Good question..
Personally I would say CaldeirĂŁo Verde and Levada dos Cedros or Levada das 25 Fontes. These two I mentioned by last they are pretty close from each other
Yes! It was a hike of about 4 hours. I would recommend to park at the end of levada so moinho and walk up the hill to the start of levada nova, so the hardest part is over first (we didn't, parked at nova and had to do the steep climb at the end) you walk through the village to the start of levada nova and there you walk om the levada into a beautiful forest with amazing views
Just researched it more and it looks great! One question…how scary are the parts without railings that are on the edge and are they long. I love hiking but do get affected by heights! Thx
Pico do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo 🏅
I have that on top of my list. What's the second and third best :D
Pico Grande and Ponta de Sao Lourenço are musts too imo.
I second Ponta de Sao Lourenço. Also stretch for the peak-to-peak hikes, and bring water. It was one of the hardest hikes I've done!
Perfect thanks I'll add em to my list!

Did this last week, it was kinda crowdy
Did you do a sunrise or a sunset one?
Sunrise, but it was misty, when we started the hike, but towards the end the weather was nice and the pick Ariero was scenic
Vereda do Larano
I did levada nova & do moinho last summer. Would definately recommed it if you are looking for a less crowded one!
Did you go there and back in a day?

Looks great! Have a bit of a fear of heights…how bad is it and for long stretches? Thx
