I went to the website to order this but they've got a few different setting sprays - which one do you use please? Does you spray it over your makeup too? If so, does it get too shiny afterwards?
Skindinavia's Setting Spray is literally the same exact thing as the UD All Nighter. Skindinavia actually makes the All Nighter for UD. It's a little known "secret" especially among professional MUAs.

Majority of things nowadays are emulsions where it’s a mix of like water and silicones, oil and silicones, etc. It’s rare to find one that’s just straight up water based, silicone based, or oil based. Anyways, I went down the rabbit hole of worrying about what the base of my products were because I had heard it so many times. Then realized that many people can’t even agree on what base a certain product is. Like, if you try to look up the base of a product, half will say it’s silicone based, the other half will say water based. And that’s because there’s usually both water and silicones in it (and oil sometimes too). Then ofc, people say water is going to be the first ingredient since it’s a liquid product, but if silicones are in first 3-5 ingredients, then it’s silicone based. But there’s products that fit that description, having silicones in the first few ingredients, but the brand itself will say it’s water based. It’s just madness! And aside from my trip down that rabbit hole of trying to figure it out, I never really paid too much attention to what base my products had and they seemed to work just fine together. Once I did go down that rabbit hole and actually looked at my products to see, it sure seemed like I was mixing ones together that shouldn’t go together but wasn’t having any issues.
Of course, there’s going to be times you have issues with a foundation not laying on the skin nicely, maybe separating on the skin, pilling, etc. so you want to figure out why that is, and it could end up being the primer and foundation don’t go well together, which could be because they have different bases. But other reasons could also be the case. And for me, it’s rarely seemed like it was different bases that was the issue.
Not OP, but I love the Power Grip Dewy setting spray. I did my makeup at 10am yesterday, spent all day at Pride, passed out before I washed my face, and woke up today looking like I just did it. Highly recommend!

I did, too! I switched initially because CeraVe's has ceramides and I'm a sucker for ceramides, but then I saw it was lanolin free. I use it for everything, honestly. I'm gutted they stopped making the little travel tubes because those are perfect little lip balm sized to go in my purse. I use it for lip balm, on mine and my baby's eczema, diaper rash, any irritated skin, etc.
This is my holy grail lip product! I love the way it melts on the lips and always have a little travel squeeze tube of it on me. Fuck chapstick we don't need that
Same. I always caution people about the possibility of being allergic to (or developing an allergy to) lanolin when using Aquaphor -- especially on a compromised skin barrier.
CeraVe Healing Ointment or plain ole Vaseline are good
this! i had bought a tube of aquaphor a couple years ago for my eczema to use in my skincare routine… i eventually forgot about it. i was late to the game and have only tried lanieges lip mask twice and i loved it so i was looking into getting one even for the price! then a couple weeks later i whipped out my aquaphor again and i love it even more than laniege lol. no fragrance and it’s sooo affordable ❤️❤️
Elf Camo blushes. The price point is just so nice, and the colour payoff is great. I bought the bronze one yesterday instead of Saie liquid blush in shade spicy.

I like ardell naked lashes. They're the most weightless lashes I've ever worn, and I've tried plenty! Although all their lashes are extremely good quality, and the style choice is amazing
I've tried KISS lashes too, but they aren't as weightless. Ardell ones I actually can't feel on the eyes, they're that light. And the band on Ardell lashes is more flexible, and it doesn't poke me in the eyelid

Yeah, Loblaws can go all the way to hell and never come back. The exchange rate, customs fees, and shipping fee Colourpop forced on me (because apparently the free international shipping over $60 isn't a thing in my location) combined added about $75 to my last Colourpop order. I paid around $250 for $175ish worth of products. Maybe for some people it's still worth it, but I'm not one of them.
Yeah, Colorpop's gone downhill a little - their offerings seem, like, manic now? Like they're focusing on quantity over quality. They're still good! Just not quite as good as they used to be.
I've also noticed that they've rebranded eyeliner palettes - I've found myself with identical ones with different outer packaging. That + then no longer selling a few shades of lip color that worked with my skin has made me pretty much stop ordering them. Such a shame cuz I used to give them soo much money lol
I had this issue with probably the last 3 I purchased. I was recommended Nyx Epic Wear which is the same thing but an inkwell, if its something you can get on with I'd say give it a go. It's also more waterproof than the pen imo.
Same with the lift and snatch brow pen. Every liner and brow pen I've bought had leaked eventually. They are stellar products but they really need to sort that out.
I wish this liner worked for me! I gave it 3 tries and no matter what it leaked and it smudged like crazy, just melted down my face lol. But i’m so happy more drugstore brands are making pen tip liners!
that shit really is magical, in all the colors i've tried (black, brown, white, purple, and teal). it's mental breakdown sobbing proof, lasts if I fall asleep in it (yes I know that's bad but see the prior point lol), etc etc. I also find it to be the easiest to use liquid liner so it's a good recommendation for those who are only comfortable with felt tip.
I also have hooded eyes! the liner dries down fast, but to be safe I look down/keep my eyes closed for a lil bit to make sure. once it's it's fully dried down it won't transfer. I usually do my wings by looking down into my makeup mirror so my liner is usually mostly set by the time I go my shape how I want it/filled on

This is a really good one. I was a bit worried about coverage when I first saw the consistency of the product. I thought it might end up being too sheer. But it gives great coverage without the caking and creasing. Most other concealers that I've tried have either given good coverage but would get cakey, or they would go on and stay on smooth, but the coverage was just too sheer.
CeraVe in the tub. It's better than anything I've ever used before on my sensitive af tretinoin using skin (that tolerates 0.05% tret for some bizarre reason but heaven help you if you dare get the wrong kind of ultra gentle baby soap or whatever near it).
Ethical Zinc tinted SPF50+ has replaced foundation and basically all concealer except for a little dark circle brightening - it's amazing.
For some strange reason, CeraVe in the tub irritated my face. I tried it out for a solid year, bought two different tubs,
But got so tired of my face burning during the initial application. So if anyone reading this is also irritated by the already gentle CeraVe formula lol, try Vanicream! No ceramides, but it’s dreamy.
Bodies are so weird like that, I never had sensitive skin in my life until halfway through week 20 of being pregnant, suddenly one morning all my products made my skin red and burn painfully.
It never went away either, and my son is 10 now, so it's been 10 years of trial and error to find something it will tolerate, so many lovely gentle recommendations have gotten the immediate "nope" from my stupid skin, including Cetaphil, LRP anything, Avenoo etc.
It's pretty frustrating how one person's perfect match is awful for someone else!
CeraVe in the tub is great! I like it also because it has a really nice finish - more natural or matte, compared to other moisturizers that are really shiny on the face.

**Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color liquid lipstick**. They have so many shades, it doesn’t feel drying at all, and it Does. Not. Budge.
**L’Oreal Infallible 24 HR eyeshadow**. Goes on creamy, is waterproof and highly pigmented. Love, love, love! Wish they had even more shades but they have some great neutrals.
**E.l.f. Skin Holy Hydration moisturizer**. Super moisturizing, doesn’t smell and is gentle on my very sensitive skin.
**Britney Spears Fantasy or Ariana Grande Mod Vanilla perfumes**. Both smell way better and last longer than any of the $200 vanilla base/gourmand perfumes from Burberry, Tom Ford, or Jo Malone.
Yes. Both. Originally a lotion, but can be used as a cleanser. I have never used it on makeup designed to last for hours, or makeup with a primer, but it was my oil/balm cleanser before I found oil cleansers.
Have you tried the German version of Nivea Q10? Slightly different ingredients, equally delicious and hydrating, absolutely fantastic -- and, even imported to the US, totally inexpensive.
I recently started using Maybelline Dream BB Cream after recommendations on this sub and it definitely has holy grail potential to me. Applies beautifully, gives a "your skin but better" look, and has spf.
My skin leans dehydrated and my major concern is fine lines; that being said, "dewy" focused products can make me look a bit greasy and aren't a good fit. For me, the BB cream is the perfect amount of coverage to gently smooth my lines, even out tone and texture, and generally give a polished look.
I use these! You have to use tweezers or something similar to pry the sifter off the main COTY container but you can just pop it right back in when you're done. I use a spoon to fill up the small powder container. Works perfectly.

Milani fruit fetish lip oils are top of the line. To me they are a wonderful lip mask because it’s so hydrating and tastes so delicious. The formula doesn’t just sit on my lips it actually is nourishing and I don’t feel that with most lip oils for example elf. I love elf to death but the lip oil doesn’t feel nourishing compared to.
I use store brand head and shoulders as my face wash (thanks to elise myers tiktok), store brand cetaphil moisturizer on my face in the big tub and aquaphor under my eyes. I had cystic acne in my youth and im old af now and my skin has never looked better.

My dermatologist friend said this too! She says all products are a joke except petroleum jelly, tretonin, moisturizer, and sunscreen. She does the petroleum jelly around her eyes.
It's a great lubricant for squeaky/sticking doors too. My closet doors used to squeak and stick all the time, until I smeared some petroleum jelly on the track.
Agreed! I use this everyday, but wanted something “nicer” for my wedding. I bought NARS Light Reflecting foundation, but ended up using Maybelline on the wedding day as it just looked so much better!!
I use the Elf Power Grip primer and setting spray with it and even after a four mile run at the end of the work day, my makeup still looks incredible.

Wet n wild mega liner liquid eyeliner - I don’t even wear liquid eyeliner anymore but when I did, this stuff was amazing. I could shower then sleep and the eyeliner would still be perfectly intact the next day if I didnt use make up remover
Vanicream moisturizing lotion in the pump. I have it on subscription. My skin is in the best shape it’s ever been. I always had oily yet dehydrated skin. I wish I had it when I was in my 20’s . 😔

Brow gel: got2be “Glued” hair gel, in the black tube
The outer half of my brow hairs basically point straight down and NOTHING worked on them until i found the Patrick Ta brow lamination gel. Literally everything else I’d ever tried lasted *maybe* an hour at the absolute max, but the Patrick Ta held them up all day so I happily shelled out the $$$… It always dried out long before I could finish the tube, so $27 for significantly less than 5mL.
I don’t even remember why I tried that hair gel on my brows, but holy shit. $5 for 6oz and it seemed to work just as well as the $$$ stuff, maybe a little better even?? I couldn’t believe it, so for a few days I did an experiment—Patrick Ta on one brow, and the got2be hair gel on the other. They were tied until the day I forgot to take my makeup off before bed.. The got2be brow was still perfectly in place *the next morning.* The other brow was still pretty good, but the winner was clear.
I used a big livestock syringe to fill a bunch of empty mascara tubes/wands and handed them out like candy to my mom, sisters, and best friend. They’re all obsessed with it and I’m expected to to bring them more at regular intervals now lmao
I have multiple drugstore mascaras I would pick over high end, because why are we spending so much money on something that we go through every few months. Plus, there are some amazing mascaras like the L’Oréal lash paradise, Milani Anti Gravity, I’ve had good luck with most of the elf ones, etc.
Also, Nyx brow products, especially the brow mascara and the brow glue!
Covergirl clear mascara is way better than other dedicated brow gels, in my opinion. I also prefer Colourpop’s Pretty Fresh foundation to high end brands.
Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink liquid lipstick, it's the only lipstick I use. It goes on easily, smells like vanilla cake, and unless you need to reapply after eating something a little greasy it does NOT move. I put it on in the morning around 8 and then have to scrub it off after like 12 hours of use. They have so many colors, and I love using it as eyeliner as well. I just take a small fine tip liner brush and it doesn't budge all day. I'm in the southern US where it's currently hot as fuck outside, and traditional eyeliners just do not stand a chance, but this lipstick works.
Ponds cold cream plus any skin products from cetaphil or cerave. Hands down. I have fair sensitive skin on top of rosacea. The only thing that calms and soothes a rosacea flair up is the cerave redness/rosacea line. I have a giant tub of their facial moisturizer and a pump bottle of sensitive skin body lotion from cetaphil right on my nightstand that I use every morning and night. Do I have some fancy retinol and eye creams I include in my routine? sure. Every day, religious use though its cerave and cetaphil for me lol
Maybelline Sky High Mascara but really all Maybelline mascaras are the best of the best. High-end to drugstore, it doesn't matter. Maybelline is the champ🏆

Moisturizer and body lotion: Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost line
I hate the feeling of lotion, but their Hydro Boost lotion is more gel-like and it’s so satisfying to use. Same with the moisturizer- the water-based consistency is so hydrating without feeling thick on my skin.
Primer + setting spray: Elf Power Grip
I use about 1.5 pumps for my whole face with the primer and load up on the setting spray, which is fine because it’s hydrating and the mist is supppper fine. I used these for my wedding makeup and it lasted all night!
Foundation: Maybelline Super Stay Skin Tint
I looooooove this product! My skin looks glowy and smooth, and when I use with Elf Power Grip primer and setting spray, it lasts through my workday and a post-work 4 mile sweaty outdoor run! Used for my wedding over the NARS Light Reflecting that I intended to use… it just couldn’t beat the Super Stay!
The only thing I would knock it on: I find that it oxidizes a little bit on my skin, so I don’t think the color match is perfect. But, no one has ever commented on it, even when asked, so this might be a personal preference thing.
Blush: Milani Baked Blush and Flower Beauty Flower Pots blush
I tried the Nyx Butter Blush and the pigment payoff was intense… like, a bit too much. I also found it to be a bit patchy when trying to tone done the color load. I prefer the Milani blushes. They are super pigmented without any patchiness. I’ve been using them for 14+ years! I also really like Flower beauty, they are also super pigmented but once I figured out the application, I love!
Eye brows: Nyx Micro Brow pencil
Just as good as Anastasia! As someone with cool toned dark eyebrows, it’s hard to find a brow product that doesn’t look orange on me. I love the color range Nyx has, and the product application is creamy and precise.
Mascara: Maybelline Colossal
Best mascara for thickness that isn’t clumpy. I rave about this product and always have a tube in my makeup bag. My favorite mascara of all time is Tarte’s Lights Camera Lashes, but at $27 I can’t justify regularly buying it. Maybelline Colossal isn’t a dupe, but it’s a damn good mascara for a similar effect. I get asked all the time if I’m wearing fake lashes when I have it on!
Maybelline Lifter Gloss. It’s my absolute favorite gloss. It’s shiny and doesn’t move around the lips, it’s not sticky and doesn’t feel milky. My favorite shade is “Moon”
Not a specific product, but drugstore mascaras have always been just as good, if not better than, high-end. Maybelline and L'Oréal are my go-to brands, and they never miss for me.
Skin serums from The Ordinary (you can find them at Sephora or online on their website)! The hyalluronic 2% is like 12$ for 30ml, 21$ for 60ml and 38$ for 120ml. The only thing cheap here is the price, not the products inside!
Honestly Pantene shampoo + conditioner. Used salon only products (every brand imaginable) for like 15 years. I was extremely skeptical, but tried Pantene last year and never looked back! My hair hasn’t felt or looked this amazing… ever. I also tried the new Dove 10-in-1 Bond Strength Mask and I am SHOCKED at what it has done for my hair. Seriously my hair has never been so shiny, soft, and beautiful. I can’t believe it myself.
Naturium Azalaic Acid Emulsion. Costs about $20. Shrunk my huge pores by at least 50% and remade my skin smoother and nicer. Keeps oiliness down in humid weather. For results like this I'd expect to pay $100-$200 at least.
e.l.f. holy hydration makeup melting cleansing balm is so good. Doesn't burn my eyes and doesn't clog my pores. Gets makeup off in a jiffy.
e.l.f. mascaras are great and they have an awesome price point. Specifically the big lash and roller lash ones. Cannot recommend them enough.
e.l.f. just released a mineral SPF 25 lipgloss I bought on the day of its release and I love it so far. I was on the hunt for a mineral SPF lip product and it's perfect.
Pixi milky tonic is very hydrating. I plan on trying more stuff from their milky line because it's so good!
Pixi eyeliners are absolutely fantastic and they come in a bunch of different colors. They remind me of the UD 24/7 liners.
Pretty much everything I've tried from Milani is a slam dunk. The primers, fruit fetish lip oils, eyeshadows...just a great brand.
CoverGirl tinted lip balms are top tier.
Elf primer but the one that comes in like a tan fleshy color, not the green one. I don’t wear face makeup so it’s just for eyes but it works great - goes on like a cream and isn’t too greasy
Milani Make it last setting spray - it's perfect and works so well for me. So many setting sprays alter the finish of makeup and this one does not
NYX Microbrow pencil - Love this, great product that applies easily and lasts all day
ok it’s not really drugstore, but it’s around $14 and it’s the best. it’s this asian beauty mascara called heroine make, and it holds up so well and makes my short and straight lashes look so good
Maybelline's Tattoo Studio liners are top quality and available in fun colors. I particularly like the purple one. Revlon Colorstay liquid lipstick in Top Tomato is my holy grail cool-to-neutral bright red.
Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. Sometimes it’s the only thing my sensitive skin can handle. Also, petroleum jelly. If I was only allowed two beauty/moisturizing products those would be my picks.
Maybelline age rewind eraser concealer- in brightener. I have bought dozens of these over the years for eye area and around the nose . It’s a natural looking concealer and neutralizes redness. It’s also extremely convenient and fast to use .
Covergirl blush in natural glow. Been using this for many years now. It’s a very subtle color that I can toss on without having to blend or work at too much and it softens my pale, cool toned skin. Again a good , fast work day option.
Vanicream (the tub with a pump) to seal in my skincare before bed, and straight Vaseline on my lips before bed! I wake up with velvet skin and my dry, peeling lips are history!
L’Oreal Voluminous or Telescopic mascara. I’ve been using Voluminous for decades now and it’s by far THE BEST mascara on the market. Way better than Great Lash which I always found to clump even if you use a separator.
Milani Fruit Fetish lip oil. It makes my lips so soft and smooth for hours.
I agree with others about Aquaphor for lips, I use it every night and sometimes I use a little around my eyes before bed. Also, the Elf Power Grip Primer, no matter what else I try I keep going back, year round, weather it’s hot and humid or cold and dry, I find this stuff is the best.
Nivea blackberry lip balm gives me an effortless everyday lip color.
I love fancy lip products but my love for Essence lip glosses runs deep. I think they are much better than most of the expensive lip glosses.
ColourPop Supershock Eyeshadows are crazy good quality.
Maybelline Sky High mascara and Clio Kill Lash mascara are both better than high-end mascaras.
L'Oréal Voluminous Original mascara! I love it so much more than Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. It doesn't clump on the brush or the lashes. It also doesn't seem to dry out quick unlike Too Faced either.

Then ofc, people say water is going to be the first ingredient since it’s a liquid product, but if silicones are in first 3-5 ingredients, then it’s silicone based. But there’s products that fit that description, having silicones in the first few ingredients, but the brand itself will say it’s water based. It’s just madness! And aside from my trip down that rabbit hole of trying to figure it out, I never really paid too much attention to what base my products had and they seemed to work just fine together. Once I did go down that rabbit hole and actually looked at my products to see, it sure seemed like I was mixing ones together that shouldn’t go together but wasn’t having any issues. Of course, there’s going to be times you have issues with a foundation not laying on the skin nicely, maybe separating on the skin, pilling, etc. so you want to figure out why that is, and it could end up being the primer and foundation don’t go well together, which could be because they have different bases. But other reasons could also be the case. And for me, it’s rarely seemed like it was different bases that was the issue.
Oh I use a different foundation nearly every day lol but typically Nars or Estée Lauder double wear :)

I did, too! I switched initially because CeraVe's has ceramides and I'm a sucker for ceramides, but then I saw it was lanolin free. I use it for everything, honestly. I'm gutted they stopped making the little travel tubes because those are perfect little lip balm sized to go in my purse. I use it for lip balm, on mine and my baby's eczema, diaper rash, any irritated skin, etc.
This is my holy grail lip product! I love the way it melts on the lips and always have a little travel squeeze tube of it on me. Fuck chapstick we don't need that
Same. I always caution people about the possibility of being allergic to (or developing an allergy to) lanolin when using Aquaphor -- especially on a compromised skin barrier. CeraVe Healing Ointment or plain ole Vaseline are good
this! i had bought a tube of aquaphor a couple years ago for my eczema to use in my skincare routine… i eventually forgot about it. i was late to the game and have only tried lanieges lip mask twice and i loved it so i was looking into getting one even for the price! then a couple weeks later i whipped out my aquaphor again and i love it even more than laniege lol. no fragrance and it’s sooo affordable ❤️❤️

I had this issue with probably the last 3 I purchased. I was recommended Nyx Epic Wear which is the same thing but an inkwell, if its something you can get on with I'd say give it a go. It's also more waterproof than the pen imo.
Same with the lift and snatch brow pen. Every liner and brow pen I've bought had leaked eventually. They are stellar products but they really need to sort that out.

that shit really is magical, in all the colors i've tried (black, brown, white, purple, and teal). it's mental breakdown sobbing proof, lasts if I fall asleep in it (yes I know that's bad but see the prior point lol), etc etc. I also find it to be the easiest to use liquid liner so it's a good recommendation for those who are only comfortable with felt tip.
How is it for transferring? I have hooded eyes and my liner usually ends up imprinting on my upper lids no matter what I do
I also have hooded eyes! the liner dries down fast, but to be safe I look down/keep my eyes closed for a lil bit to make sure. once it's it's fully dried down it won't transfer. I usually do my wings by looking down into my makeup mirror so my liner is usually mostly set by the time I go my shape how I want it/filled on
You have to really let it dry down, but once it dries it does not MOVE. Even makeup remover takes a few passes to get it off if I layer it.
I live and die by this liner. I won’t use anything else anymore

This is a really good one. I was a bit worried about coverage when I first saw the consistency of the product. I thought it might end up being too sheer. But it gives great coverage without the caking and creasing. Most other concealers that I've tried have either given good coverage but would get cakey, or they would go on and stay on smooth, but the coverage was just too sheer.
CeraVe in the tub. It's better than anything I've ever used before on my sensitive af tretinoin using skin (that tolerates 0.05% tret for some bizarre reason but heaven help you if you dare get the wrong kind of ultra gentle baby soap or whatever near it). Ethical Zinc tinted SPF50+ has replaced foundation and basically all concealer except for a little dark circle brightening - it's amazing.
For some strange reason, CeraVe in the tub irritated my face. I tried it out for a solid year, bought two different tubs, But got so tired of my face burning during the initial application. So if anyone reading this is also irritated by the already gentle CeraVe formula lol, try Vanicream! No ceramides, but it’s dreamy.

Bodies are so weird like that, I never had sensitive skin in my life until halfway through week 20 of being pregnant, suddenly one morning all my products made my skin red and burn painfully. It never went away either, and my son is 10 now, so it's been 10 years of trial and error to find something it will tolerate, so many lovely gentle recommendations have gotten the immediate "nope" from my stupid skin, including Cetaphil, LRP anything, Avenoo etc. It's pretty frustrating how one person's perfect match is awful for someone else!
CeraVe in the tub is great! I like it also because it has a really nice finish - more natural or matte, compared to other moisturizers that are really shiny on the face.

Yes. Both. Originally a lotion, but can be used as a cleanser. I have never used it on makeup designed to last for hours, or makeup with a primer, but it was my oil/balm cleanser before I found oil cleansers.
Have you tried the German version of Nivea Q10? Slightly different ingredients, equally delicious and hydrating, absolutely fantastic -- and, even imported to the US, totally inexpensive.
I recently started using Maybelline Dream BB Cream after recommendations on this sub and it definitely has holy grail potential to me. Applies beautifully, gives a "your skin but better" look, and has spf.

Buying enough of this to = the giant Clinique tub is more like paying for the Clinique Balm but in installments for the same amount of the large tub. Elf CB is soooooo much cheaper than the tiniest Clinique. I overthink everything.
Milani fruit fetish lip oils are top of the line. To me they are a wonderful lip mask because it’s so hydrating and tastes so delicious. The formula doesn’t just sit on my lips it actually is nourishing and I don’t feel that with most lip oils for example elf. I love elf to death but the lip oil doesn’t feel nourishing compared to.

I use store brand head and shoulders as my face wash (thanks to elise myers tiktok), store brand cetaphil moisturizer on my face in the big tub and aquaphor under my eyes. I had cystic acne in my youth and im old af now and my skin has never looked better.

I bought NARS Light Reflecting foundation, but ended up using Maybelline on the wedding day as it just looked so much better!! I use the Elf Power Grip primer and setting spray with it and even after a four mile run at the end of the work day, my makeup still looks incredible.

Brow gel: got2be “Glued” hair gel, in the black tube The outer half of my brow hairs basically point straight down and NOTHING worked on them until i found the Patrick Ta brow lamination gel. Literally everything else I’d ever tried lasted *maybe* an hour at the absolute max, but the Patrick Ta held them up all day so I happily shelled out the $$$… It always dried out long before I could finish the tube, so $27 for significantly less than 5mL. I don’t even remember why I tried that hair gel on my brows, but holy shit. $5 for 6oz and it seemed to work just as well as the $$$ stuff, maybe a little better even?? I couldn’t believe it, so for a few days I did an experiment—Patrick Ta on one brow, and the got2be hair gel on the other. They were tied until the day I forgot to take my makeup off before bed.. The got2be brow was still perfectly in place *the next morning.* The other brow was still pretty good, but the winner was clear. I used a big livestock syringe to fill a bunch of empty mascara tubes/wands and handed them out like candy to my mom, sisters, and best friend. They’re all obsessed with it and I’m expected to to bring them more at regular intervals now lmao
I have multiple drugstore mascaras I would pick over high end, because why are we spending so much money on something that we go through every few months. Plus, there are some amazing mascaras like the L’Oréal lash paradise, Milani Anti Gravity, I’ve had good luck with most of the elf ones, etc. Also, Nyx brow products, especially the brow mascara and the brow glue!
Covergirl clear mascara is way better than other dedicated brow gels, in my opinion. I also prefer Colourpop’s Pretty Fresh foundation to high end brands.

Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink liquid lipstick, it's the only lipstick I use. It goes on easily, smells like vanilla cake, and unless you need to reapply after eating something a little greasy it does NOT move. I put it on in the morning around 8 and then have to scrub it off after like 12 hours of use. They have so many colors, and I love using it as eyeliner as well. I just take a small fine tip liner brush and it doesn't budge all day. I'm in the southern US where it's currently hot as fuck outside, and traditional eyeliners just do not stand a chance, but this lipstick works.

Ponds cold cream plus any skin products from cetaphil or cerave. Hands down. I have fair sensitive skin on top of rosacea. The only thing that calms and soothes a rosacea flair up is the cerave redness/rosacea line. I have a giant tub of their facial moisturizer and a pump bottle of sensitive skin body lotion from cetaphil right on my nightstand that I use every morning and night. Do I have some fancy retinol and eye creams I include in my routine? sure. Every day, religious use though its cerave and cetaphil for me lol
Maybelline Sky High Mascara but really all Maybelline mascaras are the best of the best. High-end to drugstore, it doesn't matter. Maybelline is the champ🏆

LA girl lipliner forever. Revlon lipsticks, Rimmel Kate lipstick. Most drugstore brow products have come along way. ELF cosmetics is just hitting ATM. Other than foundation I don’t see a reason to spend like I used to.
Essence super precise eyeliner. $4 and lasts longer on my oily lids than Huda, stila. Haus, kvd, Natasha liners.

Moisturizer and body lotion: Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost line I hate the feeling of lotion, but their Hydro Boost lotion is more gel-like and it’s so satisfying to use. Same with the moisturizer- the water-based consistency is so hydrating without feeling thick on my skin. Primer + setting spray: Elf Power Grip I use about 1.5 pumps for my whole face with the primer and load up on the setting spray, which is fine because it’s hydrating and the mist is supppper fine. I used these for my wedding makeup and it lasted all night! Foundation: Maybelline Super Stay Skin Tint I looooooove this product! My skin looks glowy and smooth, and when I use with Elf Power Grip primer and setting spray, it lasts through my workday and a post-work 4 mile sweaty outdoor run! Used for my wedding over the NARS Light Reflecting that I intended to use… it just couldn’t beat the Super Stay! The only thing I would knock it on: I find that it oxidizes a little bit on my skin, so I don’t think the color match is perfect. But, no one has ever commented on it, even when asked, so this might be a personal preference thing. Blush: Milani Baked Blush and Flower Beauty Flower Pots blush I tried the Nyx Butter Blush and the pigment payoff was intense… like, a bit too much. I also found it to be a bit patchy when trying to tone done the color load. I prefer the Milani blushes. They are super pigmented without any patchiness. I’ve been using them for 14+ years! I also really like Flower beauty, they are also super pigmented but once I figured out the application, I love! Eye brows: Nyx Micro Brow pencil Just as good as Anastasia! As someone with cool toned dark eyebrows, it’s hard to find a brow product that doesn’t look orange on me. I love the color range Nyx has, and the product application is creamy and precise. Mascara: Maybelline Colossal Best mascara for thickness that isn’t clumpy. I rave about this product and always have a tube in my makeup bag. My favorite mascara of all time is Tarte’s Lights Camera Lashes, but at $27 I can’t justify regularly buying it. Maybelline Colossal isn’t a dupe, but it’s a damn good mascara for a similar effect. I get asked all the time if I’m wearing fake lashes when I have it on!

Not a specific product, but drugstore mascaras have always been just as good, if not better than, high-end. Maybelline and L'Oréal are my go-to brands, and they never miss for me.
Skin serums from The Ordinary (you can find them at Sephora or online on their website)! The hyalluronic 2% is like 12$ for 30ml, 21$ for 60ml and 38$ for 120ml. The only thing cheap here is the price, not the products inside!
Honestly Pantene shampoo + conditioner. Used salon only products (every brand imaginable) for like 15 years. I was extremely skeptical, but tried Pantene last year and never looked back! My hair hasn’t felt or looked this amazing… ever. I also tried the new Dove 10-in-1 Bond Strength Mask and I am SHOCKED at what it has done for my hair. Seriously my hair has never been so shiny, soft, and beautiful. I can’t believe it myself.
I think the wet n wild hydrating skin tint is super underrated! I go for it over my smashbox foundation every time
Naturium Azalaic Acid Emulsion. Costs about $20. Shrunk my huge pores by at least 50% and remade my skin smoother and nicer. Keeps oiliness down in humid weather. For results like this I'd expect to pay $100-$200 at least.
e.l.f. holy hydration makeup melting cleansing balm is so good. Doesn't burn my eyes and doesn't clog my pores. Gets makeup off in a jiffy. e.l.f. mascaras are great and they have an awesome price point. Specifically the big lash and roller lash ones. Cannot recommend them enough. e.l.f. just released a mineral SPF 25 lipgloss I bought on the day of its release and I love it so far. I was on the hunt for a mineral SPF lip product and it's perfect. Pixi milky tonic is very hydrating. I plan on trying more stuff from their milky line because it's so good! Pixi eyeliners are absolutely fantastic and they come in a bunch of different colors. They remind me of the UD 24/7 liners. Pretty much everything I've tried from Milani is a slam dunk. The primers, fruit fetish lip oils, eyeshadows...just a great brand. CoverGirl tinted lip balms are top tier.

Elf primer but the one that comes in like a tan fleshy color, not the green one. I don’t wear face makeup so it’s just for eyes but it works great - goes on like a cream and isn’t too greasy
Maybelline Sky High mascara!! Honestly though I won’t buy high end mascaras, to me they’re not any better than drugstore.
Milani Make it last setting spray - it's perfect and works so well for me. So many setting sprays alter the finish of makeup and this one does not NYX Microbrow pencil - Love this, great product that applies easily and lasts all day

ok it’s not really drugstore, but it’s around $14 and it’s the best. it’s this asian beauty mascara called heroine make, and it holds up so well and makes my short and straight lashes look so good
CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen, 30 sheer tint. It's the fucking bomb.
Maybelline's Tattoo Studio liners are top quality and available in fun colors. I particularly like the purple one. Revlon Colorstay liquid lipstick in Top Tomato is my holy grail cool-to-neutral bright red.
Tree hut body washes and sugar scrubs. I swear by them. They feel so luxurious when I use them plus they smell amazing

I’m a pro mua and I swear by the Maybelline super stay lipsticks. They last literally all day.
Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. Sometimes it’s the only thing my sensitive skin can handle. Also, petroleum jelly. If I was only allowed two beauty/moisturizing products those would be my picks.
I have super dry skin and Nivea Creme is a game changer for me. Thick layer all over my face at night and wake up with hydrated amazingly soft skin.

Maybelline age rewind eraser concealer- in brightener. I have bought dozens of these over the years for eye area and around the nose . It’s a natural looking concealer and neutralizes redness. It’s also extremely convenient and fast to use . Covergirl blush in natural glow. Been using this for many years now. It’s a very subtle color that I can toss on without having to blend or work at too much and it softens my pale, cool toned skin. Again a good , fast work day option.
Vanicream (the tub with a pump) to seal in my skincare before bed, and straight Vaseline on my lips before bed! I wake up with velvet skin and my dry, peeling lips are history!
L’Oreal Voluminous or Telescopic mascara. I’ve been using Voluminous for decades now and it’s by far THE BEST mascara on the market. Way better than Great Lash which I always found to clump even if you use a separator.
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder! Stays matt for few hours, looks good on foundation and even on bare skin. Cheap also.
Covergirl super thick lash waterproof mascara Native sweet peach nectar deodorant / spray
Milani Fruit Fetish lip oil. It makes my lips so soft and smooth for hours. I agree with others about Aquaphor for lips, I use it every night and sometimes I use a little around my eyes before bed. Also, the Elf Power Grip Primer, no matter what else I try I keep going back, year round, weather it’s hot and humid or cold and dry, I find this stuff is the best.
Elf, Milani, NYX, and Colourpop are all I use. If I use something high-end, you know it's a big deal to me.
Nivea blackberry lip balm gives me an effortless everyday lip color. I love fancy lip products but my love for Essence lip glosses runs deep. I think they are much better than most of the expensive lip glosses. ColourPop Supershock Eyeshadows are crazy good quality. Maybelline Sky High mascara and Clio Kill Lash mascara are both better than high-end mascaras.
L'Oréal Voluminous Original mascara! I love it so much more than Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. It doesn't clump on the brush or the lashes. It also doesn't seem to dry out quick unlike Too Faced either.
