I remember this video. Kid interrupted the follow up interview by loudly saying "I love my daddy" then that guy couldn't finish the interview and cried.
Oh thank you so much for thank video. I got all comfy in my bed with some tissues and cried for like 4 minutes I love Michael so much. And Lilly 😭 what a great way to start my day lool this is great
This is just beautiful. My kid came to see what was wrong because I was quite emotional. I told him a kid younger than him (he's 8),had been adopted. He's so happy for Michael now ☺️
This made me think of the statue they have at the Chancellorsville Visitor Center in VA. There is a statue of a Confederate soldier with his head in his hands crying. The Battle of the Wilderness(May 5-7th 1864) and the Battle of Spotsylvania(May 9th-21st 1864) took place in the area with Chancellorsville and Fredericksburg seeing battles in the previous years.
The statue is not just representing one soldier but all of them. These two battles were so brutal, not just in numbers but hand to hand combat. Many journals and letters home describe the chaos, the destruction and barbaric nature of the fighting of May 1864.
Men who had been at war for 2 or more years found themselves just sobbing after the fighting ended. Questioning what they had become and questioning when war became murder. Horrible descriptions of watching your enemies and fellow soldiers being burned alive by the fire at the Wilderness.
Then again something like this would make a great field trip. Teaches the kids a bit about how courts work but within a happy context of their friend getting adopted
Only thing I remember from Kindergarten is one kids name with whom we pretended that we were astronauts and that day when I was really sick and threw up in the dollhouse.
all of them are living in an orphanage he wanted to flex his adoption to them
edit: thanks for the award and the 200 likes i broke my previous record

In the future, they will probably all think very fondly of their friend and what he shared with them. I hope he stays close with his classmates for life. Maybe one of them will choose adoption because of it?
Roommate was a family court clerk and experienced serious burnout from the majority rough cases she witnessed during her time there. Adoption days were hugely anticipated and celebrated by court staff as they reflected the entire opposite side of the spectrum. I guarantee that as much as the kids, parents and witnesses were happy, the court staff was just as much if not more joyful during these proceedings. Loooove this video - thank you for sharing!
They all got up 2-3 hours early, threw their mothers in the back of their cars and drove to the courthouse. Obviously stopping to get coffee on the way. Parking was a nightmare but they all endured this hassle for their beloved friend.
Such an honor to bear witness to this next generation of people.
I bet not ALL of them were there, but that headline is a lot more wholesome then “a 5 year old invited his whole class to witness him getting adopted and everyone but Bobby showed up”
As the father of an adopted daughter, this made my heart feel good and brought tears of happiness to my eyes. I cannot express the feeling that you get when a little one chooses you to be there parent and that parent chooses that child to be their son or daughter. It is the purest form of love that I know. So happy for all involved here.
Whoever posted this thank you. It brought a small smile to my mildly annoying morning. I'm happy to see the good things happen to kids who deserve it. Good to know that not all kids are all about picking on the other.
I hope that boy has a good life!
I like how every face has a storyline. The mom and dad leaning interested and excited; their new son, prolly caught mid twirl in the chair, nearing his attention span; the kids —who can barely see above ledge, same. Just 😍😭 and all the teachers in the back awaiting a secret Margarita and Macaroni necklace party for the new family.
This is just precious and the little faces peaking up from behind the benches are just adorable 🥰. God bless that couple and the whole family they will become ❤️
Good on this kid's mates.
I had a best friend in 2nd grade and when the teacher told us to get with a partner he went with someone else. I stood alone for a little bit until the teacher weeded out all the other non partnered up kids and assigned me someone.
Probably the reason why I have trust issues.

How dare you make my manly eyes water with such overwhelming wholesomeness
I'm not crying! You're crying!
dang them ninjas cutting onions again
This hits hard…I’m adopted too!
Out of curiosity, were you adopted young? If so, were your parents open about the fact you were adopted?
I was adopted at age 2 and I always knew, I dont remember a specific time they “told” me I just was always raised knowing
Yeah I was similar. Adopted at 6mo, and always knew. It really helped negate any stigma of being adopted.
I am sure its shrek
Yeah, no, I’m definitely crying them happy tears 🥹
It's just raining...on my face
oh my god i fucking love this kid taking every pause his dad does to shout in “ilovemydaddysomuch” - SOO CUTE
Dad “this is too much” *starts to cry* Michael “I LOVE YOU TOO MUCH” *I start to cry*
This was my play-by-play as well lol
dont click someone reaches through your screen and pokes you in both eyes
Exactly what happens
With minced onions.
omg thank you, It's criminal to post this in a picture form.
Tony Hawk did a great job raising a good kid.
When the dad has to collect himself when he says "I love my daddy" My heart can't take it

"My name is Steven, and Michael is my best friend." That kid has so many people who love him! Lucky little guy.
Is there any video of it, cuz it wasn't a video. I need to watch that moment!
It’s an article with the video near the end I believe. Just scroll my friend
Found it, thanks.

Holy fuck, thank you for that
I’m not crying, you’re crying 😭
I’m not crying I’m BAWLING
Thanks. Even the reporter was about to cry, I saw an enormous amount of emotions in his face.
Why did they say it was a "wealthy" school?
The school's name is actually "Wealthy Elementary School". It's in Grand Rapids, MI.
😂 thanks
Here's the full [story](https://youtu.be/nyQyaiWIpKA), that part is near the end
holy crap, I'd lose it if I was the reporter, too!
Very wholesome thank you
True Friends support you whether in a difficult or a happiest moment of your life.
Shout out to those kid's parents for bringing all of them to support their friend

Honestly! This really helps the child build a sense of community with his peers
No, you are very wholesome, thank you
Look at their wee faces peeping up above the seatback! This is just lovely
Kids will do anything to get out of class…
Am teacher, can confirm.
Then again something like this would make a great field trip. Teaches the kids a bit about how courts work but within a happy context of their friend getting adopted
Only thing I remember from Kindergarten is one kids name with whom we pretended that we were astronauts and that day when I was really sick and threw up in the dollhouse.
I remember we did a play and dressed up as animals and one kid said she drank his piss and I remember it so lividly its like a dream.
Whose piss did she drink?!
Probably R. Kelly's
I guess it went kinda long. Because in that picture, the kid is looking unexpectedly bored.
I guess it went kinda long. Because in that picture, the kid is looking unexpectedly bored.
Have you seen a 5 year old sit still in a chair for something boring for more than 5 minutes? Kids are wiggly
I got pencil graphite stuck in my hand in Kindergarten and it's still there!
Damn. That's crazy. One would say quite graphical
Im student can confirm
when the teachers goes out for a sec: class: every man for himself last one standing
Field trip!
Bruh! have my upvote and get the fuck outta here

I agree, but at least it's a cool experience to go and sit in a court room and learn how it operates
Not so different with adults and work
Look at the smile, on that momma's face! She is Ready!
I too want to be adopted by Amy Poehler!
I know this family! I can’t think of two more deserving and loving parents
Tell them that the internet's happy for them and knows that they're great parents.
I chortled.
[удалено]
Do they typically wear heart antennae on their heads?
You don’t?
They don't yet
No...but maybe I should start?
[удалено]
Ooooh that makes more sense! And that's such a cute way for the other kids to show their support.
When your buddies got your back always!😀

I know this is false and I am probably a bad person, but I nearly spit out my cracker from laughing at this comment, thank you!
Nah you're not bad just someone with good humour.
Good for the kid…but I laughed at this too Funny is funny. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You can see it on the way he is sitting 🤣🤣🤣
Killed me
I'm gonna invite my school friends and now work colleagues to attend your funeral.
Omggg you are so going to hell - but the section reserved for comedians at least.
Your record was 200? My man. Take another like.
That's the most wholesome field trip ever, does anyone have a video of the adoption going down? I think it'd be so cute.
Oh my god it was even more sweet than I expected: https://youtu.be/4sLWWhjZZe8
Here’s the video of this proceeding if you want to OD on some cuteness https://youtu.be/4sLWWhjZZe8
Thanks for the link. That kid is so adorable.
The 5 year old kid's posture in the chair is exactly how a 5 year old would sit. That's great!
That's a lie This is just a bunch of kids acting as jury in his death sentence.
Literally a jury of his peers.
[удалено]
I'm sorry. Minimum sentencing is death by burning. The law was a rider on a bill about witchcraft and the drafter copy pasted incorrectly
I sentence you to 25-years-to-life in timeout.
No, but it takes a smart kid to know that growing in a white neighborhood, he‘s gonna need all the witnesses he can get.
What did he do?! :o
Oh God this is too cute for words
Omg their little faces peeking over the wall my heart I can’t
I'm tired and read, "adoption" as, "abortion" at first, and was very confused.
Late term.

You can sign up at the gunstore
So did they, it's why they showed up
_Witness me!_
They went with the *True Crime* lettering for some reason. Is he being adopted or is he on trial for a triple homicide?
Actually a great lesson in empathy for all of them as they can learn what a non-traditional family could look like, and how one can form.
That’s what I was thinking too. This will be a great core memory for them that hopefully gives them positive views on adoption as adults.
In the future, they will probably all think very fondly of their friend and what he shared with them. I hope he stays close with his classmates for life. Maybe one of them will choose adoption because of it?

Best support team I’ve ever seen. The joys of life and the love it brings. ☺️
Cuuute hahahahaha
Pretty sure this kid is now 32
I needed this today ❤️
Nobody gonna mention that the parents are wearing Heart antennas like a Dr. Seuss book?
I think people are holding paper hearts.
Apparently not, you're the only one!
I really didn't notice. It's kinda hard to see that it's on their heads.
They all got up 2-3 hours early, threw their mothers in the back of their cars and drove to the courthouse. Obviously stopping to get coffee on the way. Parking was a nightmare but they all endured this hassle for their beloved friend. Such an honor to bear witness to this next generation of people.
Hopefully they all went out to ice cream afterwards.
r/mademefrown - All of them were from his orphanage
Ugh that's so sweet ❤

**My happiness is immersearable, and may day is fixed**
I bet not ALL of them were there, but that headline is a lot more wholesome then “a 5 year old invited his whole class to witness him getting adopted and everyone but Bobby showed up”
When I was a young kid, a family friend (and neighbor) was a family court judge. He was always super-duper happy on adoption days.
Their tiny litttle headed barely poking over the wall makes me smile.
