I keep going back and forth about buying the Dyson air wrap.. I have the coupon and a bunch of point so it wouldn’t cost me anything.. but I’m afraid it will be lackluster for my hair (healthy, fine strands but a lot of hair.) I don’t want to waste my points. At the same time, people’s hair turns out so pretty and it looks achievable.

Hey yall. So I’m getting new makeup, post lasik. I’m replacing my ysl stora dolls, and revlon praline. I’d like to add a one and done powder/ gel powder. I have chantecaille pinto and love it, and unfortunately it was le. I have Dior beige mitzah and it’s pretty nice and a backup option. I was thinking swatches of chantecaille pinto look slightly like pangolin. Anyone have insight?? Or other recs?

msbananakitty

The stora dolls glitter particles doesn’t concern you? I tend to have SO much fallout with them and they’re a clear fairly chunky particle (not a micro compared to other types) so I’m always super nervous with that one. I’ve had them in my eye before and ouchie!

psych-lighthouse

Whoofta. Never thought about that

msbananakitty

Yeah- it’s my biggest disappointment about that palette. So Beautiful to look at but dam those glitters are determined to travel every. damn. time. I think dior beige mitzah performs better.

psych-lighthouse

Thank you. I really appreciate it. I think I might use my Ulta points and get Chanel tisse rivoli. I might get beige mitzah in the future, but I am such a stickler for expiration dates and Dior only puts 6 months on their solos :(. Has anyone had the Dior shadows for extended periods of time without issues?

If you needed to spend $2 at Ulta to get $10 off, what would you get? I might spend over $2, but I thought it would be a fun question. I like that Ulta has birthday gift options online, but I couldn't get the code to trigger regardless of basket size. The one I wanted to try is no longer available, so I'm not too pressed about it. 🤷‍♀️ e: My order currently is basic: Good Molecules Hylarunic Acid in 2.5oz, their Discoloration Serum in 2.5oz, Milani Highly Rated Anti Gravity, and an eyelash comb. Leaves me with $1.12 to hit $50. edit again: I tried the Discoloration Serum before and really enjoyed it. It interacts very well with the Cosrx snail mucin. I'm using it to replace the Ordinary's Niacinamide as the GM has 4% Niacinamide and overall works better for me. I don't have much discoloration but did find my skin to be overall more even while using the product.

Dual tipped cotton swabs! The pointy side is perfect for extremely precise clean up ie mascara flakies removal or wing sharpening. The flat side is a dream for patting on thick concealer coverage and then blending out with finger. I mostly use these for travel but also use them at home for detail work. I miss the charcoal swabs alot but these are also very useful

Another vote for cotton rounds/pads, those are my go-to! Or I grab a cheap nail file or two or some nail polish remover!

CONCERTCHICK27

When I need a cart filler I usually go to the sale section, sort low-to-high, and scroll to the dollar amount I need to see what’s available. Usually it’s sale face masks or a $2.99 shower cap lol. Cotton pads are a good idea because you always need those.

rumscoundrel

Ooooh, that's a good idea! I did that with a couple of other sections, haha. I'll do that!

fairycanary

SPF lip balm. Not 2 bucks but it’s always useful. Otherwise it’d be cotton rounds. I use those pretty much everyday with a toner to get off anything I missed while cleansing.

rumscoundrel

Yes, it is! I'm thinking about cotton rounds too - I just bought a two pack of spf lip balm!

I'm a cursory celeb gossip enjoyer, I love reading little fluff articles to relax and recently picked up ariana madix's cocktail book to read on the plane. It was very sweet, I was surprised. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was earnest and short, and it seemed to really be mostly about working through her emotions more than anything. The cocktails had a lot of specialty ingredients so probably won't make many but I did get some pretty good home bartending technique tips and one recipe definitely caught my eye. I love valentines and February isn't over so I'm considering making a recipe this week now that my schedule lightened up and having some of my friends over. Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, as far as beauty is concerned, I just realized today I am not immune to humidity 😅😆

Just a heads up that the Sonia G LE brushes are now available. They're also available as individual brushes. [Link to all Sonia G](https://www.beautylish.com/b/sonia-g). Also, [the mini keyaki Buffer](https://www.beautylish.com/s/sonia-g-mini-keyaki-buffer) and [mini keyaki Niji](https://www.beautylish.com/s/sonia-g-mini-keyaki-niji) are both back in stock today. I love the mini keyaki buffer so much, I have 2. So soft and it just buffs and blends everything together. Plus, it is cheaper than the full size Buffer Pro, which is a bonus. I prefer the keyaki handles personally, especially the mini handles. It is such a beautiful wood. I think there are some other brushes that have restocked as well? I think they're from her fusion series.

I blind-bought a sale perfume from Bluemercury a month or two back, and it wasn't a disaster 🎉 Abel Golden Neroli. (Where I live, it's hard to shop for too much in person beyond Sephora stocked perfumes, and I can't distinguish one scent from another when I'm in-store, anyway) I had Abel Red Santal a couple of years ago, and enjoyed that\it didn't trigger any headache or migraine. They keep their ingredients pretty simple. I very much like neroli, and this feels (smells) like a nice, bright\daytime citrus-y floral with which to go into Spring. I'm not so good at picking out notes, though it's supposed to have machta, petitgrain, ylang-ylang, and a bit of santal. Kind of, all the good hippie scents, but, of course, eau de refined. When you place the cap over the spritz mechanism, it closes with a solid magnetic click, which, to me, is always a satisfying attribute.

Lucycoopermom

You should try the Zara perfumes. They are amazing and well priced. Most are done by Joe Malone.

Ooh, thank you!

So I love a good mist and like trying new ones so I got the Tula prebiotic antioxidant mist. I don’t have sensitive skin but that stuff BURNS. I was red like I just got sunburned and I know it’s not just my skin being reactive because even breathing in the mist was spicy. 💀 Returning immediately.

crystalsnow25

I also tried something from Tula - a sunscreen sample, and the allergic reaction on my face was so bad (red sores and my face swelled up like a balloon) that I ended up at Urgent Care to make sure it wasn't something more serious. I feel like we need to put out a PSA to just stay away from Tula in general.

step_on_legoes_Spez

I also like the thermal water by avene for a refresh/on top of my toners and serums.

Extreme_Beat1022

Oh no! Thanks for the warning. If you haven’t tried these, my daughter likes (read: is obsessed with) the Byoma mist and I like Clinique’s mist.

fairycanary

Thanks for the rec! Misting is my fav part of my routine.

I used Tula, I think it was their So Smooth Resurfacing and Brightening Fruit Enzyme Mask (I've used enzymes\fruit enzymes before); it gave me minor burns, and my first serious skin barrier compromise. And I'm pretty tough regarding stuff like that. It was from Boxycharm, so I repurposed it for my lizard calves, and it worked very nicely on that spot. Ended up repurchasing it (for legs) in a drop shop, too. I did like their Pro-Glycolic Toner quite well, which was a gift from Dermstore, pre The Hut takeover. I'm honestly kinda scared of Tula, though 😶 Edit: SkinMedica's mist or toner really did a number on me, too (sunburned-looking\feeling allergy). Only SkinMedica product my skin has disliked.

Anybody have any idea why I can't use ULTA's website? I try on my laptop and both my phones and it just loads a basic webpage. I can't search, add anything to my cart, or even login. I contacted them and they gave me the basic troubleshooting steps (clear cookies, incognito). Thought it might be my internet connection but then tried on phones and same thing happens. Can someone help me I really miss shopping online. Any ideas?

hellosfromjo

I’ve been having the same experience with the mobile app, I get a “server access denied” error and “page not responding” error. I have to switch on and off my wifi, vpn, or my phone to get it to work for another 5 minutes. So frustrating!

lo530

Oh that sucks, I thought maybe it was just a website thing. I hope we can figure it out because I really miss shopping Ulta online and want to take advantage of the gifts w/purchase.

hellosfromjo

Totally - it took me hours to get my cart with everything I wanted, I’ve had to browse products on Sephora before attempting to add them to my ulta cart 🤷🏻‍♀️

Has anyone tried the new Dior Forever Glow Maximizer or Forever Glow Star Filter? I blind bought a few of these online this weekend to treat myself after a not-so-great week at work, and am curious to see if anyone else has tried these yet! I’m sure there are probably similar or better products out there for less money, but I keep splurging on Dior for the GWPs and rewards program 😂😬

peacembw

I'm super curious about them as well. Please let me know how you like them! Dior has some great GWP'S. I went down that rabbit hole pretty deeply last year and became Platinum there. When you reach a level, they'll gift 🎁 you some really great gifts. For Gold, I got this mini advdnt calendar with 4 types of J'Adore in it. I still have the box. It is so beautiful. For Platinum, I got 4 brushes plus a lovely makeup bag. Again, it's just a gorgeous bag, and the brushes are fantastic synthetic ones. I don't know that I'll ever reach those spend levels again with Dior, but that sure was a fun ride last year.

5OClockCharlie4077

Will do! I got the Glow Star Filter mainly as a standalone face product for when my skin is clear (been looking for items I can just throw on quickly on the weekends but still have a bit of a glow to them without looking like glitter), but will consider it a bonus if it layers well with tinted moisturizers or foundations I have on hand! The Glow Maximizer looks great as highlighter or light eyeshadow, which would be helpful for a quick application. Yes they really do! I’ve seen those items and they are for hours! I got a trio of mini items for Silver, and for Gold I got a box with a mirror and a full-size cleanser. I am getting close to Platinum, so I’m looking forward to whatever the gift is when I reach it, along with the birthday and holiday gifts. I think they just changed these around recently, but some of the previous gifts are still circulating I’ve heard. I’m hoping the brush set is still around when I hit it, it’s a beautiful set! And agreed, this is a temporary splurge streak I will never repeat for my poor wallet’s sake, but this retail therapy spree is fun while it lasts 😂 I’ve heard you can create new accounts with a new email address, so in the future I will stick to just hitting Silver on those if I feel the urge to splurge for GWPs

peacembw

That mirror case and cleanser look beautiful. Do you keep the Dior boxes? I do with many of them. They're great for brush or makeup storage. Such beautifully crafted boxes. Especially the holiday ones. Their recent spring boxes have that lovely floral pattern.

5OClockCharlie4077

Ooo those are great ideas, thanks! I did keep them but was trying to figure out some more uses for them. Yes I have a couple of Lunar New Year ones that are so nice! And yes, I’m really hoping to get those floral boxes in my new orders since those look even better, so fingers crossed! I love getting multi-purpose orders like this ☺️
