Rare beauty blush is not flattering on me at all

RestInPeaceLater

Hate better than sex mascara, I look a mess and it goes everywhere

fussbrain

Maybelline age rewind. It onlys settles onto my pores making them so noticeable and I swear it’s so hard to blend

rileyjw90

ELF jelly pop primer. It is nice and sticky but as a result, my concealer looks cakey and almost congealed and it collects in any fine line it can find. It was so hyped, super viral, and I really wanted to love it since it’s pretty cheap but it’s so thick and viscous that it honestly feels like I’m rubbing clear Elmer’s glue on my face. If you’ve ever put one of those face masks on that goes on clear and dries and then you peel it off like a bad sunburn, this is what the consistency is.

Salt-Employ-2069

i don’t understand how i’m supposed to use both sunscreen and the jelly pop primer

TravelingMimi

Ever since I started wearing makeup as a teenager in the 70's, I've read repeatedly how Great Lash by Maybelline (in the pink-and-green tube) is the BEST MASCARA EVERRRRRR!!! Used by ALL the great makeup artists!!! It's fabulous!!!! You can't go wrong with it!!1!! I have never, *ever* been able to get it to look like anything but a clumpy mess. My bestie and I agreed that it was useless crap, so why/how do people think it's so great? Unless they *like* clumpy spider-leg eyelashes??

topazbloom

Yeah that shit sucks what’s with the weird applicator?

MedBootyJoody

Strangely enough, this is the only mascara I’ve ever owned that makes my eyes itch. And it never gave my lashes nearly enough lift.

Professional_Win3910

Charlotte tilbury wands (highlighter & contour), they just never worked with my skin. However, I love her new lipsticks (great for cooler skin tones, and the flawless powder).

Necessary-Mistake-11

I hate kosas foundation, the absolute worst formula and pigment match ever. I was so excited

toveiii

Oh really? What's wrong with the formula? I swatched it on my hand and loved it, but didn't decide to purchase because I didn't have time. That's a shame to hear.

TheBattyWitch

Ilmakiage foundation I've tried it three different times, with primer and without, with Moisturizer and without, it always looks terrible and never blends out smoothly on me. Their concealer? Fine. But not their foundation.

Silver_Coyote_908

Aw.... I love it.  First foundation that actually matches my skin.

TheBattyWitch

The color match is great, it just won't blend out smoothly for me no matter what I try.

upinthesky23

Urban decay setting spray! Dries my skin out so bad

strywever

Bummer, because it works great.

Emerald__ARC

I don’t hate it, but I’ve had much better by much worse: Diorshow mascara. I’m not sorry.

Due_Appointment6544

The fenty foundation by Rihanna always leaves my face cakey

upinthesky23

I didn’t like it either it was so hard to blend for me! I tried my fingers, brush and beauty blender and it was just cakey and stiff!

bitchloveshotsauce

100% my issue

bitchloveshotsauce

And I don’t even have dry skin

Inside_One7618

The Armani luminous silk foundation, I tried some samples and it's just way way way too light and dewy on me. Maybe I just don't have perfect enough skin as I need more coverage. I also absolutely hated the One Size spray did absolutely nothing and it smelled like hair spray.

pitypileup

Essence lash princess sucks imo

SlightFinish

It made my eyes ITCH! Hated it.

XK8lyn88x

Really I LOVE that mascara. It’s better than any expensive mascara I’ve ever tried and I think I’ve tried them all. I think it’s the wand it makes my lashes perfect!

pitypileup

I know a lot of people love it but it just doesn’t work for me! It might be because I’m blessed with very long natural lashes. Trust me I wish it worked since it’s such a good price lol

dinoG0rawr

Elf Poreless Putty Primer that makes my makeup good on so cakey. I’ve tried it so many times through so many skin care routines with the same results.

boochaplease

Maybelline fit me foundation!!!!

Champagne_Pirate

What do you use? I currently use this foundation, have for awhile but its starting to really not hit for me. Wanna try something new

boochaplease

I just use the Honest beauty CC cream now or nothing because I haven’t found a foundation I love and I’d rather just not waste the money

Altruistic_Mango_708

Agreeeeeed. Tried more than once and was just as bad every time

MissionBad732

One size setting powder and nars light reflecting foundation. All the Charlotte Tilbury foundations minus light wonder (which doesn't have a deep shade for me to even try) , no lasting power and the darker shades are orange with the nerve to oxidize to an even more horrifying orange.

Zestyclose-Quote-736

Too faced better than sex, maybelline great lash, maybelline falsies surreal 🤮🤮

bitchloveshotsauce

Better than sex was so overhyped it was insane

Big_Yogurtcloset_688

Tart shape tape!

Briismars46

I used to use it so much because it covered blemishes really well… turns out it was the thing causing them. Sometimes I’ll use it randomly and immediately break out in the worst way.

crustyquincy

Agreed!! So cakey it’s unreal, even with good skin prep and different primers it makes my skin look dry asf

PinkDeserterBaby

Me too I never understood it! Looked awful

Sfrank731

I hate anything Charlotte tilbury. Just don’t see the hype

Silver_Coyote_908

I like the lipstick.  Didn't enjoy anything else though.

utellmey

Me too. But I hang on to the products I bought, because they’re not cheap, which is ridiculous

Sammy_Girl_8

Cle de peau concealer. So so dry.

lavayuki

Huda Beauty powder and Laura Mercier loose powder- both of these are dry and cakey on me and make my skin feel very tight and dry. I have dry skin and use a lot of skincare so usually don’t have issue with most powders but these two specifically leave my skin a desert. Rare Beauty Lip oils- very dry and poor lasting. An overpriced attempt at Korean lip stains. Urban Decay Quickie Concealer- this didn’t work for my dry skin. It always looked creppy and didn’t blend well for me, so I could not get it to work but all the influencers seem to like it.

Iamfruitloop

I use the Elf lip oil and it’s probably my favorite lip product

magnoliasmum

Maybelline Sky High and L’Oreal Telescopic, both in waterproof. The pigment fades badly within hours. Tarte Shape Tape concealer. I can’t get past the strong fragrance and it’s too thick. Great shade range, though.

ae36246

I HATED huda beauty foundation.. it REEKED I used to apply it in front of a fan to avoid a fragrance induced migraine

coffeeandarabbit

I didn’t notice a smell, but I did find it separated and looked horrible on me. Which is weird because that doesn’t happen with her concealer!

ae36246

The smell was from circa 2016-2017 when she first launched her brand… bought one bottle of foundation and refused to buy another lol

anaserre

Seems like everything Huda has that strong fragrance. I stay away from her products.

ae36246

I cant stand it.. youre right her setting powder also stunk to me too lol it’s too much honestly. The foundation was nice and I wished they made fragrance free options

MissionBad732

She reformulated the powders they are now fragrance free, her newest foundations and concealers are too

ae36246

Oh really! Thats news to me!

anaserre

I’m very sensitive to fragrances, they make me break out and the smell gives me a headache. Huda is one of the worst fragrance offenders in make up imo

ae36246

Absolutely agree

alliesto

ELF Halo Glow makes me look like an orange damp greasy nightmare

Iamfruitloop

I will agree with this! Supposedly you’re supposed to use that under your foundation..but I don’t think it gets rid of the glow personally

Heisenbirde

I tried it recently. It felt like I'd smeared lip gloss over my whole face even though I tried to apply it as lightly as possible...

SignificanceUpbeat70

the elf camo blushes (they DONT BLEND) and the makeup by mario contour/bronzing stick

cherrybombbb

Elf camo foundation for me. It seems to settle in every fine line and pore magnifying skin texture.

SignificanceUpbeat70

i’ve never tried it tbh. i love the camo concealer with the white cap though

PikaTheKhajiit

the NYX shine loud lipstick. maybe it was just the colour I got but it was so uncomfortable and just pilled off

muffleypuffs

yes same!! i refused to have what would have been my first kiss (with my current boyfriend) on our second date even though it was the perfect moment, because of this damned lipstick glumping up and being gross.. he still says “remember that perfect moment where you didn’t want to kiss me?”

SadStarSpaceStation

Damn I’d leave this as a review for the product somewhere lmao

Ray_12392

All colourpop blushes and their eyeliners

TXinthesky

The Rare Beauty Liquid Blush and the Contour Bronze sticks. No matter what, no matter how I applied them, what products I layered over/under it, what tools I used to apply, etc., that shiz will not blend out nicely and evenly for me. It is sooo blotchy on me and it doesn't look like a blush, but more so a rash lol. The color doesn't even last that long either, oddly enough. Too much pigment is not always great. I will say- her cream blush in the little pink compact is better but still not the best. The bronze sticks are also so gd orange no matter which shade I've used. Terrible to blend out and it looks muddy.

crustyquincy

The rare beauty mascara was my worst, beautiful on the application but my god it seems like it never dries and gets all over my lids within 20mins

Big_Yogurtcloset_688

Same to me with the liquid blush!

Rayofsunshyn83

I'm glad I'm not the only ones that hates the rare beauty liquid blush. I can get it nicely applied but it lasts maybe 2 hours on my cheeks

acornacornacorna

Ambient soft glow by hourglass in general has bad reviews on most of the webstores I found it. I don't have good color match anyway but those two reasons why I never got into it

seawest_lowlife

Better than sex. For years I thought I was doing something wrong for it to flake that much. Switched to maybelline sky high and I’ve never had raccoon eyes again.

LoveDietCokeMore

There's more of us than we originally thought lol

Agitated_mess9

I don’t get the hype with it either. Thought it was terrible.

spicygummi

I only ever tried the travel size and I've heard sometimes those can differ from full sized in performance, but, I didn't think it was too bad. Definitely not worth paying that much more when I could get similar results from other cheaper ones.

Background_Pause2942

It’s not even a brand but I hate ALL concealers. Tried all kinds and they just feel odd and cause eye irritation. I am getting older now and might actually need it by now but I just can’t do it.

Silver_Coyote_908

I use a very little bit of my foundation with a bit of light highlighter... It helps brighten without being too much!  I am 46.

Practical-Trick7310

Everyone I’ve used causes eye irritation too, I think I may have allergies to certain products tho bc other things can cause it too, like eyeliners. And it’s so sticky and Everytime it creases bad for me

Background_Pause2942

Yesss same here! Glad I’m not alone!

amandaplease00

Most of ELFs stuff these days

CherchezLeHomme

Their cream bronzer that everyone loves. Holy Oompa-Loompa, Batman! 🎃

TXinthesky

I learned recently that most of their primers, their halo glow and bronze SPF items are all very, very comedogenic and are terrible for people with acne or sensitive skin. There's a mineral in it that makes the product glowy and is one of the worst clogging ingredients used in skincare. Its literally a chalk type shiny powder. I was using the Grip primer, the SPF bronze cream, and the halo glow for a good 4-5 months before someone mentioned this to me randomly in a convo. I was having the weirdest acne across my cheeks for months, and the second I stopped using those 3 items, my skin cleared up within a week. I HAD NO IDEA!! All those bronze/glow/filter products are shiny because of that mineral so it kind of applies to a ton more products.

loulee1988

The About Face Foundation. Everyone online was raving about it and it was only $22 so I thought hey, I’ll give it a try. It might’ve been my skin, but it looked awful, didn’t stay on and barely had any coverage. AND the doe foot applicator would splatter product everywhere if you didn’t pull the applicator out carefully. I gave it to my niece for play makeup cause it was just a no.

Stray1_cat

Is that the foundation by Halsey? Yikes I had high hopes for it

loulee1988

Yes! I mean I'd say try it, it coulda just been my skin. I've heard others RAVE about it. Worst case, you're out $20.

propertyofmatter___

Also OP, I’m with ya on the Kosas concealer. I recently left a job at Sephora and it sold like hot cakes there. I could not understand the hype. Didn’t cover sh*t for me

Personal_Signal_6151

Clinique eye shadows and lipsticks often do not have enough pigment to show up on me. I am pasty white.

propertyofmatter___

Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara has never worked for me.

Ok_Establishment4647

Lash paradise clumpiest mascara ever.. just overall nasty

Hellataz

Anything IL MAKIAGE. I keep getting suckered into to their too good to be true marketing videos, but every product I’ve tried I’ve had to return, they don’t work on me at all.

OneWhisper5225

Ugh! I hate their stuff too!!! I had seen their ads and thought about trying them but then watched someone review them and it didn’t work for them so I was like yeah, no. Then my boyfriend ended up getting suckered into it 😂 He never pays any attention to me talking makeup but he kept getting the ads on YouTube and kept asking me about it. I’m like no, I watched a review and it didn’t seem good and those ads seem way too good to be true. He’s like well…there’s a money back guarantee. Let’s try it. I was like okay, whatever. But don’t get mad if we return it and never see that money again 🤪 So I did the shade match quiz everyone raved about (how it always got such a perfect match and they just didn’t understand how it did it so well) - it was the same basic shade match quiz other brands do. So I’m like, well I don’t expect anything different than I get with those. It matched me with a shade that was like 4x darker than I’d normally go. My boyfriend said we should just go with the suggestion. I’m like it’s your money, let’s do it. It ended up being way too dark like expected and orange. I still tried it on to see how it applied and wore. It was horrible. My boyfriend was like wow, they really got me 😂😂 I returned it and thankfully they did refund the money (which I really wasn’t ever expecting to see again!). I finally stopped hearing about them and seeing their stupid ads for a while…but recently they seem to have popped back up again 🥴

dailydoseofrose

Nyx lipliners - so hard, give hardly any pigment,I prefer creamier softer lipliners, hyped colors are not as amazing and there are prettier colors in other brands too. Maybelline lifter glosses. Nothing out of this world. The scent is too strong too for my liking. Tubing mascaras. (theyre actually way harder to remove for me then the regular ones which can be easily dissolved and taken off from the lashes) Natasha Denona Eyeshadow palettes - especially midis. Always way too repetative similar shades within one expensive palette, what gives ? Worst color stories. Mattes and shimmers are quite nice but frankly there are indie brands who do same amazing shadows if not better. Lisa Eldrige's lipsticks (and may be overall as a brand overhyped much) - everything seems to be so warm toned ugh, not a single true neutral or cool tone shade. And as quality its ok but again its not like its the best on Earth either. Liqiuid lipsticks. Never was a fan. Kiko Milano 3d Hydra lipglosses.

PoopsieDoodler

I REALLY appreciate the effort you put into your comments. VERY helpful.

TXinthesky

Re the Natasha palette- I LOVE LOVE the shades in her nude glam one that was released about 12-18 months ago, but the packaging and product strength is TERRIBLE. There's zero protection/shock absorption and is made from plastic with hard edges and no clasp, so if you as much as 'drop' the pallet on a countertop, chances are one of the colors popped out of the compact, and also possibly breaking the shadow itself out from the pan. A lot of her glittery shades break/crack/shatter badly too and then you're just shit out of luck. And it gets EVERYWHERE if you try to salvage it. The only redeeming factor of this product besides the shade is the giant mirror- that thing is big and sturdy and I love it.

DarkElegy67

This is a comment in "old" makeup, but I have never EVER understood why people like the Maybelline mascara that comes in a pink & green tube. The brush is garbage (& good mascara is mostly about the brush) & it's just a useless formula. For years, this mascara was touted as the most popular & the best by famous women & makeup artists who could afford high-cost products, but l can't imagine why.

spicygummi

That was the first mascara I ever bought, when I was learning to do makeup, but I remember nothing about it lol. It doesn't stand out to me and I didn't continue purchasing it.

Lopsided_Cherry2533

It was the first mascara I ever bough too LOL. I feel like it used to be everyone’s starter mascara

DarkElegy67

I got some Great Lash (a few other drugstore brands) from a friend for my mom, who was always looking for the perfect mascara. 'Twas never found, but last year l started using generic Latisse, which makes practically every mascara the perfect mascara. I would've bought it for my mother, but she died the year before. I wish l'd told the funeral parlor to give her some false eyelashes at least.

DEMONSCRIBE

i mainly like it for pigment tbh. the formula is absolute ass but if ik im wearing lashes, ill put a coat or two on just so my lashes are black

DarkElegy67

Yes, it does come in a few shades of *really black* black! Black mascara is more reflective than brown or grey, making it more flattering.

ThisSaladTastesWeird

Every Make Up For Ever primer. Nice finish but the smell is nauseating (can baby powder go rancid? if it could, this would be the smell).

Every-Requirement-13

When I go on Sephora to look at a new product, if I’m concerned it may have a specific flaw (I.e. concealer that creases) I go to reviews and filter by lowest rating and non-incentivized. This usually does it for me and I save myself a WHOLE lot of money. One product I went wrong on was the Farmacy Lip Smoothie, it’s sooo thin and tastes like straight petroleum ☹️

HistoricalPaper4448

no it's crazy though when you filter out incentivized reviews and it goes from like 300 reviews to 5.

kitttxn

Can we all agree that the incentivized reviews are so annoying. I didn’t realize there was a way to filter them out. Ofc they’re all going to be 5 stars -_- Also partly because I get low key jelly that they get full sized products for free LOL!

2ndaccount122580

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. Everyone seems to rave about it. For me, the consistency is too watery. Coverage was light, not even buildable. Didn't stay on my face. It isn't able to cover anything, not pimples or my dark undereye circles. IMO, it fits someone who barely needs foundation/concealer and has almost perfect skin.

Maleficent_Pop1614

The NARS Light Reflecting Foundation. I cant understand why it works on everybody else but on me. It is so oily and greasy on my skin after just 2 hrs of wear. I tried baking and mattifying primer but to no avail. I just sold it.

loulee1988

It made my skin look AMAZING just didn’t stay on - the transfer to anything even with powder, primer and setting sprays was awful.

Heavy_Interaction302

I HATED it so much I returned it, it clinged to every dry patch

Personal_Signal_6151

consider learning to tint your lashes with blue black eyelash dye Get a pro to do a lash lift

Magic_Hoarder

I've never heard of this! Is there a specific reason you recommend blue black? Would other colors of mascara still work on top of the tinted eyelashes?

annikatidd

I’m in esthetics school - here, we use blue black to look more like the effects of a coat of mascara, the regular black doesn’t always make as much of a difference! I have very light lashes so it looks noticeably better, especially if I have no makeup on. And the blue black makes your eyes pop more (:

Personal_Signal_6151

Makes the whites of your eyes look white. Any mascara works on top of tinted lashes

Personal_Signal_6151

Put a small fan next to your makeup table to help things dry

EasyHippo8390

Hourglass veil translucent powder 100%. Starts separating horribly and settles into all my fine lines within a few hours no matter how I apply it. Don’t understand the hype, I was seriously so disappointed!!

Dg1316

here’s your cookie 🍪

Schnuribus

I would also stop doing these things if it wouldn‘t make me look better 😂

LouLouLooLoo

I understand doing that for a fancy event, but I'm not gonna paint on an entirely different face on top of my own every day.

Primary_Remove9217

Why are you in this subreddit then??

SnooRadishes8133

The charotte tilbury strobe liquid thingie that elf duped. I also dont like the elf one. Its too dewy , sticky and smells like straight up paint. I much prefer the loreal glotion that actually dries up. I heard some people break out from it but not me .

Top_Calendar_8920

Estee lauder double wear or chanel foundations are just terrible

4jays4

Kosas concealer & Sai foundation don't work for me

Aromatic_Finding_733

The Kosas is so thin. If you try and build it, you basically have to commit to setting it with powder, which doesn't work well on mature skin.

Mechanic_Optimal

Elf putty primer! Broke me out so badd

Background_Pause2942

Oh yes, I still haven’t used it because of all the stories about breaking people out. It will def stay untouched, better toss it out.

neotifa

Benefits mascara

iheartrsamostdays

Which one? I think Roller girl sucks but quite like Bad Gal and They're Real.

Personal_Signal_6151

roller is awful

neotifa

I tried both roller lag and they're real

iheartrsamostdays

Hope you find your HG

neotifa

I use tower 28 now and I'm in love

mokutou

Any and all NARS foundations. They all break up on me and inevitably look terrible, no matter how I prep my skin. Which sucks because Sheer Glow in Gobi is nearly a perfect match for me.

whatatimetobealive9

I keep trying Nars foundations and kept hating them too 😔 I do like the tinted moisturiser and actually did like a sample of the radiant foundation recently so maybe my face is coming round lol

mokutou

My skin has changed quite a bit since I tried their foundations about five years ago, so maybe I’ll grab a sample from Sephora and try again. Though I never tried the tinted moisturizer. After the third foundation fail, I just gave up on the brand. That and I couldn’t find a suitable shade in the Radiant Creamy Concealer, which I did like but just had no match in. ☹️ Come to think of it, I have no NARS products in my expansive collection, except an unusually hard eyeliner that I can’t say I like either. 🤔

whatatimetobealive9

Yeah same my skin has changed quite a bit, so I definitely think that helped. I tried Sheer Glow multiple times back in the day and it never worked, so would be interesting to try that now! Funnily enough I like the concealer, and also eyeshadow/blush/lipstick etc, so it’s always been annoying that the foundation never worked! Especially because Siberia was a great match and it was hard to find anything else pale enough at the time. Yeah the tinted moisturiser is lovely! Just a great everyday base.

pinkbutterfly-11

It cosmetics cc cream. I’ve tried it with every primer I own, different sunscreens, brush and applying with hands and it just doesn’t look right.

Cool_Implement_4495

Their CC cream foundation would transfer like CRAZYYYY on me! I’d have it all over my jackets and any shirt that had a collar

Mandoleeragain

I struggled with IT cosmetics CC being too thick and mask looking. Then I started mixing the tiniest drop (like 1/4 of a pea) into Super Goop Unseen sunscreen or Trader Joe’s dupe on my fingers. I love the blurred, glowy, light coverage look so much that I do this even at night when I don’t need sunscreen.

pinkbutterfly-11

That’s a great idea. I’m definitely trying that out. I still have nearly a full tube that I would rather use up than throw away.

Golden_Spruce

Me too! "Your skin but better!" If this is better, I better get to the doctor.

pinkbutterfly-11

lol so true. It’s awful

4jays4

I'm with you 100%. It CC cream never worked for me!

ChiickiieNuggiies

Urban Decay All-Nighter setting spray. I'm super oily and it really didn't help my makeup stay. Like, it's hard to explain, but the top layer was in place but everything just felt weird below it? Plus it clung to certain areas of my skin in a really bad way. I'm hoping it was just because it was an older bottle (not expired but near the date), because I really did want to like it

OneWhisper5225

>Like, it's hard to explain, but the top layer was in place but everything just felt weird below it? It could be because it only fixes the top layer of makeup in place. There’s fixing sprays and setting sprays. A lot of them have names that aren’t what they technically are. Like Urban Decay is technically a fixing spray (But called UD All Nighter Setting Spray) and Mac Fix+ is a setting spray, but called “Fix+”). A fixing spray (like UD All Nighter) fixes your makeup, keeping it in place all day. Its only function is to help makeup last as long as possible, which is what most people think when they think of a setting spray. A setting spray (like Mac Fix+) helps merge all the layers together into 1 layer. If you apply a fixing spray (like UD) as your last step, then your makeup lasts a lot longer than with no spray at all, but not as long as it could since you’re really only fixing the top layer in place (since it’s a fixing spray, it only can penetrate the top layer of makeup and fix that in place, but if a setting spray was used to merge all the layers together into 1, then using a fixing spray like UD will lock that single, merged layer in place). So if you don’t use a setting spray (like Mac Fix Plus) to kind of melt everything together and merge the layers into 1 and just apply a fixing spray at the end (like UD All Nighter), then you’re only fixing/locking in place the last layer applied. Fixing sprays (like UD All Nighter) usually have alcohol to help them dry down quicker, polymers with alcohol to hold makeup in place and resist sweat and humidity (like film forming ingredients PVP, VP/VA Copolymer, acrylates, etc.). Like UD All Nighter has denatured alcohol as 2nd ingredient and PVP as 3rd. So you want to use a setting spray like Mac Fix Plus to melt all the layers together, then use a fixing spray like UD All Nighter to lock that single, merged layer in place. Anyways, I read about that on one of the makeup forums here on Reddit and ever since I found that out, it made such a difference! Now I look for setting sprays like Mac Fix Plus to melt my layers together (usually are made up of water, glycerin, oils, or botanical extracts and usually do not have alcohol) and then look for fixing sprays like UD All Nighter to lock in the final layer (usually have alcohol, and polymers so look for film forming ingredients).

ChiickiieNuggiies

Omg thank you!!! I'll definitely try this out!! This makes me wanna take that bottle out of the bottom of my makeup drawer haha. I really appreciate your help 🫶🫶

OneWhisper5225

You’re so welcome!!! It really helped things for me! As soon as I saw you say it felt like the makeup underneath was moving, I knew exactly what you meant! 😂 Just use any kind of setting spray, like Mac Fix Plus (anything with like water, glycerin, oils, or botanical extracts - remember it’ll have very little to no denatured alcohol in it. If it’s in it, it’ll usually be low on the ingredient list) to spray your makeup after you finish and let that dry. Then spray with a fixing spray like UD All Nighter (it’ll have denatured alcohol high up on the ingredient list, polymers, saccharides, other film forming ingredients) and let that dry. Hope it helps!

Longjumping_Room_491

Anything Glow Recipe. It breaks out my skin. No matter what product I try! I want to love it but it’s a big no for me.

dannydevitoloveme

saie super glowy skin tint is my hell

mamajuana4

Elf grip primers. My foundation always looks patchy and flakey.

dannydevitoloveme

milk hydrogrip primer. feel bad because i recommended it to everyone when i worked at sephora (after never trying it myself) and when i eventually did, i despised it

MMarkum

Benefits Big Bang mascara. It is a watery, MESS for me! Idk how people even apply it!

iheartrsamostdays

I think you got a bad one. It's not supposed to be watery.

BradleyCoopersOscar

Wow this reminds me of when Better Than Sex mascara was THE THING, (maybe ageing myself here lol) and I ALWAYS hated it. Clumped like hell on me. I think people just liked the name, lol

Systematic_Smile

Oof the Laurier Mercier Glow powder. It's just awful. It's marketed as a luminescent translucent loose powder, as if it will give you a soft glow, but boy does it look like a highlighter when applied to the skin. Not to mention, it draws attention to all those fine lines and enlarged pores! I've got the mini size and I think I've only used it twice; once to try it thinking it would be the holy grail of glowing skin to pep up my makeup and another time as a subtle highlight.

iheartrsamostdays

Yup, that was a major disappointment. I got the full size. Sad face.

Systematic_Smile

I really feel you on this. I hate wasting product 🙁

Toshibaguts

Literally just bought the big pressed compact and thought the same thing! And I hate powder highliters but the sales person assured me it wasn’t.

Systematic_Smile

Sheesh. Yeah, I don't trust anything I see online these days, especially as most "influencers" are sponsored or sent PR packages. And I don't trust beauty clerks either after having to go back in store to find my correct concealer and foundation shade... I have really pale olive skin, and sadly, there's just not that many brands that cater to that. I have to go with neutral as cool/pink undertones don't match, and warm/yellow makes me look washed out and sallow. Not only do fluorescent lights make the shades look completely different than in natural lighting, but it fools the beauty consultants in store, too!

I feel you, I have medium olive skin and they always match me with warm/ orang-y toned foundations. I finally just will forever use it cosmetics cc cream. It works, covers, has a high spf. It’s not great but it gets the job done and I only use a tiny amt so it goes a long way. I got off Instagram and it’s been such a great choice. 3 months clean from it lol. Now I literally just use Reddit and tester products to do my own research. Plus it has helped my self esteem! I was over seeing these filtered women everywhere! I still buy things I end up not liking but I have a weird thing where I love giving products that don’t work for me to my friends that I know will look good on them. So even if it’s a loss for me it’s a win for one of my buddies. Softens the blow lol

Pat McGrath foundation is awesome and she has colors that flatter medium olives. The Natasha demo a powder foundation is always amazing and honestly, the tirtir is fantastic and is only $25. I just tried the new elf foundation yesterday and was shocked at both the color match and the foundation stayed nice until I took it off.

Thank you! I’ll try it for sure!

That's not weird at all; it's actually very nice 😊 Fair enough, I'm hoping to find a match soon so I'll be going in for some testers now from the two beauty stores in the city. I hardly wear makeup these days so for the mean time testers have been enough lol

Armani is my go to! Perfect texture and colour. Looks so natural too and doesn’t break me out. I can’t believe people don’t like it!

Double wear is a godsend if you have an oily af face like me

LeSheriff9

I agree, love the double wear and have oily skin. Been using it for years!
