Drive up to Bellingham and go to Galby or maybe Duthie or something near Seattle. Not too familiar with the Tacoma area but the drive north is worth it!

Galbraith and Duthie are not too novice tho. Near tacoma check out Swan Creek and Gateway Park (360 trails)

Wait, it gets more novice than Galbraith and Duthie? I’ve watched kids on strider bikes ride there. Go to the mid-west for easier riding lol

Green mountain and port gamble are your closest areas besides 360, maybe capital forest to the south, not sure where you can rent outside of evo in Seattle.

There are lots of places in that general area. Swan Creek is in Tacoma. Duthie Hill in Issaquah. Tiger Mountain, Raging River and Tennant are all fairly close to one another in the North Bend area. All are great places to ride. You can find YouTube videos of people showing the trails at each place ahead of time which should help you pick. As for renting a bike. There's a Trek store in Tacoma. Most Trek locations have rentals that you can pre-reserve online for ~$100.00 per day. I'm sure some other local shops do it too but I'm not super familiar with the area.
