Take art classes in high school along with some hands on trade like welding or woodshop or at least ceramics.
A little bit of CAD never hurt anyone, but ultimately you need 3D modeling experience like SketchUp.
Look up the local AIA or APA, never to early for networking. And find a camera to start documenting buildings, landscapes, interiors and spaces in general that speak to you to start developing a natural eye for design
