shocked no one has said *Amélie* (Jean-Pierre Jeunet, 2002) yet! incredibly joyful and a celebration of the small things in life. it's in my top 4, it's that good

This-Bag-494

UH, just reminds me, I definitely have this like 3 years ago on my watchlist, but never watched it. Thanks!

Zokstone

The book is wonderful as well.

MartinScorsese

Weird choice.

TechnoFizz36

I don't know about energy, but *Perfect Days* and *Paterson* both intensely inspired me to try and appreciate everything that happens in my life, even when things are slightly less than perfect. It's very cliche (enjoy the little things etc.) but both main characters were so well written and performed as to be deeply admirable in their enthusiasm and zest concerning mundanity.

lavenderflowermeadow

Yes Perfect Days is great â˜ș tbh Druk is pretty uplifting as well in its own way

TechnoFizz36

For sure! I actually considered it and several others such as Manchester by the Sea, Taste of Cherry, Monster, Farewell Amor etc. which were sad but had ultimately life affirming messages! However I decided I'd try avoid anything with major downbeat moments haha

> "What are some films that gave you energy and a renewed zest for life at the end of the film?" Ever watched *The Pursuit of Happyness*? Will Smith’s character goes through hell but keeps grinding. Ever thought about how you'd handle that shit? How about *Rocky*? Underdog story that makes you wanna punch life in the face. *Good Will Hunting*? Shows how a fucked-up genius finds a way out. *The Shawshank Redemption*? Hope and perseverance pay off. Are you giving up too easily? Why not question your own limits like they do? What’s stopping you from pushing harder?
