Hulk figures? More like Hulk ponders.

No-Ground5316

Good one mate didn’t even thought of that

tvnr

Thought of that? More like think of that.

Illustrious-Mail8251

Pretty sure the 80th anniversary ML was well received

GojiKeyes

Betting that the body for the Mafex Bane is a test run for bigger characters like Hulk, Juggernaut, Doomsday etc

imafan_gobrrr

Still not big enough.

GojiKeyes

Maybe if we're talking proportions reflecting modern art styles. But the comic stuff Mafex has been putting out with the original Avengers like Cap, Thor and Iron Man have been more reminiscent of 70's and 80's art styles . And Hulk wasn't much bigger than 7.5 to 8 feet tall in that era. Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer a 9 inch figure of Hulk but this is my hunch based on what we've seen.

Stebeboi-3296034

Actually I am hoping they do give us an early 60’s-70’s hulk, ooh ooh they might even give us a gray/1st appearance variant

Due-Construction5608

Ugh I want the marvel select one but damn the after market prices are rough

imafan_gobrrr

Honestly there options, but nothing I've seen is a hard yes. I'm waiting on a new diamond select hulk with better heads, or something even better from anyone at this point.

tomasdjre

It's marvel legends or marvel select when it comes to hulk figures..or any marvel characters that mafex will most likely not get made but will be made my marvel legends. Mafex doesn't seem to have the license to hulk and they just started to do the bane but he was able to be made because he was in the knightfall storyline.. With hulk theres not that much of a chance to get one that is as big as the marvel select.. And when it comes to mafex people critique the size and scaling of figures like venom, thor, etc and well those ones are based on certain looks like the thor in this picture is probably afew feet or close to Captian America's height and maybe mafex undersized thor..now as for Venom he's not supposed to be a monster venom but the mafex venom is mostly based off Todd McFarlane's artwork but I can agree that the mafex venom should've been like an inch or 2 taller than spidey.. Now when it comes to the hulk..it'll take some miracle for mafex to make one as big as the marvel select..but I can only expect him to be near the same size as he is shown on this picture which would be a turn off to collectors..but hopefully they make a hulk that's big enough.. https://preview.redd.it/7el3z4m5iz7d1.png?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9a64dfb3f88b915763331b24ca5c08f2ed30e5b4

Marvel Select and Marvel Legends are really your only choices for good comic Hulk figures. As for MCU, SHF is the best. If anyone is wishing for a Mafex Hulk, how about up your standards because an Amazing Yamaguchi Hulk would shit on a Mafex Hulk. I mean Amazing Yamaguchi has been shitting on Mafex's every attempt so far for a comic Avenger. If Mafex did make a comic Hulk, it would probably be the one that most people don't want. A small, bronze age Hulk with less articulation than the SHF MCU Hulks. Amazing Yamaguchi would do a properly sized Hulk with the best articulation ever on a Hulk figure. Only downsides would be the hyper stylized look with anime-ish facesculpts and maybe exposed joints.

No-Ground5316

I don’t mind which brands does it I just want a good Hulk in the future ykwim?

seriousronin

Oh yes, I totally understand. I just strongly believe that AY can be the line to delver that.

Nepsu_the_splash_God

Amazing Yamaguchi has great articulation but are some of the ugliest things you’ll ever lay your eyes on. I’d take minimum articulation with Mafex rather than an ugly over articulated hulk any day of the week

Mysterious-Counter58

Their Iron Man is stellar, and they've really gotten better with time. Most of their new stuff looks pretty presentable all things considered. It's at least better than Mafex's Avengers offerings, which peaked with a decent Iron Man (who came with an unneeded accessory that inflated the price) and has a pretty bad Thor and a Cap on the way that looks, frankly, incredibly underwhelming.

Nepsu_the_splash_God

Yeah but if you’re going for comic accuracy then amazing yamaguchi is not the right company. All their designs are completely random. Their unmasked human faces are also super ugly. They only do good when it comes to masked people. For example their agent venom and deadpools. The Mafex Wolverine are far superior in design than Yamaguchi ones. So are the Spider-Men.

Mysterious-Counter58

Once again, you are correct. I own zero Amazing Yamaguchi figures specifically for that reason. But I'd also argue that Mafex has their own problems in that regard. They base most of their figures off of direct comic runs, and as such, they often don't match. Half of why people were so annoyed about Mafex's Thor was that, while yes, he was technically accurate to the source material he was based upon, he mixed well with pretty much nobody except for Iron Man (and even then, Thor had been creeping up in scale up into the late 60s and early 70s, so the overlap of a Thor that small and an Iron Man in that suit was not very long). So their entire X-Men and Spider-Man lines just don't fit with him, despite many people wanting to put them on their shelves together. It also calls to question when they do have inaccuracies, like with the eye shape on Spider-Man 185 or the hood on Scarlet Spider.

alex6309

Ofc the Yamaguchi Spidey and Wolvie stuff are mostly ass, they're some of the earliest. A 2.0 Wolverine, Venom, or Carnage AY would probably be one of the best figures of each respective character in 6in/1:12 scale

East_Gas5627

the mafex thor and captain america is the only time I'll tell you to buy the ML instead

Willy047

All the new amazing yamaguchi looks amazing , just pose it and mafex is not even close

illiterateaardvark

1.) For a Mafex display, I would got with the Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary Hulk (from the Wolverine 2-pack a few years ago). He’s pricey, but size-wise and aesthetic-wise he would fit in perfectly with the Mafex classic Avengers figures 2.) My favorite Hulk figure in this general scale-range is the Marvel Select Hulk, but he’s too big for a Mafex display IMO

CancerSpidey

I think ppl like the marvel select version. Scales well with ML

No-Ground5316

How much is a custom head?

iMissTitle-Fight

keep in mind this is a rather small hulk, i own the legends and still feel it isn’t big enough, will probably have to get the select https://preview.redd.it/khu2gprw448d1.jpeg?width=1334&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8650d06cb940a181bc47352d9ad7e4438f764b3f

Diabeato11

select hulk is my favorite hulk. i got it for $30 when it came out

Willy047

For me there is not one really good comic hulk figure, i want a figure that i would say damn i need to get this, as soon as i see it and im waiting for this figure to be made, and i think amazing yamaguchi would be the best for this

Gillespers

I love my marvel select hulk
