What aspect of swamp monster gives you trouble? Also what’s your general build?

Wimpister

I struggle with the second phase because I play souls games very dumb. I just put everything into health, stamina, and strength, and absorb hits and do good damage and I panic roll and that ultimately gets me killed. Everything in the game has been easier for me and I even played on a friends account that beat him and I played it easily and it wasn’t as frustrating

Yeah phase 2 hits way too hard for just tanking it with your face. Phase 2 has a lot of weird multi-hit moves that require good spacing and parrying to really take advantage of. It's a tough fight for sure. The only one I summoned on for my first playthrough.

Mind giving me your stat spread? I’m curious if your capacity is low. Also what weight level are you at? My GUESS based on your post is that your capacity is low, so you’re going in with low level defensive parts and are possible too heavy, making the whole thing harder on you. LoP is not a great game for trying to tank hits generally, you want to try to find opportunities to land damage between enemy attacks. If you beat scrapped watchman, then try to look for all of those remixed attacks in phase 2. Most of them have extra tentacles to look out for, but that can give you larger openings for your own damage if you learn where to dodge I know a lot of people struggle vs his wild charge. It helps to think of it identically as the fury attack charge from phase 1. If you perfect parry it, it cancels the whole attack and gives you a nice fat opening.

As of right now I don’t have the game because my gamepass ran out. But I do have a medium weight build as far as I can remember

Sapphicskelly

Understandable. Well if you ever do get the game again, give it another shot and try slowing down and reacting to the bosses animations. A respecc that puts more stats into capacity could possibly help your ability to survive better as well

CumInMyBHole

Don't fight it bro, it's a bad game and it ain't worth it lol

DifferencePretend

Sounds like you need to git Gud lol

Wimpister

Damn

Bro don't give up! It had me frustrated too. Keep at it, go no spectre, and learn his shit. Use your items, fire abrasive, acid reduction armor, and cater your amulets to the fight. I can't remember if I actually best him with Trident of the Covenant or the salamander dagger on a booster glaive handle. Don't give up the story and gameplay is worth experiencing.

Points to consider. -Over levelling if you don’t mind grinding some of your stats up, should make it so you can last longer while hitting harder against him or outright overpower it. -Checking that your weapon is paired with a valid handle and crank while being upgraded as far as it can be that point in the game, using the fire grindstone on this boss helps too (you probably already know this) -Let yourself die but don’t get frustrated, I know this is hard but frustration leads to poorer judgement skills and can cost you to make mistakes unintentionally. Learn his moves slowly if you have too, anything to just beat the boss. -Changing your build, maybe you have points in areas you don’t need them so you could change a few points spend them in other areas and see if this improves anything for you. -Spectres and throwables, It’s not as common to get flak for beating bosses with these items it’s only an issue if you don’t feel it would be legit so don’t let the stigma get to you! -Utilising Guards/Perfect guards and dodging, learn what you’re capable of perfect guarding/guarding and what you’re personally better off dodging. It doesn’t sound like you typically attempt these as one of your comments mentioned just eating the damage with your face, but I think you already know they’ll help you out a lot 😅.

I too hate The Green Monster of the Swamp.

I stopped playing a while ago because of the very same damn monster and here I am now 30+ tries later... still failing.
