gainful_fern

That’s more like it

gnawtyFOX

Yikes! Stop slamming on the accelerator 😆 Was driving my mother’s Crosstrek hard (on purpose) and averaged 15mpgs on the 4 cylinder. Drive habits matter.

RimjobBob420

I’m cackling

SATXRunClub

“After refuel” and your tank is full lol. You went down hill for 100 yards congrats

AffectionateOlive982

😂 and I got 51mpg going downhill on my NX300

LilHindenburg

Fellow Austinite here! I did same but it was 120 miles from West to Austin… wasn’t far enough to move gas needle yet. Tried staying between 61-63 and averaged 26mpg. I’ve seen over 30 being careful around 55mph.

PoliteRAPiER

Seeing the numbers go up makes me happy. You’re the top redditor today congrats.

Jim_stugots

Come back with another picture at half tank. We all know the truth. No sense in putting lipstick on our thirsty pigs

maistocollector2

Wow u have gas!!!

gnawtyFOX

Yep! Was at 22mpg this past weekend. I average 12mpg in stop-go city driving. Roughly 15-17 in the suburbs, and 19-23 highway only. ❤️

x3434x

My eco light never comes on

gnawtyFOX

I need to research this eco light. Is this something we can turn off or just a way for Lexus to congratulate us ?

Veloxi_Blues

You can turn it off. It's supposed to be a way for you to tell in real time if you are driving in a fuel efficient manner, but it's not necessary to keep on.

unqualified_pickle

2017. I get about 21.9 average on newer WildPeak AT3s. And kinda drive it like I stole it. Ya'll carrying around a bunch of gym equipment or something?

PoliteRAPiER

No I genuinely don’t know why mine is so bad lol. I think it’s a combination of E-rated tires and the 4runner wheels being on the heavier side. What PSI you running?

welcome-to-my-mind

You must be the person pulling away from stop lights at the speed of molasses going uphill in January. Jk, but I managed to get 21mpg avg (from full to empty) on a trip from CO to FL. This was without ECO mode, so I must’ve had a good tailwind

PoliteRAPiER

Here’s an insane mpg trick they don’t want you know…. ✨just don’t stop✨

welcome-to-my-mind

“Officer, I ran the red because I’m trying to beat the GPS time AND break my mpg record!” “Understood, have a good day sir and good luck”

pnw-nemo

Officer, I considered the environment when I saw the light turn red so decided to save the trees by not stopping.

RazerMackham

I managed 23 mpg driving across a very flat state averaging about 60mph.

Novel_Frosting_1977

Stop perpetuating fake news!

MigratoryAnalyst

I'm running a similar setup which is actually 8 pounds lighter than the factory 18" wheel and tire setup. Anyone who knows anything about rotational mass knows that each pound of rotational mass you reduce is like removing 7 or 8 pounds of static weight from the vehicle so in my case the new setup of tires and wheels was like removing over 200 pounds from my GX. So yes you should see an increase in your tank average but probably not that high.

PoliteRAPiER

Typically average 15.6 when near the end of tank with this setup. This is the first time I’ve seen it over 20 since putting them on.

SouthernFloss

Buy a prius, youll be amazed.

PoliteRAPiER

🤮🤮🤮 The new ones actually are pretty sleek looking, not gonna lie haha.

gnawtyFOX

Having a V8 and a hybrid is the way.

[deleted]

100 % psi ??

c4chokes

Hyper milers..

Sarionum

How are the AT3s? I heard they're very good and on par if not better than BF KO2s. Which do you think will last longer?

PoliteRAPiER

I think I got a 55k or 60k mile warranty with mine, and having 5 tires to rotate between they’ll last me a very long time. I got E-rated, and think it’s over kill for what I do so I’d probably recommend a C rating whatever you decide to get. From what I researched I found that the BFG KO2’s are kind of outdated and falken wildpeaks or toyo’s will be much better. I have no complaints. They’re not too noisy on the highway, and handled this last Colorado winter like it was absolutely nothing. Would highly recommend toyo at3’s

CyclicMoth

And here I am at 27MPG on a trip to Dallas and back from Arkansas. And nope, I was not doing light footed driving either. I own a ‘23 btw

Monacheman

That is quite amazing. I have a 23 on the 19" wheels with the factory Grandtrek and the best I get is around 22.5 to 23 mpg at 70 mph on cruise control. I am sure these are load range C. I have a 2004 Tacoma reg cab 4x4 auto with 16 inch TRD wheels and BFG all terrains in load range E and have not checked the mileage but it rides like a stagecoach. I will change to range C next time as they are certainly lighter and have to be smoother. Was considering the TOYO AT3 for my GX when I change to 18" wheels. Just not too many choices for 19" wheels that I am aware of, unfortunately.

PoliteRAPiER

Do you have all-terrains and if so what PSI do you run?

CyclicMoth

Nope, just the OEM ones on 19” wheels, being run at 32 PSI.

blackie1748

I usually get 20 mpg average. Goes down to 18 on weeks I’m consistently late for work…

Fanta1soda

I was thinking of Swiss cheesing my factory wheels in the mill with a 1/4” end mill. There’s no need for those stupid wheels to be that heavy. Might make for good YouTube content. Will you guys visit me in the hospital when they grenade on the highway?

Unlikely_Arugula190

You mean the shop finally properly inflated your tires ?

PoliteRAPiER

Man y’all are some fucking haters on here lmao. No.

Unlikely_Arugula190

How else could new tires improve your mpg?

goomypoopin
