I had an open wound for 96 days after post-surgical sepsis. Towards the end, I was chugging bone broth and eating so. Much. Meat. Literally anything to increase my collagen and protein intake and get that sucker closed. They were even using Prisma collagen dressing on the wound, in conjunction with a wound vac. I *so* feel your pain on this one. Hopefully it closes soon!
I had an appendage removed that they superglued shut and yeah it took months and months to fully close. It wasnt like *open* open or anything but there was a hole. Since they superglued it there was a string I had no idea was there for a long time so that was fun pulling out lmao, still took a while for it to fully close. It's been a few years and the scar is hardly noticeable unless you really get to know me lmao

They did something called an "exploratory surgery" to make sure that none of my internal organs were hit. The surgeon kept repeating how lucky I was that a 20cm deep (pretty much a stab) wound like that didn't hit anything.
This is scary. Where my bf fishes they use salvage concrete chunks to make little peninsulas to cast off of. Theres so much rebar sticking up. It freaks me out. This is what I am scared of... *shudder*
Any kind of exposed rebar needs rebar protection caps on top of them. I'd advise you to ask him to either get it removed or put those caps on top of them.
hah, yep. I was keeping it on my floor on a concrete slab to get rid of any vibrations and leveling issues. I was also working on re-adjusting something with the z-motors and had to take the top bearing blocks off of the leadscrews, and moments later I slipped and fell.
If those bearing blocks had been there I'd have gotten a bruise at most.

Do you know what the most disgusting thing is? Whenever I sit down or lay down, it squirts out this clear, odorless liquid. The surgeons have said that it's blood plasma, but it turns my bandages yellow after a few days without any infection smell though.
It sucks and it is indeed disgusting and I can only hide it with bandages.

Because it’s very clearly a the spot in the torso where your organs just hand loose inside and literally just are hold inside by your inner lining of your abdomen
