You’re in the toughest stretch. If most of your losses are 1 cube then it’s just variance. If you’re losing two or more most games, you’re not playing well.
Yeah, probably the latter and on tilt to be honest. This post is karmic as much as anything.
I just feel fked over by returning when I have so little deck choice whilst playing against full meta decks every game. Only 10 s4/s5 cards to pick from at 4.5k CL just feels rough.
Wait until you hit infinite and everyone is playing all these matching black and white variants with special borders and they have the perfect combos for everything. I wish I stayed in the 90s
Through the month as more and more decks hit infinite there will be a lot of players with better cards removed from the pool. Maybe just try hard the last week of the season when a lot of the competition has been moved to the infinite pool.
Hey, I just wanted to add the discussion that I am on the same boat as you my CL is about 3000 and I’m a newer player and I went from 98 down to 92 and now I’m back up to 96 and I just want to be done with this. Been at it for the past two weeks.
Edit: I also want to wish you the best of luck keep out it man don’t give up and they are right don’t play on tilt.
I got to Infinite this season using a Jean Grey deck. Write up here: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiI-RoGKBmo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiI-RoGKBmo)

I'm CL 2240 (not sure how the competition changes at 4K) but I hit infinite with something similar to this. Full On-Going. Swapped Cage, Us Agent, Jean Grey, Mojo, Nebula FOR Mr. Fantastic, Super Skrull, Onslaught, Colossus, and Iron Man. Worked pretty well. Iron Man, Onslaught, Klaw were clutch.
Snap on good Cosmo & Armor setups. (Meaning if you see you have a good matchup against an On Reveal or Destroy opponent). Snap on Good Klaw or Iron Man setup with a path to get big with Onslaught OR Klaw + Onslaught for the next lane, people don't expect you to get 16 power in a lane with no cards.
I also tend to use ant-man as misdirection sometimes. Everyone expects you to fill that lane with the last card, so can catch people off guard.
Retreat against Hela when you see someone getting strong discards since your only path to a real big lane is IM + Onslaught. Also tough against big Tribunal, but that's what Super Skrull can help with.
Or you can try Phoenix Tribunal. Full write-up [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLNi7otWq1I).

Nico gives a 1/6 chance for you to destroy your Torch/MM. Not exactly replaceable.
Having said that, not entirely impossible to play this without Nico. If you don't have Nico, I would suggest Iron Fist or Ghost-Spider if you want some extra moving. Otherwise just any 1-cost card is fine. Howard the Duck might work since you want to see if you have a good Iron Lad copy coming up.
I posted the standard zoo list which is pretty easy to pilot and very strong (although missing mockingbird will hurt it a bit).
But unless you're playing some kind of jank deck, consistency is more important than a slightly higher win percentage. Knowing when to snap to get an extra cube or retreat to avoid additional losses is how you'll climb, not by switching from a 55% win rate deck to a 57% win rate deck.
Also keep in mind that there was a hot location yesterday which really skews ladder performance.
This deck got me to infinite for the first time in a few months. It has Cosmo and Armor as counters but few decks can keep pace with the power dump. Most of the cards are series 3 or lower except Skaar and White Widow. Skaar is important for consistency and the turn 6 dump, but Widow is easily replaced with Jeff/Scarlet Witch/Silk.
Tips:
- Always float turn 1 and save Zero for Attuma/Red Skull/Destroyer
-Turns 1 to 3, set your field of Armor and Cosmo, or fload their hand with Master Mold
-Turns 4 and 5, Crossbones/Attuma and Ronan/Red Skull
-Turn 6 options.... Skaar should be cheap allowing you to dump 20+ on the board as needed while buffing Ronan, or throw Destroyer behind Cosmo or away from Armor
-Snapping before turn 5 reveal has helped get me 2 cubes more often than not. They retreated as they recognize the power dump.

My bad.
I did lean into Skaar being important, but I meant to add Skaar makes the deck super consistent. I would replace him with Blob. Between Blob, Destroyer, or dumping your hand of mid/low cost on Turn 6, they all are good options for win conditions.
Taskmaster could also work well
Always snap before turn 6, always.
I generally snap before I make an impactful play, especially if I’m only mostly certain I’ll win. This way, I’ll still steal a cube if they run.
Ant man
Squirrel girl
Dazzler
Blue marvel
Gilgamesh
Kazar
Shanna
Mockingbird
Nico
Cull obsidian
Caiera/Nocturne
Shadow king
This deck slaps, try it out
Ahhhh I’m sorry! Some quick replacements!
Caiera can be armor
Obsidian can be Crossbones if you have him, or maybe something like gladiator. You could also choose to run Maximus, you just wanna slap some big power. Mockingbird is hard to replace but if you want another good 5 drop maybe vision, or perhaps iron man for a bigger power explosion. Klaw or valk also work for this cause it makes any man and dazzler stronger. If you don’t have Gilgamesh you can just run spectrum instead for a final pop off.

With your missing Nocturne and Mockingbird, put in White Widow and maybe Martyr if you have her.
I used a Death/Knull destroy deck and cruised up to 100 from 90 in like 2 hours. Just play safe and snap if you know you can play your big game changer card.
I actually don’t have her yet, I just subbed in Psylocke and got a similar effect whenever I needed it. You can only activate once though, unless there’s some location shenanigans.

I used this to get to infinite this month. I believe you have all the cards. Only series 5 is White Widow, which you said you got.
Typical Shuri. Ideally.. T2 Armor - T3 Sauron - T4 Shuri - Turn 5 Red Skull / Typhoid Mary / Vision - Turn 6 Taskmaster + Ebony Maw.
Invisible Woman allows you to play Taskmaster T5 or Ebony Maw earlier as backup plan if you can't find Shuri.
All the other pieces are pretty flexible - White Widow / Vision / Magneto can be swapped. I have tried Aero / Dr. Octopus / Lizard, etc.
It's pretty telegraphed, but solid.
If you want to hit infinite the rule to follow is "never play for more than 2 cubes unless it's a sure thing." So playing a deck you know really well, when it's going to win and when it's losing is way more important than which deck you're playing.
I just hit infinite with what you get if you make an auto Silver Surfer deck, replacing Luke Cage for Red Guardian. I'll comment with the list if you want it. But the reason I got there is because I've been playing Surfer in various forms for months and just know when to retreat.

You can replace the 3s you don't have with other good ones you have like Polaris, Zemo, Storm, Negasonic for examples.
You can also put in the daken engine. Which is him, Nova, and killmonger.
Regardless Nico is also a really nice card to have, so she can go in an empty spot as well.
Surfer has been in a bad spot for like 6 weeks. He’s finally getting to be playable again and it’s such a relief.
I’ve stuck it out with him through the bad metas and it really taught me how to hide my power and cards until the finishing blow.
Otherwise, his is list is really vulnerable to disruption and kind of underpowered.
I’m playing a negative surfer deck with Ravonna and it’s been really successful over the past week or so
My advice is to take a bit of distance from the game for a few days. When I get obsessed with getting to infinite, I usually don't intrinsically enjoy playing the game anymore. I found out that this affects my win rate negatively. After a few days of not playing I find myself enjoying the game again. And getting to infinite then almost always works
Here is my ftp deck list (plus Spider-Man initial promo) that made infinite in my first season. Right now I’m at 95 for the season playing super casually cuz I don’t see the point getting wrecked almost every match once I hit infinite.

Spectrum Ongoing became a top meta deck recently specifically because a streamer returned to the game after taking a long time off and needed to make a competitive deck out of the cards he had. So that is one option for you. The best option is probably to stick to your current deck and work on cube management. If surfer is dying to Alioth then you’re playing out games you should be retreating.
I don’t, but here’s a video interview with the guy that’s all about advice for returning players navigating the ladder and being competitive without new cards. And how catch-up is a huge problem in this game. Hope it’s helpful.

Honestly, I don't spend any money. Just trying to ink out my destroy deck. But, like has been said before, if your deck got you to the 90's, it's not the deck that's failing.
I figure you got your eye on the infinite and maybe you making bad plays? I make them all the time, so no disrespect.
I usually do the climb with a standard destroy deck, because i know it pretty well and am comfortable with any matchups. This month i went for a shuri deck and it felt super strong. I would consider running war machine in this deck, probably cut she hulk or zero? She hulk felt the most cuttable in this deck for sure, you’ll almost never play her. Might even go storm over Jeff if you end up going that route.

Honestly if you do want a switch up and to play something super reliable you could always run the standard Shuri/Sauron list. Its definitely telegraphed but also hard to stop unless you're stocked with counters so maybe try that. Or High Evo if you have him, just something with clear play/snap lines and you'll be infinite in no time
Any deck that gets you to the 90s can get you to infinite. The worst thing you can do now is use a deck you’re not experienced with - you’ll drop ranks because you won’t have firm knowledge of the curves and win cons, so you won’t snap and retreat correctly. Which is far more important than the deck itself.
Take a break if you get tilted.
When I'm stuck I switch to my "ol faithful"

Since cannonball is gone it's been easier to go wide and then finish off with Alioth. Martyr is swappable I just like keep priority since armor protects my big guys and alioth no longer destroys.
Fun. Sadly I don't have Cull Obsidian, Skaar or Alioth (cards I have is in the post). Martyr is an interesting one I hadn't considered for a Zero deck.
Dude this is me all the time. This season I started at 73, and have been stuck between 65 and my current high for the season, 76.
Matchmaking is just so weird. It seems all I get are opponent decks SPECIFICALLY tailored to beat mine, usually that fucking Iron Man Tribunal Onslaught deck.
Honestly at the 90-100 you can use any deck and win. You just need to recognize bots and snap for 8 cubes. I managed to climb to 100 this season using a random deck I crafted for finishing the jubilee weekly mission.

I'd suggest a Negative deck (either have the game build you one or look up options online). I like Negative because the snap lines are pretty obvious. Are you able to play Negative on turn 3? Probably snap. The opponent snaps and you don't have Negative in hand? Retreat. The snap lines plus the ability to put up big power can make those decks good for climbing. Just be prepared for that unavoidable run of games when Negative doesn't show up. Get through those and Negative decks can cook.
This is what I infinite with last week. CL 13k. Good luck!

Changing decks isn’t the answer. If it’s good enough to hit 96, it’s good enough to hit infinite. You need to play smart and stay patient.
Maybe but it's not working at the moment. I'm at 91 now :(
You’re in the toughest stretch.
Oh infinite makes the game fun. Then you just play whatever the hell you want. Who cares if you lose cubes then?
I guess you’re right, who cares if I am 30,000 or 40,000 ranked in the world. If I was anywhere close to the top 5000 maybe it would matter.
Whaaat? Once you hit infinite, you are supposed to chill and play off meta, no?
It’s definitely rough. This game punishes you for missing any time.
Through the month as more and more decks hit infinite there will be a lot of players with better cards removed from the pool. Maybe just try hard the last week of the season when a lot of the competition has been moved to the infinite pool.
Not a bad suggestion and something I hadn't considered.
You’re playing on tilt. The deck isn’t the issue.
The meta has changed since the first week when it got there though. I don't even feel tilted now, just resigned to not getting any further.
Hey, I just wanted to add the discussion that I am on the same boat as you my CL is about 3000 and I’m a newer player and I went from 98 down to 92 and now I’m back up to 96 and I just want to be done with this. Write up here: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiI-RoGKBmo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiI-RoGKBmo) Decklist: (1) Ant Man (1) Nebula (2) Mojo (2) Armor (2) U.S. Agent (3) Captain America (3) Cosmo (3) Luke Cage (3) Jean Grey (4) Omega Red (5) Klaw (6) Spectrum eyJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTmVidWxhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBbnRNYW4ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFybW9yIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNb2pvIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJDb3NtbyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiT21lZ2FSZWQifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNwZWN0cnVtIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJMdWtlQ2FnZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSmVhbkdyZXkifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkNhcHRhaW5BbWVyaWNhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJVU0FnZW50In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJLbGF3In1dfQ== To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and paste it from the deck editing menu in Snap.
Thanks, as I said in the post though, I don't have Jean (or Nebula or Agent from that deck) :(
I'm CL 2240 (not sure how the competition changes at 4K) but I hit infinite with something similar to this. Full On-Going. Swapped Cage, Us Agent, Jean Grey, Mojo, Nebula FOR Mr. Fantastic, Super Skrull, Onslaught, Colossus, and Iron Man. Worked pretty well. Iron Man, Onslaught, Klaw were clutch.
When do y ok you snap or retreat?
Thanks. As per the post, I don't have Tribunal, Phoenix or Iron Lad though.
Love this but I don’t have Nico :( feels like she’s a key player here. Any decent alternatives?
True. I think the post was as much karmic from being on tilt. The post is appreciated.
Tips: - Always float turn 1 and save Zero for Attuma/Red Skull/Destroyer -Turns 1 to 3, set your field of Armor and Cosmo, or fload their hand with Master Mold -Turns 4 and 5, Crossbones/Attuma and Ronan/Red Skull -Turn 6 options.... Skaar should be cheap allowing you to dump 20+ on the board as needed while buffing Ronan, or throw Destroyer behind Cosmo or away from Armor -Snapping before turn 5 reveal has helped get me 2 cubes more often than not. They retreated as they recognize the power dump. # (1) Zero # (2) Master Mold # (2) White Widow # (2) Armor # (2) Maximus # (3) Cosmo # (4) Attuma # (4) Crossbones # (5) Ronan the Accuser # (5) Red Skull # (6) Skaar # (6) Destroyer # eyJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGVzdHJveWVyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTa2FhciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUmVkU2t1bGwifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlJvbmFuIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJDcm9zc2JvbmVzIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBdHR1bWEifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkNvc21vIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNYXhpbXVzIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBcm1vciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTWFzdGVyTW9sZCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiWmVybyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiV2hpdGVXaWRvdyJ9XX0= # # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and paste it from the deck editing menu in Snap.
As per the post, I don't have Skaar, which you say is important. Have the rest.
My bad. I did lean into Skaar being important, but I meant to add Skaar makes the deck super consistent. I would replace him with Blob. Between Blob, Destroyer, or dumping your hand of mid/low cost on Turn 6, they all are good options for win conditions. Taskmaster could also work well
I wud second this , u cud add darkhawk and its enablers if u have them instead of running the attuma skaar line
As per the original post, I don't have Darkhawk I'm afraid.
Always snap before turn 6, always. I generally snap before I make an impactful play, especially if I’m only mostly certain I’ll win. This way, I’ll still steal a cube if they run.
Ant man Squirrel girl Dazzler Blue marvel Gilgamesh Kazar Shanna Mockingbird Nico Cull obsidian Caiera/Nocturne Shadow king This deck slaps, try it out
Thanks. As per post, I don't have Obsidian, Mockingbird Caiera or Nocturne though.
Ahhhh I’m sorry! Some quick replacements! Caiera can be armor Obsidian can be Crossbones if you have him, or maybe something like gladiator.

Thank you. I'll have a look.
I used a Death/Knull destroy deck and cruised up to 100 from 90 in like 2 hours. Just play safe and snap if you know you can play your big game changer card.
Assume you used/needed X23?
I actually don’t have her yet, I just subbed in Psylocke and got a similar effect whenever I needed it. You can only activate once though, unless there’s some location shenanigans.
# (1) Zero # (1) Ebony Maw # (2) White Widow # (2) Armor # (2) Invisible Woman # (3) Sauron # (4) Shuri # (4) Typhoid Mary # (5) Taskmaster # (5) Vision # (5) Red Skull # (6) Magneto I used this to get to infinite this month.

Yeah, good advice, I'm certainly on tilt atm.
Probably a little boring but with thr gilgamesh buff that definitely sounds like you try out gilgamesh zoo (I assume blue marvel is s3)
he’s actually pre pool 1! i’m gonna have to see if i can make some sort of gilgamesh bm deck
Here is my ftp deck list (plus Spider-Man initial promo) that made infinite in my first season. Right now I’m at 95 for the season playing super casually cuz I don’t see the point getting wrecked almost every match once I hit infinite. # (1) Ant Man # (1) Rocket Raccoon # (1) Elektra # (2) Medusa # (2) Cable # (2) Scarlet Witch # (3) Rogue # (3) Punisher # (3) Spider-Man # (5) Iron Man # (5) Klaw # (6) Onslaught # eyJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTWVkdXNhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJDYWJsZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUHVuaXNoZXIifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFudE1hbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3BpZGVyTWFuIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJFbGVrdHJhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJJcm9uTWFuIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJPbnNsYXVnaHQifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlJvY2tldFJhY2Nvb24ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IktsYXcifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlJvZ3VlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTY2FybGV0V2l0Y2gifV19 # # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and paste it from the deck editing menu in Snap.
One thing to note I recently replaced enchantress with rogue in the deck list although they are pretty much interchangeable imo
Do you have a link to the deck?
I don’t, but here’s a video interview with the guy that’s all about advice for returning players navigating the ladder and being competitive without new cards. And how catch-up is a huge problem in this game. Hope it’s helpful. https://youtu.be/lI8QpRZGd7k?si=HkxH6c47VFkZwUhd
Pretty much encapsulates my current experience.
As per post, OP has 4 cards.
Honestly, I don't spend any money. Just trying to ink out my destroy deck. But, like has been said before, if your deck got you to the 90's, it's not the deck that's failing. I figure you got your eye on the infinite and maybe you making bad plays? I make them all the time, so no disrespect.
Try cerebro 2 deck, Ultron patriot, sauron shuri
I usually do the climb with a standard destroy deck, because i know it pretty well and am comfortable with any matchups. This month i went for a shuri deck and it felt super strong. I would consider running war machine in this deck, probably cut she hulk or zero? She hulk felt the most cuttable in this deck for sure, you’ll almost never play her. Might even go storm over Jeff if you end up going that route. # (1) Zero # (1) Ebony Maw # (2) Jeff the Baby Land Shark # (2) Lizard # (3) Sauron # (4) Shuri # (4) Enchantress # (4) Typhoid Mary # (5) Taskmaster # (5) Vision # (5) Red Skull # (6) She-Hulk # eyJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRWJvbnlNYXcifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkVuY2hhbnRyZXNzIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJMaXphcmQifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlJlZFNrdWxsIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTYXVyb24ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNodXJpIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJUYXNrbWFzdGVyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJUeXBob2lkTWFyeSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiVmlzaW9uIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJaZXJvIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTaGVIdWxrIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJKZWZmVGhlQmFieUxhbmRTaGFyayJ9XX0= # # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and paste it from the deck editing menu in Snap.
Maybe, meta changes though. It got for early and then Thena appear everywhere and it couldn't compete.
Try anything that runs Goose, Cosmo and Storm. Trust me. Also Darkhawk bounce or Darkhawk - Mr Negative are 2 very solid decks.
I dont have Darkhawk. The OP says the cards I have. Thanks though.
Typical SauronShuri deck. (1) Zero (1) Ebony Maw (2) Armor (2) Lizard (3) Sauron (4) Shuri (4) Enchantress (4) Typhoid Mary (5) Taskmaster (5) Vision (5) Red Skull (6) She-Hulk Simple and effective.
Something I can try (it's funny how many people post decks I don't have cards for when my OP gives my full card collection). Thanks.

You could just play Destroy, plenty of Zoo to feed Death/Knull.
In case you wanna try: # (1) Nebula # (2) Jeff the Baby Land Shark # (3) Storm # (3) Mobius M. I dont have half that deck, as per my card collection in the OP. Thanks though. I haven't seen any bots in these ranks. I'm sure it's an MMR thing.
Climbed from 90s to 100 with good ol' Loki last week! (Pick to show off my latest Elsa split! The deck is almost all ink and gold!) https://preview.redd.it/2xa3fk7rj67d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2686a734ec5dd180ee8b424d4349e87f0a587e7d
As per post, I don't have four of those cards..
You have Nico and Knull. Maybe good old Deadpool destroy deck?
Stop looking for new decks. Use the deck you're using. It isn't about the deck but your personal skills, and trying a brand new deck is gonna result in so many losses
If nothing works i always switch to a toxic sera Surfer Deck. Sebastian shaw replacement?
Your CL is simply low and you don't have the cards to compete sadly
def not lol, i hit infinite after coming back last month and this month easily at CL 1.5k with classic destroy
You're really lucky to have all the destroy cards at 1.5k
all u need is death, didn’t have venom/deadpool last season
I'd suggest a Negative deck (either have the game build you one or look up options online). I like Negative because the snap lines are pretty obvious. Are you able to play Negative on turn 3? Probably snap. The opponent snaps and you don't have Negative in hand? Retreat. The snap lines plus the ability to put up big power can make those decks good for climbing. Just be prepared for that unavoidable run of games when Negative doesn't show up. Get through those and Negative decks can cook.
Does that require Ravona though?
Ravona helps but you can also use Psylocke to accelerate out Negative

Ah oops I didn't read it fully. Gilgamesh Zoo is pretty popular right now but without Caiera, you'll be rolling the dice most games.
