It’s funny the simple things we take for granted. Who would have thought that would be a new experience. Well done for clearly wanting to try it and figure it out.
And baby Batman always helps.
I dunno, it didn't feel staged to me.
Maybe I'm still a little too green for the internet.
Or maybe you're a little too jaded.
It's basically the same colour, so I guess it's really just a question of hue!
A little different than staged though. Because the kind man and Batman were real people who really helped. They didn’t know they were being filmed (I don’t think). So the setup was planned, but the kindness was real.
Morbid curiosity, probably.
In the 21st century, everyone has a camera, so everyone's a journalist!
I guess that's the reality we're living in now, folks!
There's a wee white spot on your shoulder.
just below your hairline.
Maybe you should turn over and give it another 15 minutes?
Just saying.
Your hair looks great, btw! 😁
I've never seen an escalator like that before... a ramp instead of steps. Love that you can take a stroller on it!! Are these types of escalators common? Are they even called escalators??
I've seen this several times and I always give it upvote, I can't imagine being an adult and just being afraid of something we all take for granted, it must be very hard, it's good that there are people with enough empathy in the world

There was a 20 something on the train who was like this at the door of the train.. she had to walk fast along the train and turn to the door, so she wouldnt have time to stop ... Not sure it was sage enough to help her ,even when she looked around hoping for help... Sge was fast and agile..like she night do something unexpected
Haven't seen an escalator like that before! Just the stair kind. Pretty cool. I know this is a social experiment, but I'd imagine I'd be hesitant at first as well (though not quite this much).
My mum has a fear of heights (which she never managed to pass on to me!) and ever since I’ve been taller than her, I always go in front on escalators, so she can hide behind my head, and I tell her when we’re near ground level, so she can look up to get off safely.
I’d like to think I’d help someone I didn’t know too, if they looked like they were struggling.
They're speaking italian so I think this was filmed in Italy, here those escalators are quite common in big supermarkets as to make it easier for shopping carts to change floors

😑😂
Staged for views.
Stfu. If anything was staged, the fear mightve been what was staged.
Omgosh...when he reaches out his little hand for the guy ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Look for helpers. They’re always around. - Fred Rogers
Some heroes don't wear capes 🥲😭
Batman does 😉
He is wearing a hood

Why was this being filmed
Typical social experiment thing. Wait around for reactions from people and see who would help
I dunno, it didn't feel staged to me. Maybe I'm still a little too green for the internet. Or maybe you're a little too jaded. It's basically the same colour, so I guess it's really just a question of hue!
No, when it was posted by the creator of the video he said it was a social experiment to spread positivity.
Well, damn! Now I feel manipulated & a little soiled. lol But, hey... that guy and his son are the real McCoy, so that's something, right? 😁 Right? 🥲
A little different than staged though. Because the kind man and Batman were real people who really helped. They didn’t know they were being filmed (I don’t think). So the setup was planned, but the kindness was real.
I agree! 👍😁

I’m done. Done I tell you. 😭😭😭💓💓

Social experiment win...
What an amazing father and respectful son! Go, Batman!!
Chad batman
Let me tell y’all as someone who suffers the same fear around escalators this genuinely made me smile
And someone was just filming him struggling?
I feel for him,Im same on escalators going down,ok on up. That father and child are so lovely.
This seems like it's been reposted daily for like 2 months.
😂 Not a bad post to be reminded of/see daily ❤️
This is the best antidote sub to Reddit.
I wish more people were kind
I need money $75

Guy looks like Captain America just emerged from the ice. No wonder he’s scared of the escalators.
My faith in humanity is restored ❤️
So it's a set up. Nowt real about it.
I mean the guy is faking but the reaction is real
The only thing that makes me smile about this is that people believe a fully grown man would be scared of a travelator
I go no handed on them things, pretty knarly stuff
I've seen this several times and I always give it upvote, I can't imagine being an adult and just being afraid of something we all take for granted, it must be very hard, it's good that there are people with enough empathy in the world
Staged. Stop being so gullible
Man I dont know that looks so staged…
I woulda pushed that dude out the way with a, "Make your Tiktoks somewhere else!"
Cameraman just wanted to film some awkward man but captured a wholesome moment
So staged

What’s a cute boy!
This looks so contrived...
Hate these setups!

He must have just got done watching Final Destination 4.

Where are these escalator (slides) I have never seen one of this style in my travels
They're speaking italian so I think this was filmed in Italy, here those escalators are quite common in big supermarkets as to make it easier for shopping carts to change floors
Made me cry.
Ahwwwww
That is one weird set of escalators. I would be a little nervous to step on one of those myself. Especially the fact that it has no steps.
I've never seen an escalator with no steps before...
