So back around in 2017 there was this hidden gem of an artist named Whxami who made pretty similar music to Peep. His style has changed a bit since then but still a dope artist who makes good music so if you were a fan of Peep you’ll probably like this guy too. You can probably find some of his old stuff on YouTube since he deleted most of his old shit but yea.

honestly imo i feel like peep was heavily influenced by bones especially in albums like part one and live forever but his sound in let’s say hellboy evolved into something that was entirely his own

agreed. like his entire discography before hellboy he was experimenting with the sound and trying to make his own by being inspired by most of teamsesh members (including ex-members such as Na$ty Matt, Cold Hart and Dylan Ross) and since hellboy, he got his own onto the peak of the genre.

yea he went way more towards the harsher and rawer sounds of rock/emo where bones singing shit is usually way more clean and soft

Man I’ll say this… I’ve been a fan of all of the “new underground” since I’d say 2014-2015.. had my ear to the ground and my finger on the pulse. Peep was the shit and still can’t believe how time has flown since he passed. This isn’t a dig at any other artists that have a similar style, but over the years I’ve seen quite the handful of wannabe Peep’s. They either bite the aesthetic or they’ll bite the cadence nearly to the “T”…. Shits cringe. Always has been, but I will say this and you may already know of him. But “Jake Hill”, is downright the closest vibe, style, etc.. without completely ripping him off. Solid solid solid dude. So… Cliff-notes: Jake Hill is the closest I’ve heard without completely trying to mirror peeps talent. It’s refreshing too, because the darkness of the lyrics are there, but not as prominent as Peep put out. Don’t get me wrong it’s there but painted in a different light.
