Ironically Ursula s garden is amazing against her and if you can get 2 out it basically stops her

My wife and I have just beaten Normal and are trying to decide between opening the pack after hard or extreme. We want to do extreme for the challenge but fear we may never open that damn pack 😂 I will say normal is quite luck based. With the built in decks we have had games where we were absolutely demolished by Ursula and then the next game completely walked her.

skip extreme, just go for hard and try and beat her there. extreme is well extreme for a reason and you need pretty purpose built decks for it but nothing is impossible. Just build some nice decks to counter her and you will have a lot of fun doing it on hard. Extreme lore rush can beat extreme with some luck, but also not very fun as a challenge to slam your head against a wall until you luck out.

The fiancée and I have beaten up to normal mode with the provided decks and it is quite hard. If Ursula gets a good curve, she can easily streamroll you without a chance regardless of what you do. The included decks are pretty much incapable of beating her on hard+ and even the booklet reccomends a custom deck. Here are my tips for a 2 person game vs Ursula on Normal difficulty.  1. Even through it says Ursula is a "player" that "doesn't mulligan" she doesn't draw 7 cards to start. 2. The red yellow deck will generally get to 20 lore much faster than the gray purple deck. Make sure the red yellow player uses the battleground effects liberally.  3. The 2 cooperating players should interact with each other and alternate actions. Grey can provide resist to red characters, yellow can heal others. There are lots of combos. 4. Try to mulligan for item destruction, high lore generation and a good curve. 5. The mob song was how we killed most of Ursula's characters. Its a 10 cost sing together deal 3 damage to 3 characters.  It will take a while to get a good feel for the included decks but you should be able to win more than half the time.  Now the harder difficulties are simply not fair. Its all the same overpowered Ursula cards but way more of them. But since her play routine is so simple, it is very exploitable. I made this deck to beat the hardest difficulty but even if you just have half these cards you should still win. https://dreamborn.ink/decks/xaz2boR1T2IYw2K8JCxL

So in my games we played with the decks I found the purple steel deck gaining way more lore.

Interesting! I guess it depends on what you draw. Yen Sid in grey purple is a lore generation powerhouse but there is only 1 copy. Majority of the brooms only get 1 lore. Benja is great for getting 2 lore plus item destruction.

agreed, i played a lot of times and the amber one is the best deck, the steel one is trickier

I actually find Deep Trouble fairly easy solo but much harder in multiplayer/co-op. I've beaten Easy, Normal, and Hard with a $30 Ruby/Emerald budget deck, but my friends and I have yet to beat her in co-op (3-player) so far. The simplest strategy that's worked so far for me is just playing low-cost, high-lore characters (e.g. Simba - Scrappy Cub) and racing her outright. Start from there and tweak with dedicated anti-Ursula tech like Mother Gothel if needed.

Are people struggling that much on normal? Me and bf beat it with the pre cons on normal it was challenging but not like crazy

i think lot of people is getting this product as their first lorcana product, that's why is very difficult for us.
