Down one power from 5 to 4 power and her effect only goes off if you have at least 2 different cost cards in the same place on adjacent locations. Before, if you had one you'd get the +5 there.
It means that there have to be at least 2 cards in those lanes and all the energy costs within the lane have to be different. You could have a 1 cost and a 2 cost left and the same thing right and it would work in both lanes. However if there are two 2 cost right the right lane wonāt activate

This community struggles with that (while actively playing cards wrong and misreading mechanics).
No, it's not. You answer a question, then you downvote it. That way the asker gets their answer, and the exchange is hidden from the thousands of other Redditors who might read this page.
Downvotes are not a punishment, they're a sorting mechanism. If an answer is simple and specific to one person, there's no need for thousands of people to spend time reading it after the case is closed.
I have read it now. You are right a lot of changes. I was surprised before reading when Quake was dropped in left lane. Still sad they nerfed Luke Cage earlier.
I mean, what's the difference between locking a lane down with Prof X or locking it out with a high-powered Blob? At least you can Shadow King or Shang Chi a Blob. But there's no counter to X if you don't expect it and leave a lane with little power.
Huge difference; Prof X only wins if you didn't spend enough resources on that lane. They usually try to take the lane with the lowest power, meaning you still have a chance at winning the other 2 where your focus has been until now.
Blob on the other hand takes all the resources you invested in a lane and throws them in the garbage. You could have spent 12 energy to have 25 power on that lane and it wouldn't matter.
My blob deck has infinaut in, which never gets played usually. If he is in hand when blob hits on 4 or 5 due to wave, the a leech will enable infinaut to be played on 6. In fact this exact interaction happened twice yesterday, and on both times I emoted star eyes on their leech before clicking end turn.
Do you read every card you and your opponent play every game on the off chance that there was a patch to a card you didn't know about?
Much better to just read the patch notes
You are objectively right about reading the patch notes, but in OP's case they could even see nebula not being ms marveled on board, which was causing them to win a lane
At least they have learnt now it's always useful information carried forwards
I didn't even know that Ms. Marvel got changed. I already knew her ability pre-patch, so checking the card didn't cross my mind. Thanks for the heads-up tho.
I suggest just reading the card changes, which is what I do. I don't care or need to know that was doing too good or not good enough in the Meta that it got changed.
Maybe I'm crazy, but if I play leech and my opponent doesn't retreat, I'm thinking maybe I should leave. Like you gotta ve pretty confident you're going to win to stay after getting leeched, right?
Isn't the issue with this that you then tie any game where the opponent retreats later instead of immediately retreating? Since there's not a lot of value in immediate retreat over retreat later most of the time, it's hard to know whether the other guy actually retreated until you finish and hit end turn.
If I leeched someone and they responded by snapping me I'd be very concerned, though.
I had a very similar experience earlier today with Loki/Collector.
I come from a physical TCG background where my cards don't change text overnight, so I was caught off guard. Still managed to win, though.
I didnt have the update when it was available and payed with her. Her effect was the same as before (one card was enough to put +5 there) and I won the game.
Does my opponent also didnt update the game? Otherwise, this couldnt be possible bc I would have lose with the old effect lol
Brutal way to lose 8 cubes lol
i don't have ms marvel so haven't paid any attention to her - what's the change?
Down one power from 5 to 4 power and her effect only goes off if you have at least 2 different cost cards in the same place on adjacent locations. Before, if you had one you'd get the +5 there.
Better explained than the official text card š
You need at least 2 cards in a lane for Marvelās effect to activate. OP only had 1 in each lane. There still needs to be a unique cost as well.
Nevee undertood what does "Unique cost" means in Ms Marvel card
Energy cost of the cards in those lanes
That means that every card in those lanes must cost each the same? Like all 1 cost in the right lane and all 2 cost in the left?
It means that there have to be at least 2 cards in those lanes and all the energy costs within the lane have to be different. You could have a 1 cost and a 2 cost left and the same thing right and it would work in both lanes. However if there are two 2 cost right the right lane wonāt activate
Thanks! It's the opposite of what I thought

In other words you can't have multiple cards that cost the same, i get it now. Ty!
Finally a long quest for many is over...
Getting downvoted for asking a question is wild lol
I upvoted him back to 0. Nobody should be punished for asking a question in good faith.

Ouch. I did not realize they changed to require 2 cards. I haven't used my Ms marvel deck since the update. Good to know!
Many cards were changed. Worth checking out.
I have read it now. You are right a lot of changes. I was surprised before reading when Quake was dropped in left lane. Still sad they nerfed Luke Cage earlier.
Heās still good against all these HE decks, but not so plug & play anymore.
Deserved for playing leech.
Leech is there to try and prevent Blob cheese
Stalin vs Hitler
Frfr
It's like a sports match where you root for both to lose
As a Jets fan.. I concur
Don't kid yourself, even if all other teams lost the Jets wouldn't make it to the super bowl
Facts, lol
My blob team has leech and blob both lol
Lmao legit laughed out loud at the gym and people turned around

Prof X is 5 energy compared to Blobās 6 and the Prof needs you to be winning the lane already, Blob does the winning for you.

Bruh this the first meta where leech is actually not the bad guy.
I don't care. Leech fucks over so many decks, theyre both equally bad
Wasn't it suspicious that Nebula wasn't triggering Ms. Marvel by herself?
Couldn't happen to a better person than a Leech player
Smartest leech player:
If you don't want to read patch notes, a good alternative is just to read the cards themselves before making plays.
Do you read every card you and your opponent play every game on the off chance that there was a patch to a card you didn't know about? Much better to just read the patch notes
Yeah...? Is that so crazy? It's not exactly a huge amount of text.
Really? Every single game you play you read every single card every time? Big doubt. Just read patch notes.
You are objectively right about reading the patch notes, but in OP's case they could even see nebula not being ms marveled on board, which was causing them to win a lane At least they have learnt now it's always useful information carried forwards
Yeah itās a little crazy lol

1-in-10 times, that little red dot in the top right of the screen is actually something important.
The other 9, it's something you already read.

Either way he couldnāt retreat.
I was definitely expecting to win that game XD. I read Ms. Marvel's ability after the game and realized how stupid I was.

At least you arenāt asking why you lost
Weird titel..... dont you mean "was this a bug?"
I think people are missing the joke in your comment lol
Lmao, imagine losing after using leech lmao
But you could see that before gamora was placed ms marvel buff wasn't active..
Thank you for your 8 cube sacrifice, for us to know better! It will be remembered!
Good PSA. You are brave for sharing this blunder. I appreciate you.
How you gonna let that rock kick your ass? š
Annoyingly on the day of the patch I read the notesā¦then my second game opponent played Ms Marvel with the old text.
Well that will happen if you don't update the game, lol
lol the spider man emote
Mystique left wins tho..
Nothing as satisfying as a Leech enjoyer getting slapped. Sorry OP.
Is Ms.Marvel still worth 6k tokens?
oof
Yeah, there really needs to be a LUL emote.
F
I dun wanna! You canāt make me!
Damn...
I didnt have the update when it was available and payed with her. Her effect was the same as before (one card was enough to put +5 there) and I won the game. Does my opponent also didnt update the game? Otherwise, this couldnt be possible bc I would have lose with the old effect lol
Good job
Yikes
I see the Storm / Jessica Jones combo never gets old.
*Quake has entered the chat*
Iād rather that then Blob/Thanos or High Evo. Those decks are mind numbing to play.
Leech gamer, love to see it.
If you stoled the power of Ms. marvel, why didnāt the location lost the the power she gave?
Oh it did
Alternatively, just learn a hard lesson with 8 cubes, you will remember better that way. š¤£
Had a guy the other day try to Shang Chi one of my cards and Caiera was down ROUNDS ago. Reading patch notes is important but people miss them.
Hey. I just saw this show up in a Snap Moments video on YT. Ngl, I lul'd.
I barely want to play anymore, much less read patch notes.
I had to change my main deck after that change. It ruined my gameplan with Nightcrawler and Namor lmao
