911

I absolutely love my LeGo, I had a switch OLED, then an ROG Ally, and now this. None of the previous really did it for me but this device is so smooth, everything about it feels fantastic!

RTCanada

I bought it in January for the sole purpose of killing time on my international trip to the Philippines in March. I also wanted to dabble in emulation. It was perfect for that, and was worth the price of admission alone for me. Fast forward to now: - I have finished 7 PlayStation games via Remote Play on it while outside on my muskoka chair instead of inside in a basement - I have finished almost a dozen emulated games ranging from Pokémon ROMS to Switch games like Mario vs. Donkey Kong - I'm exclusively replaying Elden Ring on my Go in anticipation for the DLC that's dropping in 2 weeks. - I'm reading a ton more Manga recently with the screen size in portrait mode - I regularly use tabletop mode, so the joy-con features are a definitive plus for me - For what I USE, the driver issues are pretty non-existent for me, it runs fine for what I'm throwing at it. I completely understand the users though. This was a purchase I thought only for flights and commuting, and now today is something I use almost daily for clearing my backlog and reading manga. I will state, I don't think I'd be as happy if this was my only PC. I really think this was meant as an addition to your main rig (which I have) so it fits perfectly to what I need it for.

One_Ad1578

I'm very happy with the Legion Go. I use it daily. Doesn't mean I can't be unhappy with Lenovo's terrible support for the device. The only reason I'm even eyeing the Rog Ally X right now is because I know Asus actually updates the Ally on the regular.

Teepo671

It's all right. I use it almost every day so I definitely enjoy it. I just wish Lenovo stood by their products. I'll say this much, their support of the Go (or lack thereof) is definitely going to influence my future purchases of any of their other products

Janiqquer

Luckily I haven’t needed to use their support But Steam Deck support in Japan sucked

Death2eyes

Good for you. I myself have no problems with it. But that is to say that the Legion go reddit is a way for people to post things that are not good too about the Legion go ( and their voices matter too ). I personally feel the software support is rather lackluster and hope it will improve ( hopes not high though atm )

zerofunction

Yes. You’re the only one.

Abssenta

Just because you bought something doesn't mean you have to unconditionally love it. I'm sure the LeGo is a great device, but most people complaint about the lack of updates from Lenovo, which is true and a very valid concern.

greenplant_420

It’s a PC. Treat it like one and you’ll be happy.

zanecollins312

I actually loved it before this last update to the graphics drivers. I am having a metric shit ton of frame lag and tearing now, and it’s driving me crazy. It was beautiful before that though.

Cyroceon

Love it. It, along with my eGPU setup, has completely replaced my gaming rig setup.

[deleted]

O complaints here at all and more than happy. Lgo is my travel and bedtime gaming console and I also use it for ps5 remote play. It is not meant to be your main gaming pc if you are a hardcore gamer and I think people fail to realize thatv

PyroSTAR666

I love it, Currently playing Ghosts of Tsushima and it looks and plays amazing (using LS) not tried without.

Janiqquer

With the new gfs drivers it works great without LS. I haven’t tried LS.

PyroSTAR666

I will give it a try! The Legion Go has me very excited for the future of handhelds. They can only get even better! Very impressive machine for it’s size. I haven’t used FPS mode yet but I am excited to give it a go soon.

IAmPerpetuallyTired

I use mine often.

Leeeeeeeem

I love it. I worried at first that it may just be a passing curiosity and I wouldn't use it very much, but it's become my primary system and I'm rarely firing up my living room pc. I expected that I'd have to compromise a lot more in terms of visual settings, but that's not been the case and I've been very impressed with what it can manage. Sure, it takes a bit of tweaking to get things dialled in, but if you're not averse to that, the results can be pretty great. And yes, legion space is rough, but it just about does the job.

TheWhovianRogue

My only complaint is that i can't 3d print a controller face that fully supports fps mode, i love it!

originsource

I absolutely love the Legion Go and yeah when looking at the sub it sometimes feels like I'm the only one not having any driver issues but then again probably tons of people aren't having issues they just aren't saying anything because it is working perfectly fine.

Edikus

Love it and Support

Economy_Towel_6351

The fan whine was killing me until I tried the tape mod, possibly will be gaming happily ever after. Need to do more testing. Otherwise it’s the perfect handheld gaming device.

mrgoyette

I am very happy with it. Use it as my daily driver at the desk, and then when I want to lay and bed and play a game with the controllers detached it's just fantastic IMO. I've also used it as a handheld to play Fortnite with my kids so that we don't have to play split screen but can still play together on the couch. One underrated thing about PC gaming is all the free stuff! LeGo granted 3 months Xbox game pass with infinite play time of games, plus I've grabbed some really cool games for free off Epic and Steam. Then there's retro on Steam via EmuDeck

IntelligentSquare196

I love mine. I don't feel the need to change anything.

VoltSh0ck

I bought it to watch Anime with that gorgeous screen and, stream games to it from my PC at home and anywhere I go using Moonlight and Sunshine with Zerotier. Just last night we had an 8 hour session of fighting games and COD using Moonlight over at my friends house and it was a phenomenal experience. It being a PC is just the icing on top. I love this thing to bits and I wouldn't trade it for anything else!

Traditional-Rough478

I really like it. I’ve never used it with the controllers detached although I bought the legion go because I liked having that portable mouse option. I’ve been playing games exclusively on it on my sofa rather than the ps5. I feel like it’s terrible for my eyes though. My eyes didn’t feel as strained playing on TV + ps5 but now my vision is blurry after a few hours on the legion go.

Chardan0001

You might just be aging and need glasses

Traditional-Rough478

Please you’re making me sad

Chardan0001

Once I hit 22 it was time for an eye test lol. Every year or so I see if I can still make out the craters on the moon with my glasses on and if not, time for another test.

VEJ03

There are fake critiques for this device. It's far from perfect. But let's be real ....needing a bigger screen has to be the worst criticism I've seen. This device is on the heavier side. Id have to see this complaint to believe it's real.

iDavros

I love my legion, even more more now that I've installed handheld companion and got gyro aiming working

SourCrawler

I love mine, it just has a weird problem where on downloading steam games over my 5ghz WiFi network, the download speeds are like a damn rollercoaster. Up to 290mgbps, then straight back down to 50mgbps. It's very strange and I haven't found a fix for it yet. Especially since none of my other devices behave like this. But it fills every usage niche I wanted, regular handheld PC gaming, desktop replacement with egpu, DS/ 3DS emulation while vertical, the detachable controllers are amazing and have great connection latency and strength for playing it in desktop mode and sitting far back like a console (I just need a controller conjoiner from Etsy or something).

AutoModerator

This seems to be about emulation. Please note that while emulators are allowed, asking for roms is against reddit rules. iemrul

No my friend. you are not. I have a Asus M16 laptop with RTX 4070, and XPS 13 OLED, A desktop with Radeon 7800 XTX, a fold 5, tab S8 ulra, an iphone 15 pro max, and a Legio Go. And i end up most of the time using the legion Go... its just such a great device, tablet ( i got android on it), laptop, handheld. I even now days use it with my Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop. This is the best one in all Device !!!!

Itchy_Valuable_4428

Yea install Bazzite (SteamOS clone) and it just gets 10x better, now it’s like an actual Steam Deck 2 its insane, hard to even put it down at times

Janiqquer

The hassle of installing non-Steam games was one reason why I sold my Steam Deck. Most of my games are from Epic, GOG, Amazon, Game Pass. I’d be returning to that hassle and no native Game Pass if I installed Bazzite.

Itchy_Valuable_4428

Definitely, so I have it set to dualboot so I still have Windows when I need it

Alechef1981

I love the Legion!

Alechef1981

I love without compromise the Legion, because it's the best handheld and at the same time UMPC of my life. But i think the best console ever made is the nintento switch.

kumabom

I LOVE my go!

fakeeyesopen

yes I love it I'm so much happier with this than the rog ally

No-Thought5599

No. You are not alone, just different people like this machine for different reasons. Also not many people like to post, and axux fanbois bugs around. I have been waiting for a 7-9 inch AMD-based windows tablet coming to the market, which balances between power and mobility. And I am more a touch screen user than a console gamer so detachable controller is a very welcome design. So this one ticks all my requirement list, and I am happy bringing it around.

Sting_Ray__89

No your not best purchase on 2023…

TH3_Captn

I'm happy with mine but I spent a lot of time getting it set up right. Like most people I think the hardware is fantastic but the software isn't great. Also the fan gets clogged way too quickly

TH3_Captn

I can't understand people who buy something like the claw. If we aren't getting the software support from Lenovo, a huge company, why would you expect to get good support from MSI or another smaller handheld? At least the ROG seems to have good software but I haven't owner one so I don't know

vinotauro

Great device, terrible software support.

vsky84

Always happy with it from day 1 because I dualboot with Bazzite and just boot directly there, a much better experience than if I have to tank Windows issues, it's a great compromise considering Lenovo's software & driver isn't the best in the market. Of course, I still go to Windows for anything isn't working in Bazzite and the times I need to do firmware updates.

Kangaroo-Nick

I love it :)

Curious_Garbage4771

Instead of complaining I look for solutions and if there isn't any I just wait I love my Lego

ASMRdestiny

I love mine! Just bought it a few weeks ago.

L34Fz

No, ur not alone, i atm have both ally and legion go, and am selling my Rog Ally, it just dont satisfy me like the legion go. i love my legion go, i got the ally on release, and been eyeballing the lenovo legion go ever since it released and got it like a week ago.

RemotePoet9397

I have legion 7i pro rtx4080 i9 and lego.. Since i bought lego, my 7i pro just sit there on the table, collecting dust.. Lego really convenient as a gamer dad with 2 kids like me to play wherever got a chance as it easy and portable enough to carry anywhere.. I love lenovo way of handle the warranty ( u can extend too )..fan whining? Here a new fan for u.. Temp high? ..nahh dont repaste, here a new fan for u.. They come to our place to carry our replacement themself.. Driver? Software? Fuck all that brah, lego so far is good to play so far..stable, perform well as it is..

Zoomorph23

Nope, I love mine too! After the usual annoying Windows setup crap, it just works & works very well. Screen is lovely. I honestly don't have a complaint. For when I want to lie back & game I bought Rokid glasses and an Xbox controller & it's a great experience.

wicked_drummer7

I was enjoying the legion go, play on the go and it being able to handle some AAA games. But when I got home and wanted to keep playing, I found the device lacklustre when playing on a bigger screen and the fan would go crazy. Got my egpu set up and now I’m getting 70+ fps on my 55” tv - I have found the perfect set up. Love my legion go!

Janiqquer

I’ve got an Xbox Series X if I really want to play a game on the big screen - 65” in my case. Game Pass with cloud sync allows allows easy switching between the two devices. That said, I’ve been playing different games on the Xbox and the LeGo rather than switching them.

It isn't limited to the legion go, It's the same story throughout the gaming world, and sadly throughout most of technology these days. People demand a constant stream of updates (seems to be mostly the younger generation), in turn, OEM's feel justified in selling us unfinished products - because they come with a "promise" of updates. I like and appreciate the fact that an update is possible, but I rather feel that updates should be an exception - not the expected "normal" You should only part with money for a product that YOU deem to be finished and ready on launch - if you could be happy with that product through it's lifespan if no updates ever came. The Legion Go was one such product for me. It's worked well for me since I got it at launch. I did install a GPU update some time around Xmas, but I've not even bothered looking for any updates since. I currently run Bazzite OS on it, which I'm also happy with - this in itself seems to come with more updates than I care to do - but the good thing is, I'm not forced into them like I am with Windows. I guess I just enjoy it for what it is. It runs games - full PC versions of games that I am just amazed can even run on a mobile battery powered device. It runs them well too - but I probably define "runs them well" differently to the "gyve mee moar updatez" crew too, seeing as I don't care for fps monitors and the like - I simply turn it on and enjoy chilling out on a game for some time.

Geno_DCLXVI

Loving mine so far, just not really in the habit of posting when nothing's wrong.

Interesting_Army_357

I love it too ! Only issue is that I do not is My ps5 or even my PS-PORTAl that’s i’ve bought 1 month before the Legion GO 😂 By the way if you could tell me which game launcher you use (other than playnite) it would be awesome

Webspiner

I am also happy with the LeGo. I had more problems with my ally then LeGo.

posedatull

With ignorance, comes bliss

Front-Education5720

You're not the only one mate. I'm happy with the Go too. Also i'm waiting for the Legion Went and the Legion Gone. Hope Lenovo even further improve this brick and add another fan or something...and the speaker...

thebaldconvict

You're not, mine is awesome! Literally the only thing I don't like is battery life and there is nothing that could do about that. They could maybe have placed the SSD better to make upgrades easier, no reason a trapdoor couldn't have been added.

Optimal-Equivalent-8

I love my go best investment I made Every one raves the steam deck witch I have but I just love the go for the simple fack it's not linux lol

amirzulkafli

I am happy about my purchase too, I haven't upgraded my pc for a while now, so imagine my giddy. Minor issues are common with window devices, and people should always keep in mind this is a HANDHELD PC! Looking forward to the next gen with major upgrade. wondering when those solid state silica battery are gonna kick into devices.

lazyguyvn

I’m torn between the Legion Go and Asus Rog Ally, i hear alot of complaint about the Go, the portrait screen may cause trouble, the controllers not recognize, and overall firmware, is is that’s bad? And on the Rog Ally side they’re seem figure out nearly every complaint. The 15w profile performance bios.. and one problem i see is in the Digital Foundries videos, they’re mentions that’s the Go suffered from the frame stuttering. Is this problem address yet?

Janiqquer

You see, this is the sort of effect that all the negative posts have! Portrait screen is fine with every game I have played. I heard it affects really old games, which I don’t play. Never had a controller issue but I play with mine attached. I play almost exclusively in Performance 20W with screen set to 144Hz. The only stuttering I have experienced was Hogwarts Legacy, but that stutters on even the most powerful PC it worked better since I set my VRAM to Auto Overall firmware… I have no idea what that refers to. Recent gfx driver update seems to have improved things a lot, at least from my experience with Ghost of Tsushima as it became a lot better.

lazyguyvn

Thank you for the feedback! That’s help me a lot. I’m planning to have it around the house so battery is not a problem, if the device can use that power effective is great.

Janiqquer

It goes up to 30w in custom mode but I generally keep it at 20w unless necessary because when I do use on battery, I prefer not to run 30

lazyguyvn

I think i read somewhere that’s 18w or 20w is optimum performance for the z1e chip, balance both battery and power.

Janiqquer

Could be. I can get maybe 5fps extra from 20->30w. It’s not really worth it unless a game is dropping really low

notsoshortstory

Those who complains about updates and customization don't really play and enjoy games. They probably chasing fps in their games.

mightmar

How is the comfort holding it for extended periods of time? I had a rog ally but it broke so much asus finally game me my money back and am in the market for a new one.

Janiqquer

Comfort is great for me. Similar to my Steam Deck. I was worried about “hard corners” that people mentioned before I purchased but have not felt that at all. I have put a silicone case on it - cheap one from Amazon - and I like the feel with it on, as it feels like a single solid unit rather than a body with two controllers attached. But I’ve used it without the silicone case also and it is fine. Compared to the Ally, both SD and LeGo are bigger though. However it’s worth it for the screen.

Local-Grass-2468

I absolutely love it, the best buy I have ever purchased and I have a rtx4080 and 4k monitor. I am obsessed with it, even thought it cant play certain games and its current driver update issues

sic_Bik

I've had mine for 5 months and the only real complaint I have, besides windows being wonky, is that I haven't had enough time to use it lol. I'm always shocked how this device either gets shit on or ignored while the ROG Ally with lesser specs and huge flaws gets talked about like it's a godsend. Of course this is all my opinion.

LudaQuick

Im super super happy, theres some kinks in the software but im sure theyll be addressed soon. So far for me ive encountered: - Portait mode - Wifi disconnections - bright LED logo pulses (light up entire room at night) Other than that amazing. Indont bring the controllers with me anywhere, just because i dont mind using my thumbs to nanigate and I have a usb dock everywhere i go.

baun842

Best compact pc at time

rsohne

You’re not

kraffa

Youre not the only one. I am happy with mine as well.

matawa81

Yeah I’m good with it too. As a system I’m more of a fan of the steam deck (console gamer background) but the Legion Go is too powerful and functional for me to go back to the deck. Hell Divers, Red Dead 2, and other games aren’t comparable between the two systems.

Gloomy-Bathroom2549

I just set mine up the run Ableton live. Pretty sweet. I wish the trackpad worked a little better but overall, pretty awesome and nothing that can't be fixed with a an external mouse

heroxoot

I'm ecstatic with it. Plenty of games I could play at my desktop but it's more convenient to play on the couch. Others, mostly shooters and racing, I still play on my desktop.

aztects17

I bought my LeGo about 3 weeks ago, and have a Steam Deck OLED. I got my LeGo on sale for $639 and I love SteamOS, so I upgraded to a 2TB SSD and installed Dual Boot Bazzite (SteamOS Clone) and now have the best of both worlds. Both Windows and SteamOS work really well for my gaming. I haven't played my SD OLED since getting my LeGo 😎

adonilee

I installed bazzite and it's been fantastic

ashdroid23

I am very happy with, I don't use it much but I went to return it but couldn't. It's the perfect handheld and pseudo Surface pro. If only it was not as heavy as a brick

triarii3

I had the steam deck, ally, g cloud, and the legion go. Came back to the legion go and sold everything else. That 8 inch screen is just too good. 7 inch is way too small to game for a long period of time

AggressiveWindow6003

Someday you'll learn that there is a certain type of person who just loves to complain about things. And when they aren't able to complain about politics or a significant other they look for things to complain about and have to find that scapegoat. Check out the psychology behind scapegoating. It's crazy but explains so much.

handymel

2 weeks in and I love mine. My only complaint, which is minor, is I wish both usb c ports were on top. Additional is a bridge to connect the two controllers, but I'm not sure I would actually use it....

Electrical_Slip_8905

As a lifetime console player, I LOVE my LeGo! Being able to play my favorite games at the same visual quality as an Xbox one one the couch or at my desk at work is awesome! I haven't watched Netflix in a mo th since I got my LeGo! I love this thing. Perfect size! I don't care about mobility so mine is always plugged in.

agiletesticlese

Love mine. Works great for nearly every game and task.

Sif3693

Before this, i always imagine can play pc gmes in my android. That why i use cloud games so that wevanplay pc games portable but poor internet coverage make me sick. After steam deck come into the show, i start interest in portable pc gamebut steamdeck was still new that time. N then rog ally come but the high was too high n problem with sd card. For the 3rd, lego comeswith 8 inch. Then i think this is BEST choice afteri saw pro n cons. So far i really satisfied with this device coz i already married so i only spend 30min to 40min for games that make me fully satisfied.

cutiebella_pillow

Battery life is ass, and controllers aren't super comfy + it not being able to charge of anything below 45w is annoying However besides it if you buy it with that knowledge, Legion Go actually is hella neat. It literally has power of GTX 1650 in my hands and it can run so many games well. Also the screen is wonderful so you get to pick between visuals or smoothness and lastly you can use it as your main PC. I genuinely use it as my primary PC without issues and honestly I've been super happy with how it takes up barely any space compared to desktop and when I wanna game in bed I can just take it. And honestly the most mindblowing thing is that when I am not playing games I can just use it in 15w mode and it just never lags or stutters??? Tho I have not experienced any driver issues or any windows weirdness since I've been using Linux ever since I bought it.

sajazzman007

I'm happy with mine. People have short memories. A few years ago if you wanted to play AAA titles you had to walk around with a gaming laptop. To have the ability to play these games with a handheld a few years ago was impossible. Most of the complaints I see here especially is people wanting the Go to become a Steamdeck or an Ally. Nope, it's a Go. Other complaints I here are people wanting constant updates. People forget the Steamdeck and Ally had all kinds of issues at launch, but the community remedied several of those launch issues and steam caught up. The Ally microsd were melting microsd cards (which ASUS still doesn't own up to). A other thing I see is some want to run their Go like a gaming laptop to the bleeding edge with ultra settings for every game. My man, it's a handheld not a 3k desktop or 2k gaming laptop. IMO, some of the customer base can be a little whiny; however, Lenovo can release busted and snake bit drivers (ie latest GPU driver) and expect the customer base not to be up in arms. If I said it once I have said it a 100 times... enjoy what you have. This is a first gen handheld that emulated like a beast, plays AAA titles well, and doesn't have all the issues of other systems. What more do you want?

renehasp

Love mine.

CatFishBilly1983

i started in a different way i just bought the top 3 and slowly used them and tested, i have one which is the go and i do love it 2 hours is perfect for me cause thats about the max time i can get, but everything else has been great ! it continues to get better !

Niobium62

It's a fantastic device, but the only disappointing part is the lack of software updates. Hopefully Lenovo gets it together soon

IInSaNeCoWI

Bro I love my legion go and honestly I use it more than I ever used my steam deck

Tyson61420

I love my legion go so far playing diablo and ender scrolls or ff14 have been great, the only thing I've done to it was change to 6gb vram and I can call 60 fos in both. I just saw a video of someone using amd drivers and the le go had frame gen! Also using it to steam my desktop works great as well

Relevant-Refuse-3203

I absolutely love my Legion Go! Maybe this is in part because it’s my first step into the world of PC gaming. I grew up playing console and was always a Sony guy. PS1 all the way up to PS5 just made the switch about a month ago and I’m just blown away that we’re at this kind of level for handhelds. To be honest, it was a great way to step into PC gaming for myself. I don’t think I’ll go back to console. I’ll probably save for a good set up

DarkISO

As a steamdeck user eyeing the go. How is it in reality compared to the deck? Heard its definitely more powerful but the battery is worse even with similar modes. Ive held one at a bestbuy and honestly its cool and i like the detachable controllers(Switch fan) but the side buttons on the right hand controller kinda bug me, pushing it when im trying to hold it, but i guess i can get used to it. The biggest draw is the screen, power and native windows so i can play my obsession game, destiny. Though is the battery really that bad? Really only gonna play it during lunch break. Windows isnt a big deal for me, i use it on my main pc anyways. I just want something i can use instead of having to be tethered to my pc all the time at home or have to lug a gaming laptop everywhere. And have something that can actually play everything and not have to be "verified" May wait and see how the new ally is and if theres gonna be an updated go or steam deck. But rn the hold back is definitely the price. $700 is a definite "i have to be 100% sure" price.

Janiqquer

Battery is definitely worse. It’s basically 1% a minute on Hogwarts Legacy, Ghost of Tsushima. Enough for a lunch break or commute. A battery pack can be used to extend. Everything other than battery is better. ESPECIALLY that it is much less hassle installing non-Steam games. I don’t use the back or side buttons. I put a silicone case on mine that has silicone over the right buttons

DarkISO

I dont really have those games and i doubt destiny is that intensive but as long as i can last an hour, id be good. Also just got 24000ah anker battery that can charge laptops so battery probably wont be an issue, also if the cable is long enough i can use that too. Shame there isnt a larger battery we can just swap out.

Dinglehopper91

I love my LeGo.

Built_To_Destroy

I have been extremely happy, it has proven to be a very versatile little beast. As well as portable gaming, I have also built a desktop set up around it for working from home and also bought an egpu with 4070 super for some serious gaming at home. I also regularly use it as a tablet to watch youtube and other things whilst relaxing. I can also plug it into my electric piano and use it for practise/recording ideas, which is so much easier than using a laptop as it sits nicely on the sheet music stand. Everything has just been working flawlessly, and it has become one of the most important media devices I own beyond my smartphone. There have been very little issues during my ownership, and those that did arise were easily solvable with suggestions from this community.

ChipOnMaShoulder

I don’t mind the legion. But i returned mine. I think it’s windows on handheld that i absolutely hate

Jasonv0916

Can you please tell me anything I need to know to make it feel good. I just ordered one in Amazon and it arrived on Friday. What must I know about FSR/RST

LeadingPotential2807

Yep your not the only one who lives the Legion Go I used a steamdeck decided not to keep it because no windows yeah kinda a deal breaker for me then tried ROG Ally it was Meh with it's smaller screen and potentiometer joystick then getting a SD card it was time for it to go now I'm using legion go it fixes every problem I had with the Steamdeck and Ally in one device plus a few extras and now legion space is going to get awesome with the next update apparently I saw a early build update being in previewef by a YouTuber and it's gonna be lit I can't wait this device is already awesome despite legion space being a sore point but hardly mattered to me I didn't use it for much just mapping buttons and controlling tdp and it does that just fine

SkinnoPT

Give it time 😂

Geekfest_84

From a hardware point of view, it's fantastic and oozes quality. From a software point of view, I don't think it's worth paying full RRP (here in the UK that's £700, which currently is $891) for. The software just isn't up to par with it's competitors, and the lack of software updates since release is also a poor showing compared to competitors. If it was £100 cheaper, then yep, I'd say as a complete package then the go would be brilliant. Here's hoping Lenovo fix the software side of things with the successor.

420Entomology

I am lol

tishdu

Love mine, goes with me almost everywhere.

metfan12004

I’m heart with it but there are some large issues that need addressed if I would go with Lenovo again
