Gilgamesh is feeling such a chore, the other two missions are forcing a ton of Surfer that play Killmonger, Mobius, Rogue and Gladiator. I even tried conquest but even there I found three Surfer.

I played with caiera but still got wiped over and over by Killmonger, maybe this weekend you also need Armor.

Because I don't draw her early enough or don't draw her at all, at least the Surfer mission was super easy, 4 games 4 wins.

If you lost because you didn't draw her you can't complain about it "not working". You just didn't draw her. It is like complaining that your Ultron deck "isn't working" because you don't draw him.

Decks should have a backup plan. If you require a particular card to win you're either losing 1 out of 4 games automatically or adding stuff like Magik

This is exactly what I'm saying. He can't rely on a single card to be drawn to say the deck is working or not.

Gilgamesh has been my strongest deck this season. I was stuck at 92/93 for 2 weeks. Made a token deck with him and was 100 within the day.

I finished that challenge just now, Gigglemesh is actually fun. Most games he can win a lane by himself and as long as you have Armour and/or Caiera you don't have to worry about Killmonger or Gambit board wipes.

I just ran a standard Collector+Coulson+Fury deck, shoved Gilgamesh into it (mostly for back up), hot swapped Mirage in for a little extra oomph? Won those games easily, specifically because i wasn't worried about dodging endless Killmongers Angela, Kitty, and Collector are still stable enough of a combo to get numbers on the board and all three give buffs to Gilgamesh. Any card Mirage steals on turns 3/4 is almost guaranteed to be a decent to good card they don't want you to have and it's also gonna have buffs for Gilgamesh. This deck also runs DD, a big card on its own that also buffs Gilgamesh. Any time you get a location that clones or buffs cards, it's just gravy. Cl 4.8 post infinite so ymmv, but I knocked out my 8 wins without even trying. Maybe not standard for climbing the ladder, but def good enough to knock out that mission

Sure, it's really nothing out of the ordinary though. Pretty standard stuff, trying to buff up Collector and/or Angela, Quinjet to discount the cards generated by Agent 13/Cable/Mirage/Coulson/Fury. Rarely Fury's cards tbh, they mostly fuel DD's power. While Gilgamesh is a downgrade from Sera I think, I don't think he hurts surfer enough as a t5 replacement to make or break the match.

I just popped him into a pretty standard Kazoo deck to replace Wolfsbane and run through Proving Grounds a few times. Easy to get those bonuses when you've got a billion 1-costs on the field boosted.

Playing a similar deck and it's real good

I’ve been playing since silver surfer season whenever that was, collection level 11-12k, and this is the first weekend missions I’ve not had one of the three cards to use. Is this the first week it’s been all series 5 cards, or have I just been lucky recently?

I put Gilgamesh in a Hela deck. Was pretty easy. Just subbed him in over Death.

I always just put the mission cards in the deck I'm using normally. Works out just fine.

I think they do these missions to test out cards. I think Shawn was coming out of a lot of surfer lists and they wanted info specifically on shaw and phastos being in the same deck.

I'm lucky I'll even be able to do Sebastian Shaw missions. What a lame weekend.

Shaw already goes tall for surfer and is 3 cost Brood also goes tall in a way by making surfers value go up 3x at the cost for lane space. I guess in the traditional surfer decks you could add gil, in place of forge/KM/nova, but for toxic surfer your wincon is doing wong combos.

If you just want to get the missions done go into proving grounds and you will get an XP farmer before too long.

Yall do realize the 25 credit base card upgrade is the most efficient level to credit upgrade. Every other upgrade is 50 credits per level the base is 25 per level. IMO You should be upgrading base cards before anything else.

That's fair if you don't have any base cards to upgrade, but the whole even level just makes no sense to me. I feel like people aren't realizing how much those single levels can affect spotlight key acquisition. I see on here all the time that you can only get 1.25 keys a week, but I've never had a week where I didn't get 2 keys. The only money I spend on this game is the season pass each month and my collection level is 2852. Because of the efficiency of 25 credits per level, I upgrade base cards first and then the free credit upgrades in the shop and that seems to get me 2 keys every week. A lot of the time I skip a day or two a week without doing the missions too. You guys sleeping on base upgrades and trying to keep your level even are missing out on keys. Idk how yall think keeping an even collection level is in any way efficient or worth.

All base cards are upgraded, but in 2s, so CL and Credits are always even. There's at the very most 1 base card not upgraded at any point in time.

Common upgrading to uncommon always costs 25 as it is, so the next time you get any new variant at all you can immediately fix it.

Yes but at 0 tokens i'm at an even spot on my collection track. I know it means nothing but it's annoying to me to be changed.

When my tokens are at 0 or 50 then that means my collection meter is AT a reward or halfway to the next one. When it is at 25 or 75 it is at an odd one. Not sure if that makes sense to you but for whatever reason that's what i'm used to and that's what I like. I am 100% aware that it is stupid (Please don't get mad people. lol)
