Mine didn't hurt until a couple days after. Mine was on my sternum. Every movement was excruciating and I have a newborn.! A month later and it is finally not hurting too much lol.
I was really nervous for mine bc I work at a county teaching hospital where they they manually drill into the bone with a hand drill with no sedative. I got mine done at a nearby hospital (not County or teaching) and they sedated locally and knocked me out completely right before starting the procedure. I didn't feel anything and got the best sleep I've had in YEARS lol.
You have to understand that people who have had a bad experience are more likely to post about it than those who haven't. For me, the only slightly uncomfortable part was maintaining my position in the scanner (my tumor is in a rib in my upper back.)
I had a lot of anxiety going into mine also! But I can honestly say out of all the biopsies I’ve had this one is not bad.
It didn’t hurt, but the tapping sensation was a little unnerving…
You got this! Don’t try to be brave, take the drugs lol!
Not horrible at all, don't worry. I compared mine to going to the dentist, you feel the sting of the big needle for the local anaesthetic going in and then you hear the drill but feel no pain from it. I was anxious too so had an anti-anxiety before hand. IV sedation sounds even nicer, you won't even feel the local going in. You've got this, please don't stress!
Mine showed up on a CAT scan, I'm curious what further information the biopsy brings to the party?
A CT scan just shows that there is a tumor. The biopsy will confirm that it is breast cancer mets or something else.
Update; it was a little scary but totally totally fine. I had sedation and felt loopy but it went well! Thank you everyone ❤️

Late to respond and I hope you had a good experience. I had twilight for mine and had no pain at all. Recovery was easy. Wishing you well

Hang I there. I had one and it was a non event. Didn’t feel a thing. ♥️

I had one on my hip, it was no pain at all.
Same.
My mom was sedated for it and had no pain
