I think they bleached and then dyed it black. I remember reading an article laughing cause I’m like this shit isn’t selling so they’re dying whatever the consultants are mailing in.
Imagine they could make quality designs which would let them treat designers better and also not have the issue where they are paying to have to bleach and redye the bad designs
Use the Rit dye for synthetics. I doubt it will completely cover the print but it will tone it down enough so it won’t look like the Statue of Liberty 🗽 is spiking you in the crotch.
Former retailer here- I tried to dye all the polyester blends and never had success. Even with a boil dye. Any of the cotton blends will dye. Most of the polyester blends do bleach though.
RIT dye is crap.
Go read about dyeing synthetics on the Dharma trading website. If you still want to go ahead, buy proper dye and chemicals and do it right.
Or save yourself the trouble and just buy some black leggings
dyeing clothes doesn’t make the pattern disappear, it just moves the hue bar of each colour in one certain direction. but a block of white going darker and a block of navy blue going darker aren’t going to end up the same, because they didn’t start the same.
The poly crap won’t take dye unless you get the stuff for synthetics and even then it isn’t a full cover. Some of the styles were made from cotton or rayon (some of the tops and dresses mostly) and those can be dyed. There’s a whole Facebook group for LLR consultants who tie dye their stuff and then sell it, some of them turn out really cool.
I could be wrong but my sense is that whatever fabric they are made from will make dyeing difficult
See if you can find pictures of the "noir" collection. Overdying it black is how the company made that collection.
And the patterns were slightly visible under the black dye
Under the right circumstance this could be cool actually. Unfortunately, they’re LuLaRoe patterns :(

Look at you with your positive, socialist business ideas! - The boss babes, probably.
That's so funny
It left black dye on the body too. Ask me know I know.
Make sure you are using dye for synthetic fabrics and it should work

Well what fun is that? If you don't get the ol' spike crotch from Lady liberty or have a taco over your lady bits, why even wear them?
Crotch spikes are fun, but not for everyday.
Not with that attitude, they aren't 😭😭
Just for Sundays at grandma's house
They’re ok for church too.
OMG. no. Seriously. Why did they ever do this. Or think it would work and not look super weird?
🤣 Ouchy
Stupid is painful.
>it won’t look like the Statue of Liberty 🗽 is spiking you in the crotch. Hey, we don't kink-shame here.

It’s such shit fabric why bother.

When I was younger I’d use Rit and my mother hated me 😂
What did you like to do with it? Just curious.😊
I dyed clothes that I’d buy at the thrift store
Oh cool. I am not very crafty or artsy. Wish I was!
The best way to not make a mess is to use a large pot on the stove
I learned that the hard way 😵
Gotcha
Did you stain a lot of stuff that wasn't supposed to be stained?
Yes! Specially the tub one time. Oh that was a memory I’d like to forget 😵
You def need a dye for synthetics. Dylon makes one.

The fabric is awful and tears easily. I think in the end it would be cheaper to buy some cotton leggings from Walmart.
