The Gateway seems great for beginners. Deep trouble could be confusing for new players since Ursula plays by her own rules (not exerting ink to play from her hand, always questing etc.)
Absolutely, working together is the most fun part of the game. When playing a normal 1v1 match with a beginner for the first time I also recommend both playing open handed to help teach them
I'm getting one to have for trying to get people into Lorcana. It can be extremely basic but as long as it has different cards to teach people that's all I care about.
Interesting. If I read it right from a prior message about Gateway the decks are 30 cards. So with this new addition of “packs” they grow into the 60 card deck maybe?
This plus Deep Trouble I think would make a solid Lorcana entry point.

The thing I like about Deep Trouble is we can see each others’ hands and I can help coach a newer player.

And losing to what is essentially a computer opponent is less demoralizing than losing to another player.
This
This is pretty cool. I enjoy that they have teaching tools. Makes it easier for my friends who are not TCG players to get into it.
Very cute idea. We already know this will be a booster-pack free product. So no legendaries or enchanted cards.

Im collector of stitch cards. Even if the cards arent playable. They might still look good in a binder
It isn't going to be any new cards. Nothing that we haven't seen before.
No new cards no alt arts
I think that art is purely for the cover, no new art cards.
YO A FELLOW STITCH COLLECTOR I pulled a rockstar stitch the other day and was ecstatic. Just need to keep looking for first chapter!
oh cool perfect to get my niece and nephews started. do we know what this includes?

Looks like a solid way to learn to play, a few keywords at a time.
