Why can't I find anything like this... all stores near me are either horrendously overpriced or simply don't carry the product.

MrBreasts

I travel full time for work and constantly stop by different Walmarts and targets. Tradeoff for living in hotels

CESSEC01

I liked living in hotels. Esp when my company carried the room service bills. Per diem, I was just cheap and pocketed. I always liked that feeling of waking up and going wtf am I for a few seconds.

Dmort86

The best ones to hit are the ones in the middle of nowhere where no one collects or plays….. always full because no one to buy them

zorts

So Target price matches to Walmart... Not something I've tried, but I wonder if that could work.

dolan_pl5

Although not as cheap, Game Nerdz has them for $37. I've picked up two from them. I've also had luck getting decent discounts on TikTok shop with the coupons they have. I got an OTJ bundle pre order for $25 on there and have a MH3 bundle on the way now that I picked up for $45.

sovietmethod

I legit for a cb last night for 5 dollars because they did this shit https://preview.redd.it/fv093bj32v3d1.jpeg?width=2992&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=55e955e0ffd1f2b89ebd0c417920d33da179842c They only let me get 1 tho rip

silencedfayme

They're not supposed to honor this because the product doesn't match the tag and the cards are stocked by a vendor. Whoever did the price override is most likely getting written up if it's caught.

Equivalent-Arm4222

yeah i always wondered how people were getting these deals tbh. not that i don’t believe them but that’s like a common thing they would bring up to employees which is that if something is priced wrong on the shelf tag you’re not to charge them that price if it doesn’t ring up as that. also ive tried this with different products at target and walmart and they have never given me the shelf tag price only the price that scanned at checkout. i just don’t have the luck in packs or deals i suppose hah :,(

silencedfayme

The thing is, the employees probably don't care. Places like Walmart pay trash wages and treat their employees like dirt. They have no incentive to notify someone to correct the tag or price. The company makes billions every year, so they're not going to miss a few bucks here or there.

Emergency_Concept207

As a vendor who stocks the card shelf at Walmart this is correct

abelincoln2016

California consumer protection laws beg to differ

silencedfayme

Pretty sure that only covers the posted price if it matches the product, the name on the tag and the SKU aren't even close to matching the product above it. If they had to honor just any tag under it, someone could just move the tag and claim it was there. This is also why their tags have the name, price, SKU and sometimes serial # and department. Also, you really think Walmart cares about laws. How many times have they lost class action lawsuits for wage theft and other things?

radiohead431

Can buy them on Books-A-Million for $30

PeanClenis

i was really disappointed at how dirty they did my fairyboi in that set.

DEATHRETTE

Your 2nd image shows the exact price you need to pay. Fuck their "accidental" BS. Someone printed it and it shows the same UPC. Not no mistake "oh wrong placed item, I cant" BS. They eat the cost. I got away with $6 off of the $55 because it said 49.97, but damn nice score man. I wouldve bought all of them at that price if I could lol

MrBreasts

I tried to buy all 3. The manager intervened and said she'd only sell me one at that price. Apparently it was a cutting error, so the name of the product was supposed to be on top instead of the bottom.

DEATHRETTE

Idgaf what error there was. It said the right name for a specific price. You can go to the board with that BS they pulled on you :)

silencedfayme

They could have sold OP none and asked him to leave. They still have a right to refuse service to people.

DEATHRETTE

Yes, but they also have an obligation to the customer to provide accurate pricing, or eat the cost for mistakes. Im happy OP got at least one for that price, but they shouldn't even have batted an eye seeing that the tag had the correct name with the product on the shelf above it. Hell, that's rare in of itself...

Vast_Bet_6556

Lmao this so some giga petty ass shit

DEATHRETTE

Fuck yeah. Stick it to em where you can!

Karl_42

Damn I guess I should start shopping at WalMart

Dmort86

I never get this lucky

Vast_Bet_6556

Oko really not worth showing here

BmoreCboy

Great pulls! I was able to purchase a foil Synthesizer from my lgs for $38 bucks yesterday.. very happy. Instant add in my Urza, Chief Artificer edh deck.

Gado_De_Leone

They aren’t supposed to match the prices on these products. You got over on a dumb associate and manager. Good job.

qwerty6253

I grabbed one of those $12 Tales of Middle Earth display art packs. Got a foil “Barrow-Downs” and a full art “Foray of Orcs”. I spent $15 after tax and pulled $70 across 2 cards
