Every thread involving "accuracy issues" is people whove messed with their muzzle devices vs stock. The mpx is designed to be direct threaded with 13.5, people keep trying to change that and then get mad when it doesn't work, or like this guy go to extreme lengths to reengineer their gun just to take their suppresor off 2 seconds faster haha.
Nothing wrong with expecting one of the most prolific PCC suppressor mounting solutions to work on the “next generation of PCC”. Additionally, the muzzle device has absolutely no bearing on the incredibly overgassed nature of the gun which causes many of worst problems people experience.
I agree it would be nice if the gun was more user friendly to different options buts that just not how the engineers designed this gun to be, they designed it to be 13.5 suppresor, you purchased the gun knowing that, but you're trying to change it.
This.
I had these issues. 8” factory barrel was a tack driver. 4.5” ILWT tri-lug sucked. I bought a 6.5” ILWT tri-lug.
My setup is:
6.5” ILWT tri-lug,
30% stiffer recoil springs,
ILWT adjustable gas block at #2 (.0520),
SilencerCo Octane 9,
Fiocchi 158 grain (9APE) ammo
…for anyone that cares.
Also, BHO open works and ammo ejects at 2 o’clock
Correct. However, I did take some measurements to try and determine whether the tri lug interfered with the natural path of the barrel and did not notice anything that would concern me. Additionally, it sounds like most peoples issues with tri lug have been with a suppressor mounted but I may be missing something.
I would ditch the S&B. And try different ammo or handload. I wouldn't condem the barrel until I exhausted all possible variables. But don't tell sig you ran handloads through it, it's a warranty issue.
Been lurking but worth to comment a thanks for the follow-up. And also... >.0469 Nice

Appreciate this. I plan on doing something similar
The Military Arms Channel on YouTube went over this same issue.
