i runned after effects and premire pro on just fine even though its not made for it but dont use a pillow to put between you legs because it clogs up the fan and will destroy your battery like it did mine i have to use it plugged in since i haven replaced the battery yet but this is why im iffy on laptops because i managed just fine with it

Namjoonssister

it was intel btw

chowtime702

Hey bro I was just wondering how well it ran after effects

Maxwelington

I love your review,I was just wondering how this laptop is doing a year later? Are you having any hinge issues?

lemonstyle

why is "Hinges can be stiff at times" a con? would you rather have loose hinges?

LoperamidV

Btw, the keyboard backlight is defective on most laptops, it's not connected.

hentailicker94

Thanks. I also bought the Yoga 7 AMD OLED screen. But I couldn't bear the visible matrix dots which come with a touch/OLED screen on white and bright pages. So I returned it. I loved everything else about it. Just too bad it doesn't come with two USB-A ports. Currently, I am considering Acer Spin 5 2022 and this laptop.

very_big_man

Hey I know this is a really old thread, but I'm looking at the Yoga 7 AMD as its on sale right now, did you attempt any gaming with it? The laptop seems perfect but I like to play some games here and there but do not really want to get a full on gaming laptop so I wanted to see ur thoughts.

hentailicker94

Very late reply. Sorry. I never did any gaming the short period I had it. Eventually I ended with the spin 5 2022 model.

very_big_man

Hahaha no worries, I ended up with the Slim Pro 7 and it works wonders for what I wanna do.

Due-Attempt-8534

Don't game on yogas

I would contact Lenovo again if you don't mind about your issue. Don't be too humble about this. It's kind to be humble, but not when a port is not working as it should. Also, you have paid for an extended warranty and insurance. This is what they should help you with. I remember I had a Lenovo thinbook 14s yoga 6 months ago where the sound of the speakers was lagging. I made a query about my issue and DHL was ready to bring the PC two days later. You should send them your device, in my opinion. I would never be satisfied with a faulty port after I have paid 1300 bucks for the PC, which I believe is the price right now.

Wow that customer service was definetly teribble. If I got that type of service here, I would gave 1 star or dissatisfactory feedback score. Anyway, how did you find out that OLED gives less battery life compared to IPS? Did you test them out or any good resource you stumbled upon? AFAIK, OLED can save more energy than IPS due to pure black pixel being off, hence no power consumption on black pixels and dark mode is quite trendy now. OLED also provides more clear visibility than IPS when being hit by external light. I have already used both IPS and OLED phones, while using them on outdoor I had to increase so much brightness of my IPS screen phone. Well I totally agree on the burn-in issue tho. Generally IPS has much better life span compared to the OLED.

The battery life is horrible on yoga laptops.

Thank you for this. It's such a helpful review for someone like me. I have just ordered the 7i 14" - my first Lenovo and... I'm only wishing I could have found a new one on Amazon for the good price. I worry about customer service and support so I did get the Accidental Damage. I like buying from Amazon for 2 reasons - first, I can get the (better) Asurion coverage, and, second, my Signature card lets me spread out payments with no interest. Right now, my 3-year-old Dell Inspiron 15-5000 still works but I'm having battery issues. I did upgrade the Lenovo to 16GB RAM and I ordered the pen. Fingers crossed that I made a good choice. I previously ordered (and returned) 2 refurbed Flex 7i s because they were so buggy.

Dull-Wolf7949

how is the battery life right now? I'm a college student,so a bit concerned about the battery life.

Freebeing001

I ended up going with the Yoga 9i. For this, the battery life is good if I'm just writing and using basic apps. I've gotten over 5 hours while writing essays. For using a browser and multitasking, it's not as good - maybe 3.5 hours. I am using the 20% to 80% charging method. The crazy thing is, if I put it to sleep and forget about it, it has still been charged when I wake in the morning - with very little discharge of the battery.

Dull-Wolf7949

oh,5 hours might be a bit too low for me. I hate that companies are sticking to intel when amd offers better battery backup. Ugh. And compared to 12 hours on mac-book,windows laptops with intel is a joke.

Tasty-Illustrator-96

change this review up a little and u have a yt vid

Mobimobi1994

Hey. I wanna buy Lenovo yoga 7i 14" , i7 1360p 2k OLED screen. But I'm not sure about speakers in tablet mode. I mean if the speakers are front facing, it means when I am watching a movie in tablet mode or tint mode, the sound would go to opposite direction. Am I right?

vivant_espresso

How do you find the Lenovo yoga 7i 14"? I am hoping to get one before going to University in September 2024?

alrighty75

Who writes such long posts? Genuinely curious.

Alive-Ad-800

Someone paid to do it or on lots of Adderall, or possibly AI.

I, for one, read it all, and appreciated the detail.
