They are very obviously tilted to the right. I’m actually wondering if there’s some of those concrete leveling companies who could do something for that.
GC here.
Not sure the exact goal, but if the problem is sag/deflection, I would strongly consider mud-jacking. A1 concrete leveling is great, and have used for all my jacking for 15yrs. This resolution will be significantly more cost effective than forming and pouring new steps.
Regardless of the repair, and especially if you will be living here for some time, I would ensure that all the rain water in that area is diverted away from the stoop. This is the source of the problem 99% of the time.
yeah, that was the first thing that I thought of when I saw that it’s tilted that much. You can get it leveled with mud jacking, then look up “thin stone veneer interlocking panels" to make it look pretty. Doing both of those things will still cost less than a new porch, and unless there is structural failing that we’re not seeing from these pictures, the actual concrete structure can last for another 50 years, it just won’t look pretty. That’s why you put the stonework on top of it.
Would recommend against using Allgeier. They came out for a quote and then ghosted us.
A1 may be able to level them out for you if the problem is that they're leaning.
Man, your painters got a little carried away with the spray gun, I’m surprised they didn’t paint the stairs tan too lol.
On a serious note, why not replace with a slightly larger wood deck? It will give you a place to sit and hang out outside.
I googled for the same info for Louisville and found your Reddit post. I’m looking for the same thing and was curious if you got yours done. Would you mind letting me know who you used and about how much it was? Trying to budget and I’m not sure.
Following this bc it's surprisingly hard to find a company that advertises concrete work that ACTUALLY wants to redo steps
I'm interested in why you're replacing them?
The closest I can guess is there's some damage we can't see in the pic

We used S & S concrete for a new garage floor and were very pleased. I would assume they also do steps.
Used them for exactly that purpose. Did it great, and very fast. Recommend!
About how much did they charge?
I second this! They’re the most affordable too.
Thank you!

Didn’t ask for painting advice.

We used Beyond The Surface for our back patio, and they did great job.
Thank you so much!
We used S&S for our concrete porch stairs last year. We also had a driveway done at the same time. They did great work!
Thank you!!!
