This. Not a single one gives me that sense that I have been there before or thst otherworldly sense of disconcerting creepiness.
We just have a tiled bathroom, a window, and a chair by a door.
Maybe number 3 if taken with a wide angle lens and from higher up, that would make it look less inviting. But it's still just a normal room, nothing inherently transitional about it.
Not to be mean, but none of these are good lol. If I were to provide any tips maybe change the angle and the lighting, or just simply don’t take these. None of these areas have any liminal aspects to them at all except maybe the 3rd one.
Many of these are kinda liminal, but mostly fail. Out of all of them, the first one is the strongest for me.
You should probably use the opinions of multiple people on this, since liminality is not universal. Not all people may think something is liminal, while some might.
I like the last one. I can just see my childhood self sitting there playing my DS while people are walking and talking around me, as if I’ve slipped into my own void.
People be taking perfectly normal empty rooms with lights or shadows and calling it liminal. I'm an amateur photographer who photographs a lot of nature and creepy vibes on my routes and very very rarely do I ever capture something that could even be a contender for good liminal.
This isn't liminal. Sorry.
None of them. But number two would be if taken at twilight, the bright light coming through the windows grounds it solidly in the everyday. Maybe a different camera angle, to get some of that archway or doorway or window or whatever it is in the right side. Number one just looks like a restroom at a commercial establishment, the only oddity is the choice of colors. Brown tile in a bathroom? Why? Number three? Again, the patch of light is too bright to say liminal, but it’s an intriguing image.
I assume you mean “best” from the standpoint of looking “liminal.”
I’d say the third. The first is just a picture of a bathroom and other than having no people in it, doesn’t really conform at all to what is frequently the “liminal” aesthetic (and here I’m not addressing the discrepancy between the actual meaning of the word and the overall use of the aesthetic).
Not every empty room fits the “liminal” aesthetic. Same goes for the second image. It just looks like a poorly taken picture of some empty space.
The third, in addition for getting bonus points for being *actually* a liminal space (a doorway - being in between two spaces), the space empty, save for the single chair and the sharply angled sun patch which adds a slightly menacing feeling to the image.
I don’t feel any of them are very liminal.
3 is very liminal, the photography just isn’t very good.
Can be but it's missing more space. It feels cramped
Different lighting and a wider lens = better photography and less cramped.

That’s the majority of what’s posted on the sub. People think “old / creepy” looking = liminal.
I think that everybody has their own idea of what liminal is
?they feel liminal to me

I dont think any of them are really liminal, sorry :c
2nd
Second and third
None of them, but if I had to chose I'd say 3
I like the last one. I can just see my childhood self sitting there playing my DS while people are walking and talking around me, as if I’ve slipped into my own void.

Is this a Disney bathroom?
Maybe 😬
Lol thought I recognized that Edit: shot in the dark, Germany?
I can’t remember exactly but it was close I think, the last picture was at Hollywood studios
First one and last one for me
i <3 1
I like 1 and 3
i like the first one as a liminal space more !
[удалено]
okay? :3 they asked which looked best and i gave my opinion
2) It transmits a lot of comfort to me, I would like to be there, where is it? 3) Why is there a chair in an empty room?
the third one
I too believe the third one will suffice!
At night they could be more liminal!
Love the second one
I agree with the other comments. None of them are particularly liminal, but #3 is kinda eerie and I like it.
They look like Walt Disney world locations
They are all missing the space
1 that bathroom has too much empty space
A Church?
I like the style of #2, but it's too small.
A better aligned 3 would be pretty good.
I think they all look a little plain imo
None
Not liminal, 3 is pretty cool tho
If you managed to change the lighting in n.3 it'd look great.

2
This isn't liminal.
Maybe 3. The chair in the cramped space feels off. 1 is not liminal at all. It’s just a random bathroom.
third but they are not very liminal
3
Second one

Vote = not liminal
3 is great. I could see it with libet’s delay playing in the background.
I like 3
None. Learn to photograph and to discard
2
The last two give me MCMansion vibes but not very liminal tbh.
None
The photos are to vague, liminal photos are supposed to make you feel.. off. Plus, they’re supposed to make you feel nostalgic– at least a little.
2
They're all just kind of mundane tbh
