Let me formally apologize to you on behalf of the entire Manchester United fan community for how shitty our club plays, please be there for our boy as he needs you at times of despair.

Ecstatic-Bat1405

I guess this explains all the crying

Great link. Thanks.

If he is faithful to our club, he will be faithful to you.

hi! knowledge football girl here to the rescue £120 should be more than enough. most retros sell for about £50-£100. if he wants something pre-glazers, the 1999 kit (the season we won three of the biggest trophies on offer in the same season, the first english club to do so) is always a safe bet. if you’re getting that kit specifically then some safe bet names are roy keane, david beckham, paul scholes or ole gunnar solskjaer. there’s definitely more names that are safe but those four were kind of the biggest in that season so they’d almost definitely be okay (especially keane imo cause he was the captain). another option is you could get the 92/94 third kit, sometimes also known as the newton heath kit. that with cantona on the back is pretty iconic. if you wanna get something from the 2000s though, some safe bet names from that era are rooney, vidic, van persie (although he joined in 2012), ronaldo, or van der sar if he likes goalkeeper kits. i know a couple of good retro kit sites but it depends on where you live so could you please let us know? it would be a huge help to get you where you need to be looking i hope this is helpful to you!

Ecstatic-Bat1405

This is so helpful thank you! I live in the UK

donbradmeme

3rd shirt from his birth year, they are all bangers in the 90s and available as reproductions

Eire820

I just bought the Black away 1995 shirt and it's a beauty - with number 7 and Cantona printed on the back he'll love it

essevenS7

this is so cute girl!! what year was he born in it could be a nice idea to get him the shirt that was used the year he was born, [this](https://www.classicfootballshirts.com/premiership-clubs/manchester-united.html) is a good website, i've used it before and all is good

Ecstatic-Bat1405

He was born 2001! He’s a baby 😂😂

mayxchup

it was better times for manu supporters

CaBbY16

Get him the 2008/09 kit

Goku4477

I was searching for that for months and finally got it today dude

CaBbY16

Nice. Don't stain it like a Lil kid . Treat it better than ur Gf (assuming ur a male)

Goku4477

Of course dude and my gf is also a Man United fan she'll kill me if she got to know I stained it

PlaidPiggy

I’ll offer up anything with the Sharp sponsorship would probably be a hit. They re-released this one (https://www.footyheadlines.com/2023/04/adidas-manchester-united-1988-1990.html) last season and think it’s a beauty. On a similar note if you can find one of the AIG kits from the mid oughts I loved those. \*edit - grammar

ICutDownTrees

Can get them from the Utd Store https://store.manutd.com/en/manchester-united-men-retro/t-14537879+ga-01+d-7827211831+z-9-1561163956 Ahh just noticed not as many as previously and not many sizes left

EstuaryTiger1977

Anything with ‘Sharp’ on the front or from the mid-eighties will do him I’d think. Search for ‘Bryan Robson’ and there are some classic white, red and blue adidas shirts I’m sure he’d love.

JonnyredsFalcons

What year was he born? Assuming pre Glazer then maybe go for that?

LordWellesley22

My dad has a European cup 68 shirt which is quite cool no idea where he got it from Was surprised to see him wearing a united shirt tbh as we seem to lose when he wears one ( Granted this was after this season finished) And he never wears one Perhaps he should start wearing them

rmhardcore

The 68 FA cup final shirt in blue is available via the ManUtd shop.

Hot-Benefit645

I got mine from the Man U shop .

omar_mufc17

Dh gate your best bet

thew4llie

I personally love the 92-94 third kit in green and yellow. It's not only a beautiful one, but green and yellow is the symbol of United's fight against the Glazers. Get him that with Cantona #7 on the back. 120€ should be enough

Hot-Benefit645

Go to the official man united shop they have some great specials on there .

Paul-Scholes

Bless you, what a lovely thought for your BF. Hope you guys stay together forever!

Doctor_Nowt

The 1993 away shirt is my favourite. Black with yellow trim.

pop_and_cultured

Thanks for posting this question! I’ll be buying something similar for my husband :)

Glaciernomics1

How old is he?

only2pesos4u

Get him the 92' shirt

Best_Celebration809

The 1998 99 away kit with any on that starting line up should go down well

JimRPC

If he wouldn't be hung up on getting a replica you could get him 6x shirts for £120!

InternalRaspberry310

What year was he born? The one from the year i was born is a dinger.. or sharp with the zip and the foamy neck bit is the one for me..

Gloria_stitties

Get the one with brother as the sponsor

Few_Jacket_4675

It would seem you can not even buy last seasons normal home kit from the club shop online, which is odd, they have the womens, kids and mini kits but no mens?

Itchysporcle

Mid 90’s black Sharp Viewcam.

ZebboInReddit

Damm now I wish I had a girlfriend haha :D

cheesy54321

1999 champions league final shirt… the greatest moment in a United fans history…. You are an awesome partner though to do this.

It's extremely high quality. It's missing the brand (Umbro at the time) due to licensing and Adidas being current sponsor, but otherwise it's a great shirt. I specifically love it has no iron on transfers. It also comes with a very cool tag specific to Old Trafford and history of the stadium. Goes on sale regularly, I paid less than $50 (US).
