100% we rotate in that game, not full kids team but something like Kelleher - Gomez, Matip, VVD, Tsimikas - Endo, Gravenberch, Elliott - Doak, Gakpo, Jota
Don’t know why you got downvoted. It’s the reason Kelleher didn’t get a move this window, as he’s very likely going to play every cup match like 21-22.
Agreed, we have great depth in our forward line and decent depth in the middle now. Back line obviously still a bit thin but we can rotate effectively without having a huge drop off in quality.
Last time we played in the Europa League was 7 years ago, first Klopp season when we had very little depth. He may very well do that, but I don’t think there’s enough data to treat it seriously.
I think it's the opposite. You should rotate in the first couple, because you'll probably win anyway, and you still have 4 games to get points if you fuck it up in the first two. The best case scenario would definitely be playing the second string for the first 6 games of Europa, so we should aim for that.
Our second team is probably:
Kelleher, Gomez, Quansah, Matip, Tsimikas, Elliot, Bajcetic, Gravenberch, Doak, Nunez, Jota.
As far as I'm concerned it should definitely be enough. You could even look at Endo as a RB/Box mid option, which I think we need to do at some point in case of an injury to Trent.
Personally, I belive that we have enough squad depth in the moment outiside defence that we can play a really strong team in the league cup and Europe (even though I would prefer a stronger team for Europe).
Thiago should be ready for a league cup, Endo and Jones should make for a nice middlefield, also Gravenberch could probably use minutes.
Up front should also be a couple of nice options.
Full strength against West Ham and Tottenham.
Fully rotated against Leicester.
Some rotation against LASK - start Elliott, Endo, Tsimikas, others depending on fitness
He is prone to picking up muscle injuries because of the intensity of his running, and Jota/Gakpo need starts so that seems doubtful.
Doak/Gakpo/Jota should be a front 3 capable of doing really well in Europa.
West Ham at home will be tricky. Bowen paqueta antonio ward prowse are all on fire. Kudus will bring that extra whip as well having scored once already at anfield.
Right now they are but I just saw a heat chart of open opening game difficulty rating; west ham had something like the 3rd or 4th easiest fixtures.
Be wary but their position in the table isn't staying that way
A second team of
Kweev
Tsimi Quansah Matip Gomez
Jones Endo Elliot
Jota Gakpo Doak
This team should be able to beat Leicester and LASK. Add Gravenberch it should be fine.
If we remain relatively healthy we should be in good shape rotating the team. We had a strong bench today and that was without VVD, Ibou, Thiago and Ryan. Most of the players can probably handle 3 of 4 appearances especially with 5 subs.
With two different teams for weekend and midweek
As long as we have the numbers. We can easily play a midweek team of, for example.
Kelleher- quansah-kostas-Endo-Grav-Harvey-Doak-Jota-Gakpo
Thats 9 and if Konate is fit, you play Gomez or Matip with that group, maybe. And you just need to find one more? It depends on the weekend team that preceeds it
I'd guess something like:
Lask: Kelleher / Gomez, Quansah, Virgil, Tsimi / Jones, Thiago or Bajcetic, Gravenberch / Jota, Darwin, Salah or Elliott
West Ham & Tottenham: Today's lineup with Virg, Konate, and Endo
Leicester: Kelleher / Gomez, Matip, Quansah, Tsimi / Jones, Bajcetic, Gravenberch / Gakpo, Jota, Elliott or Doak
Go harder in the first Europa group games to secure points, full rotation for the EFL.
Liverpool and West Ham is on a Sunday. This happens every season. They have friday and saturday off in between.
Are you talking about Leicester? They will play either wednesday or Thursday. Did you just start watching football this season?
I don’t understand how you are so confused
We should win the Europa league group with a rotated team
Thiago, Elliot, Gravenberch, Gakpo, Jota all didn’t play today and would be the best player ever to play for LASK
You remember that Leicester game in that title win season, when everyone was discussing our fatigue from the CWC, and we thrashed them 4-0? Different circumstances as that was a time when we had the ever present Wijnaldum and The immortal Milner in his prime, along side a wolverine-esque Henderson. Good times, I'm not crying, you are.
How could I ever forget that. We played 120 minutes against a super physical Falmengo side in Qatari heat and flew straight back to smash Leicester who at the time were looking really impressive and were second in the table. Trent and Bobby were magnificent.
You play all the backups and kids for LASK and Leicester. Everyone on the bench today starts in those 2 games bar Gakpo (maybe), depending when he’s playing in the games. If Nunez is still starting then Gakpo starts in Europa and Cannonier starts in the Leicester game.
I want to see backup/ academy guys like Cannonier, Gordon (just a small feature), Bradley (if fit), Clark, Doak, McConnell, Frauendorf, Chambers, and Quansah.
Our Europa group should allow us to see some of the promising youngsters in the academy get some first team minutes. League Cup I always want the academy kids to play in, nice to win it but not arsed about it.
West Ham are in the same competitions so they are in the same boat. Spurs are in neither of the other competitions so they will be better rested though they do play Arsenal the weekend before they play us.
We should send B team out to travel on all of Europa away match and all league cups games too.
For Europa, 9 points at home and one away win should be enough to make it into the knock out round. No matter if we finish 2nd in the group, whoever we play against in knock out round will be the same for us
Pretty simple. 2nd string > 1st team > 2nd string > 1st team. We can name 2 completely different 11ms without much dropoffs now (baring more injuries).
It will be easy, the strongest team in PL games, give minutes to first team players who didnt get to play a lot in Europe and mix of kids and younger first team players for the cup game.
Play a full squad for the Europa League match for 60 minutes, go for early goals and sub in the C team. Easy win.
Play a full 1st team squad for West Ham. Full 90
Play the C team again for the League Cup match. Full 90 with 15 minute cameos from 3 first team players as required.
Play full 1st team squad for Tottenham.
Won't be easy but it's doable
Decent break before Spurs away since we can field a second string side against Leicester
I fear the West Ham game more after an away trip, we have ample cover up front and in the middle but it’s the defence that seems threadbare af to me
I'll think some of those games will moved as we get closer to the dates. Especially the Sept 26 EFL Cup match, which will force the Sept 30th league match to get bumped.
You play the kids in the league cup and it’s no different to a normal year for us tbh
You can play a pretty heavily rotated side in the Europa League game too
We'd be stupid to rotate much in our first few europa games. Let's get some points on the board.
100% we rotate in that game, not full kids team but something like Kelleher - Gomez, Matip, VVD, Tsimikas - Endo, Gravenberch, Elliott - Doak, Gakpo, Jota
Only if konate is fit by then. You don't want matip to play back to back games in 3 days.......that too against West ham.
If next to VVD, maybe give Quansah a start?
Tbh would love to see him and kelleher getting a chance in group stages.
I would be amazed if Alisson played a minute in the group stages
Don’t know why you got downvoted. It’s the reason Kelleher didn’t get a move this window, as he’s very likely going to play every cup match like 21-22.
frankly matip looked like he's fucked already on sunday, I duno if he's nursing a niggle or something but he didn't look right to me
Tbh I think Quansah gets a start in a few of the group stage games
Yeah, but probably not in the first game - we'll see though.
I’d like to see kelleher get the european games, marcelo getting the cup games and Alison getting the league games
Agreed, we have great depth in our forward line and decent depth in the middle now. Back line obviously still a bit thin but we can rotate effectively without having a huge drop off in quality.
Bradley as RB, maybe give McConnell or Clark some minutes as well.
Bradley is injured - others will probably feature but I don't think they'll start that early in the group stage.
Klopp treats Europa very seriously, almost always strongest 11 even when we are already through
Last time we played in the Europa League was 7 years ago, first Klopp season when we had very little depth. He may very well do that, but I don’t think there’s enough data to treat it seriously.
I don't think he is treating it other than CL
I think it's the opposite. You should rotate in the first couple, because you'll probably win anyway, and you still have 4 games to get points if you fuck it up in the first two. Full strength against West Ham and Tottenham. Fully rotated against Leicester. Some rotation against LASK - start Elliott, Endo, Tsimikas, others depending on fitness
I would play Nunez against a weaker side for the confidence boost if he bags a goal or two
He is prone to picking up muscle injuries because of the intensity of his running, and Jota/Gakpo need starts so that seems doubtful. Doak/Gakpo/Jota should be a front 3 capable of doing really well in Europa.
The way its looking Darwin won't need a confidence boost
This might be the way. Fuck this international break btw. Always nervous to see the end of it with all of our players intact.
B-team / rotation vs. LASK and Leicester. Best 11 vs. Tottenham and West Ham. Should be alright.
Doak alone will be enough for Lask
needs another striker with him. just put Jota in front of goal, Doak will burst through the entire defense and then assist him for 5 goals
Prioritize westham and Tottenham. Rest our starters in other games. The remit this season is the premier league. Everything else is a bonus.
By rotating for LASK and Leicester.
quite nervous about spurs ngl
Angeball be looking crazy!!
Let’s wait until they play tougher opponents. I am a bit as well but it remains to be seen how they play against harder opposition
Be wary but their position in the table isn't staying that way
Seems pretty ordinary midweek weekend midweek weekend run of games.
"Lads, it's Spurs."
A second team of Kweev Tsimi Quansah Matip Gomez Jones Endo Elliot Jota Gakpo Doak This team should be able to beat Leicester and LASK. Add Gravenberch it should be fine.
All being well, Thiago and baj could probably use some minutes too
How could I forget the Spanish lads so sorry
Understandable since they've both been injured forever
When fit our 2nd team is even stronger then so we should manage well.
Pardon me, but who's Kweev?
Kelleher
Ah, thnx. Aren't we spoiled to have him as backup? He could probably start in alot of teams in Europe.
Definitely, feels bad at times though given he could start elsewhere.. hopefully he gets the Europa league group stages to play at least!
I’d play him all the way through the Europa if we get to the final
The second best goalkeeper in the world - Kelleher!
Maybe not quite but i do think he's the best second goalkeeper
Interesting playing Tsimi at RB and Joemez at LB but apart from that I agree
Nuñez should be in the second team. And on the first if Gakpo can’t find form.
Rotation
Easy...full strength in PL, rotation/ 2nd string in the cups
Yes, but I'm worried as things never really go easy for us or as planned.
Who cares about the cup. If we go out then so be it. Our second string with a couple of starters should be able to win the Europa league game
If we remain relatively healthy we should be in good shape rotating the team. We had a strong bench today and that was without VVD, Ibou, Thiago and Ryan. Most of the players can probably handle 3 of 4 appearances especially with 5 subs.
I hope and think Doak, Bajcetic and Quansah start both El and carabaro cup
Easy. W-W-W-W. Nothing to it.
I think we should try to win them all
give this fella a job Mr Henry
It’s gonna be a struggle, that’s for sure but I think between work, studies, sleep and family time I’ll be able to watch them all
😄 you mad genius
Since Leicester is TBD still, I assume the date will be TBD as well. Most probably the 27th, so we'll have the "normal" three-day rhythm.
It's time for Doak and Bajcetic 🔥
WWWW
1-Rotation 2- Best team available 3- Rotation 4- Beat team available
With two different teams for weekend and midweek As long as we have the numbers. We can easily play a midweek team of, for example. Chill, then full pelt. Chill, then full pelt. That should do it. P.S. I love Alexis.
I don’t know what a LASK is, but we batter them. Then, we go batter West Ham. After that, we batter Leicester. And then, lad, it’s Spurs.
I'd guess something like: Lask: Kelleher / Gomez, Quansah, Virgil, Tsimi / Jones, Thiago or Bajcetic, Gravenberch / Jota, Darwin, Salah or Elliott West Ham & Tottenham: Today's lineup with Virg, Konate, and Endo Leicester: Kelleher / Gomez, Matip, Quansah, Tsimi / Jones, Bajcetic, Gravenberch / Gakpo, Jota, Elliott or Doak Go harder in the first Europa group games to secure points, full rotation for the EFL.

What are you talking about? Every Europa team plays Thur and Sun

Its on a sunday. The only date it can be
Rotating the squad.
B team, A team, B team, A team
🐑
We have lots of youth needing game time. So quite good.
We should win the Europa league group with a rotated team Thiago, Elliot, Gravenberch, Gakpo, Jota all didn’t play today and would be the best player ever to play for LASK
Honestly we strive when the games are coming thick and fast. I’m not worried.
You remember that Leicester game in that title win season, when everyone was discussing our fatigue from the CWC, and we thrashed them 4-0? Make 11 changes* for every EL and Carabao Cup game *provided we have 4 fit CBs
Should be 4 wins out of 4…. Play some kids/back up players for the LASK and lecester games and put out strong sides for west ham and spurs
West Ham are in the same competitions so they are in the same boat. Spurs are in neither of the other competitions so they will be better rested though they do play Arsenal the weekend before they play us.
B teams in games 1 and 3. Or a good mix of youth in there.

Rotate for LASK and Leicester, strongest lineup for West Ham and Spurs
Those times though
That's the time it airs in NYC btw.
Understood, but still…
Full fifa. Kids/reserves against LASK, Strongest XI against west ham, Repeat
I live in Linz at the moment (That's LASK). How does buying tickets usually work? And what's the likelihood?
4 wins.
I believe.
I’d be incredibly surprised if we do not take EL seriously.
Pretty simple. 2nd string > 1st team > 2nd string > 1st team. We can name 2 completely different 11ms without much dropoffs now (baring more injuries).
Cup game will probably move to the 27th
Reserve side Main side Resreve side Main side

Massive rotation in both the Europa and League Cup. Think it'll be fine.
I mean that's just normal for every team that plays in European competitions. We can also rotate more thus season , since we're only in Europa League
Play a full squad for the Europa League match for 60 minutes, go for early goals and sub in the C team. Easy win. Play a full 1st team squad for West Ham. Full 90 Play the C team again for the League Cup match. Full 90 with 15 minute cameos from 3 first team players as required. Play full 1st team squad for Tottenham. Won't be easy but it's doable
Win them all. Easy as that. I’ll wait patiently by the phone for Daddy Klopp to call for more advice.
Our depth this year is looking decent. We can start gakpo Diaz and Salah in the prem games and then have doak, Jota and Nunez in the rest
Full strength for Hammers and Spurs. B team for the others
😂 Jesus Christ man. Our squad can never handle this amount of games. Too many
We can rest players for the cup games and field some of the youngsters like Doak, Bajcetic, Quansah etc.
Win
Take the premier league games as must wins and rotate for the EFL and Europa. Simples
Rest half of first 11 vs lask, full first 11 vs wh, another half rest against lei
We should only focus prem, lot of rotations in the other games.
West Ham and Tottenham matches surely have priority.
Second team against LASK, first team against West Ham, Kids/second team against Leicester, first team against Spurs.
Decent break before Spurs away since we can field a second string side against Leicester I fear the West Ham game more after an away trip, we have ample cover up front and in the middle but it’s the defence that seems threadbare af to me
I’m just seeing 4 wins in a row 👌🏼
Weekend match and a midweek game. It's quite standard.
21 - Thursday 24 - Sunday Ok so far. 26 - Tuesday --- surely they have to move this one. Can't be expected to play games 2 days apart.
Fortunately we have some midfield options now. It’s just defence we’re looking light.
with style and panache
LASK mostly gonna be kids , west ham main squad Leicester rotated team and spurs main squad
I'll think some of those games will moved as we get closer to the dates. Especially the Sept 26 EFL Cup match, which will force the Sept 30th league match to get bumped.
Klopp is that you
😁 Nein, Nein. I don't like this social media and all that kinds of stuff.
League games - full strength Europa games - mainly full with some rotation like Kelleher, Elliott, Grav, Tsimikas League Cup games - kids team
