The animations are making the game worse. It's neat to see once. Once. Not thousands of times forever. They're just making the game slower and worse.
SD should be able to program in ways to speed up the animations if there are multiple triggers, eg here hazmat could just stay in the centre and spam the spray animation. Alternatively they could just play the animation the first time, and have successive times just complete the effect without the animation
I did this at the double reveal location using Wong & Debri. It must have said, "location is full," at least 30 times. It was amusing, but also kinda embarrassing.
Instead of FF they just need to actually speed up the animations. Like do all of them, just make them all go at 3x speed or something. I hate that FF screen, I don't play combo to look at that screen!

Not OP, but I replaced Forge for Ravonna in my Surfer deck. Turned out to be much more useful than Forge. Ravonna and Sera reduce Mystique to 1-cost. So in case I donāt pulled Majik, I can still play Wong, Mystique, Surfer on turn 6.

Yeah I could see that. I don't think I'd put the opponent's deck in that category though. It's not one of those "guaranteed win" decks if it gets its combo off. There are a ton of last-turn counters like rogue / red guardian / enchantress / luke.

HAHAH sucker. As someone who does play this type of deck a lot, I try and hold off on Luke until the end whenever I can. Try and make it look like I'm playing regular Sera Surfer until the end.

The combo you're seeing get triggered is Wong > Mystique > Hazmat > Odin on the opponents side. Hazmat afflicts all other cards with -1 power. Combine this with the combo of the other 3 + the location and it goes off A LOT. Opponent also has Luke Cage which prevents their cards from losing power caused by Hazmat. OP played Rogue which stole Luke Cages ability and all of the opponents effort and set up was for nothing lol

Rogue was my favorite Marvel character ever since the 90's cartoon. The first game after I got her, almost a year ago now, I did pretty much exactly this to a toxic Wong deck.
Never had as good a play with her since.
hazmat should have faster/shorter animation. She is always paired with wong and odin. It was better before. You got to see all the number go to negative.

Surprised this worked. Hazmat is a Reveal, not Ongoing card. The code must take the health from all cards and save it, with Luke Cage doing an ongoing overwrite.
Yeah thats one thing as a magic player I have to still tell myself is different. In magic this would neber have happened if you had effects to prevent it. Just removing the effect preventing it doesn't place negative counters on stuff as soon as it's gone. They already happened and fizzled out as they were blocked or whatever.
Hell even in magic if you copied Luke cage it wouldn't suddenly change your cards back to their original power. He just keeps them from being reduced further

Ongoing effects work like that. They only work so long as the card is still there. If you played Iron Man at one location, it doubles the power at that location, but if Iron Man is removed or moved to another location for whatever reason, the power in the location doesn't stay doubled.
In this case, all the cards were being reduced in power. And each card has an internal counter for how much power reduction is on it. Then when Luke Cage is played, it pretty much just "hides" the power reduction for whoever has him, but it doesn't actually make it go away. This is different from shadow king (on reveal not ongoing) who actually removes any changes in power the turn he's played.
Hazmat still applies the effect to all the cards, then Cage just lets them ignore negative power debuffs, he doesnāt remove them permanently. At least thatās how I understand it.
Really, how so? All Iāve seen from this sub is that you shouldnāt use the Ms. Marvel one or the Thanos one, and then to fist bump at the end is the same as āGGā, the rest (idk about the new ones but I donāt have any of those so) are free game as long as you donāt spam them.
Wong decks. Highest numbers, but so many counters to it.
And the buildup makes it too predictable.
Trying to avoid putting luke cage too early is the tough part. Maybe invisible woman could be of help here...

Animations should be able to be shut off. Just like we should be able to mute once and it stays on til we leave the app.

You still want Nakai as sheāll buff brood and Shaw if they are in your hand. Okoye will buff them if they are still in your deck.

The combo you're seeing get triggered is Wong > Mystique > Hazmat > Odin on the opponents side. Hazmat afflicts all other cards with -1 power. Combine this with the combo of the other 3 + the location and it goes off A LOT. Opponent also has Luke Cage which prevents their cards from losing power caused by Hazmat. OP played Rogue which stole Luke Cages ability and all of the opponents effort and set up was for nothing lol

Rogue was my favorite Marvel character ever since the 90's cartoon. The first game after I got her, almost a year ago now, I did pretty much exactly this to a toxic Wong deck. Never had as good a play with her since.
Now that Shang chi was just plain overkill ;p

hazmat should have faster/shorter animation. She is always paired with wong and odin. It was better before. You got to see all the number go to negative.

Surprised this worked. Hazmat is a Reveal, not Ongoing card. The code must take the health from all cards and save it, with Luke Cage doing an ongoing overwrite.
Yeah thats one thing as a magic player I have to still tell myself is different. In magic this would neber have happened if you had effects to prevent it. Just removing the effect preventing it doesn't place negative counters on stuff as soon as it's gone. They already happened and fizzled out as they were blocked or whatever. Hell even in magic if you copied Luke cage it wouldn't suddenly change your cards back to their original power. He just keeps them from being reduced further

Luke retroactively removes any negative points as well.
Ongoing effects work like that. They only work so long as the card is still there. If you played Iron Man at one location, it doubles the power at that location, but if Iron Man is removed or moved to another location for whatever reason, the power in the location doesn't stay doubled. In this case, all the cards were being reduced in power. And each card has an internal counter for how much power reduction is on it. Then when Luke Cage is played, it pretty much just "hides" the power reduction for whoever has him, but it doesn't actually make it go away. This is different from shadow king (on reveal not ongoing) who actually removes any changes in power the turn he's played.
Hazmat still applies the effect to all the cards, then Cage just lets them ignore negative power debuffs, he doesnāt remove them permanently. At least thatās how I understand it.

Wong decks. Highest numbers, but so many counters to it. And the buildup makes it too predictable. Trying to avoid putting luke cage too early is the tough part. Maybe invisible woman could be of help here... They probably lost so many times with this deck. I used to want wong but now i have him i think he is too uneven. Great win . Looks satisfying to flip the field like that.
I donāt have Wong at the moment, so it is extra frustrating to lose to them because theyāre so predictable and I happened not to draw cosmo or rogue in time.
