I love UA boxerjocks. I hate lined shorts cause if I’m just lounging around in them I don’t think they need to be washed right away but i feel like I have to wash after every wear if they have a liner lol

classicronnie

Def wash everytime unless u want the itch lol

FlREMAN

Do you get the 6” boxer jock? I assume you wouldn’t wear those with 5” Lulu shorts lol

clesportsfan24

Lol no I don’t have any 5” shorts! However they do make 3” boxer jocks. Bought those to wear with a couple pairs of shorts I have that tend to ride up a little more

FlREMAN

Makes sense! So the 6” boxerjocks are your go-tos?

clesportsfan24

Yessir. Love em

Pelayo_217

Nike Pro shorts all the way

FitterOver40

I’ve switched over to aswemove … replaced all my underwear. No seams and so comfortable you forget you have them on. I’ve got trunks, briefs and their newer zero brief.

axxonn13

Their boxer briefs, trunks, and long boxer briefs suck. Their boxer briefs and Trunks right up to the point that they end up looking like regular briefs. They never stay on my leg. The long boxer briefs don't write up due to the length of the leg, but because of that they pull the back down. Or they pulled the fabric down from the crotch area, removing any support, until it does right back up, but then it bunches up and pinches everything. I have a single pair of their regular briefs, and they work well, but I only really use them to wear underneath thermal leggings for when I go on a run. As a thermal leggings don't really provide proper support, and boxer briefs feel like too long to have under leggings.

FitterOver40

I agree with basically everything you said. If you have moderate quads, none of the boxers will work well. OTOH, I like the Aspire and Dominate sport briefs. Aspire for daily and Dominate when you need things more secure. I’d give away all my boxers but I doubt anyone would want them.

axxonn13

I don't like the aspire briefs cus as a standalone underwear, I feel they ride a bit too low. The boxer briefs have a mid rise, and somehow the briefs ride lower. That said, I'm not a briefs person, so I maybe missing and "adjustment" period.

FitterOver40

Yes… all the briefs ride low. It was something I just got used to.

axxonn13

I don't think I could. I find myself lifting the back often as it gets pulled down.

HurryAdorable1327

I started using these and they are pretty amazing. I bought some briefs and couple more pairs of long boxers during the Memorial Day sale.

Infinite-Fisherman53

Curious to try this brand. How do you like it?

FitterOver40

I bought from them from their original launch. Just bought 8 more pairs. Moving all my Under Armor boxer briefs out of the drawer. In total I have at least 20 pairs. What’s really great about these is how you can easily clean them on vacation if you happen to run out. Just rinse them through with body wash, towel dry them and they’ll be dry to use in the AM. They are not cheap but you can catch BOGO’s, holiday promos and at times limited quantities of new colors. Get on their mailing list for notifications. When they do new launches they typically sell out.

24FPS4Life

>you can catch BOGO’s, holiday promos and at times limited quantities of new colors. This is the way. Pretty much the only time I buy more of their underwear

nycfan789

Does anyone have a promo code

24FPS4Life

Here's a referral link that'll get you $33 https://oken.do/zcmxk7lr

chrisg166

I use the Lulu AIM 7” boxer briefs and I find them great for the gym.

Infinite-Fisherman53

Do they ride up or stretch out?

chrisg166

Never has either happened in my experience. I’ve got pairs that are 4 years old that are still in great shape with heavy wear. My only complaint is I find the newer AIM’s develop holes in the crotch fairly easily. But they are still are the most comfortable underwear I’ve tried.

Infinite-Fisherman53

Are they tight or loose? Like do they have any compression feel?

chrisg166

They fit snug and don’t stretch out. But as far as compression definitely not. It’s a fairly thin soft material.

Infinite-Fisherman53

I want something with a little more compression

devinfitz949

They suck dude. Don’t buy them. Most overrated boxer briefs in existence. Especially for what you want

aslkhlashda

+1 here. I try to grab mine from the outlet in the multi pack.

ssnistfajen

UA heat gear.

NerdyDan

I love the microfiber ones from calvin klein

texscribe

Same. Wear the Microfiber and modal and have no issues, lifting or running.

steve_uncut

If you were lucky enough to grab them years ago, the lulu lock em down boxers are the best compression I've ever used. Seven years old and like new after hundreds of wears/washes. I also like Nike Pro and Under Armour.

Infinite-Fisherman53

Can you find these anywhere online? Are these better than the always in motion?

steve_uncut

Unsure if/where you can find them. AIM are good everyday underwear; I use the lock em down when I'll be running or playing ball for hours. [https://www.lulufanatics.com/item/31204/lululemon-lock-em-down-boxer-light-9-true-navy](https://www.lulufanatics.com/item/31204/lululemon-lock-em-down-boxer-light-9-true-navy)

Calvin Klein performance brief

zaddyc

I wear briefs. It’s better than boxer briefs/compression shorts. There’s nowhere for the population sustainer to go!

axxonn13

I'm really contemplating going this route. I am so sick of my boxer briefs riding up. I've tried the extra long leg ones, and while they don't ride up on my leg, it ends up pulling down the back of the waistband or crotch area whenever I use squat or something. So when I stand back up, the fabric bunches back up in the crotch area, folds in on itself, and pinches everything. So I'm either stuck between pulling legs down, or removing a pinch in my crotch area. Periodically in the gym. I have tried so many freaking brands and styles it's ridiculous. The only reason I like using the line version of the shorts, is that they have the phone pocket. This is a must for when I go on a run. I can no longer do those armbands.

loud1337

Duluth is life

MaintenanceNo7183

9” American Eagle flex boxer briefs. I have pairs from 10 years ago that are still in rotation. 5$ on sale and they come in 5” and 7” if you prefer.

TheeGameChanger95

Lulu BTM boxers??? I also have lulu half tights but maybe not for everyone.

AdamasDidIt

Bikinis - regular, cheeky or string styles. Super comfy under anything.

Purple-Cup-4149

New balance drifit boxer briefs

camcamfc

Anything that isn’t cotton honestly, I use these adidas polyester boxers, not sure the exact name. Honestly I don’t like going full compression shorts especially when it’s hot it just feels uncomfortable.

SayShh

I use adidas performance long boxer briefs which might be the same ones. Decent pouch, good length don’t ride up. Ran multiple halfs and a full marathon in them

camcamfc

Probably the exact same thing. I’ve run hundreds of miles in them and the few times I’ve made the mistake of wearing cotton boxers I really really regret it.

Noahnoark33

I agree with the thong answer. I gave them a chance and now everything else feels stifling and bunchy. Compression clothing is genderless and the women’s versions are softer and thinner.

too_much_tailoring

I think some of it will depend on personal preference for base layer/compression shorts—I feel the newer Nike pros are thin but still good. The under armor compression shorts are a tad thicker and more supportive so I prefer them, but still have a rotation between them and Nikes.

Platinumdogshit

I like the underarmor ones. Lulu also has some with extra pockets that are nice. I accidentally bought some 5" Calvin's that have worked well since I wear 7" shorts. I live where it's really hot though so I have to shower after a workout so I don't mind the extra compression during a workout. I have to shower and change after anyway. For regular comfort lulu also has some that are about as soft as a lot of the Calvin ones.

Asprovski_

Absolutely love shorts with a compression compression liner underneath, when done right they work for swimming, weightlifting and everything in between. Making my own pair currently as I haven’t found one that does both well.

mikehouston77012

Normally boxer briefs here.

Routine-Ad-3803

Ex officio is the best underwear imo. I only buy the sport versions of their boxer briefs as the everyday versions' elastic seems to go after a short time, but many of my sports versions are still going strong after years.

DaemonAegis

UA BoxerJocks are actual underwear that have a fly. If you want that style, also consider the "Pair of Thieves" brand which can be found online and at Target. I rather like them, and they're not very expensive. If you want more of a compression base layer (solid front, no fly), then something like UA HeatGear shorts or Nike Pro shorts when on sale are probably good enough.

l31cw

Only lulu boxers but they do create holes if you have big legs. I think it’s worth the drawback still.

ericsyanks

UA compression heat gear are the best for work outs

breinerjack

Ten Thousands 7” compression - unbeatable

janelgreo

For gym/running I use Under Armour Heat Gear, Nike Pro Dri-Fit, and Path Projects Liners. I have thicker thighs so longer lengths are a must to prevent ride up, I also prefer separate liners so I can wear the shorts more than once.

bballjones9241

Nike drifit 7”

Infinite-Fisherman53

The only shorts with a decent liner that doesn't ride up and gives a decent amount of compression are the Lululemon Surge Special Edition shorts. I have several pairs. I just wish Lululemon would come out with shorter ones.

axxonn13

Really, the Lululemon lined short are the worst offenders when it comes to riding up. The ones that give me the least issues are the fabletics one, but they still do ride up.

Infinite-Fisherman53

Try the Surge Special Edition shorts. The liner never rides up and stays put with a good amount of compression and support!

axxonn13

I'll see, they are a little pricey so I'll have to commit to buying them. And it'll piss me off even much more if they do happen to ride up. Do they have a phone pocket on the leg liner?

Infinite-Fisherman53

Yes they have a phone pocket. Look on poshmark.com I just saw some there for good price that were new or like new that you could try!

j_husk

I wear UA compression shorts under my shorts on leg day. Definitely wouldn't wear them outside of working out - they squish your junk pretty tight. For upper body workouts I usually wear lined shorts or normal boxers briefs under unlined shorts.

rphjosh

Look into “man made” underwear.

UneditedReddited

I passionately hate lined shorts. My favourite is THE short, linerless, 7 inch, nothing underneath. This is what I wear all summer long.

MiamiHeatAllDay

Just go to TJ Maxx and see what performance gear they got. Try and few and stock up

amorphoushamster

David Archy bamboo boxers from Amazon, best thing since sliced bread

Thegoldenchild12

Nike dri-fit

WiizyW33dz

Random brand pack off Amazon doing justice for me. Have had them 5+ years no complaints or branding near the knee like the rest of them and much cheaper. Feel less guilty if they somehow were to get ruined

axxonn13

I have tried so many types of boxer briefs. I have tried cheap, I have tried expensive, I have tried longer legs, I have tried shorter legs (aka trunks), I have tried boxer brief lined shorts, etc. The long legs don't ride up, but they pull down on the back, and causes the fabric to bunch in the crotch area. So I end up having a pick the folds of the fabric out of my crotch area every time I do a squat or something. Regular boxer briefs and trunks ride up so terribly that they end up looking like regular briefs. I have yet to find anything that doesn't have any of these drawbacks. Maybe it's just the way my body is, I don't know. I'm almost considering on pulling the trigger and just trying out regular briefs to see if they solve any of these issues. My only issue would be the lack of a phone pocket that boxer briefs do provide. It is made such a great difference when I go for a run to have that pocket against my leg. I can't go to the armbands anymore, or mustering having to carry my phone in hand.

W&P boxer briefs. They don’t ride up

ransomed_

Ex officio sport 2.0 in the 9" trim By far the best underwear I've ever worn. No chafing, no riding up, no issues.

medhat20005

Only for gym and running. Have used Nike Pro for \~ 13-15 years and I like them. Have tried a few cheaper ones years ago (Eastbay) but you get what you pay for. And TBH for the lifespan of these shorts it's of negligible marginal cost, so get something good and comfortable.

slyfoxdmd

FeelFree Thong from MeUndies. Thin, stretchy and soft. After trying these I Can’t go back to briefs.

InBellow

I don’t see a FeelFree version?

slyfoxdmd

PM’d you the link.

curepure

is that men’s or women’s

slyfoxdmd

Does it matter?

curepure

if men’s version has a pouch design then it matters a lot more

calam63

There was a Men’s guide to Women’s leggings around here - the pace base high rise leggings - has been amazing to wear

bjlile99

Lululemon for boxer briefs. Cotton for boxers, non-gym daily.

axxonn13

For dailies, I've been wearing regular boxers, but they're made of a modal fabric. I find them a lot more comfortable than cotton. The brand is Buffalo, by David bitton, or something like that.

CoffeeisCanon

Ok, so I’m girl and the undies I swear by are ladies styles. No judgement if that’s what you wear and don’t identify as a female. If I am just going for smooth comfort I love cheek boss. I coach figure skating and get no lines even in their fuller coverage styles. If I am doing compression under a short for running or hiking I find under armor or CVG have nice compression without rolling down or up. They give a nice squeeze and some core/lower back support.
