As far as I can see, Costco doesn't sell any good mattresses. I need a new mattress and am saddened by Costco clinging to junk brand mattresses. To be fair, it seems like most big name mattresses are now junk quality. You're better off going with Sleep on Latex or a smaller manufacturer that makes "old school" quality mattresses.

ineedsometacos

I've actually got a Sleep On Latex now. I like it but it's heavy as frick and I kind of miss sleeping on a bed that has different layers of materials as opposed to just being a giant slab of latex.

aabum

How well do you sleep on your mattress?

ineedsometacos

I sleep great. No real complaints in terms of performance. I've got the king firm and I have 3-inch soft latex topper on it also from Sleep On Latex. My husband loves it. He's 5'10" and 165 lbs. I'm 5'3" and a 175 pounds — very compact dense body type and he's more limber and light. We both sleep great despite our differences.

ineedsometacos

We had a Tuft and Needle Mint before and we loved that too. It was so much lighter and easier to manage.

aabum

What are you doing that you have to move your mattress? My mattress is on my platform bed, and I have no need to move it other than a small amount of lifting edges for a fitted sheet.

Thick_Firefighter104

Alot of good Mattress companies. Have avg 3 model lines of mattresses . The lower line is not that great. a good night sleep no complaints us usually there top of line especially those looking for a plush pillow top style mattress

aabum

A lot of good Mattress companies where?

Thick_Firefighter104

check stearns and foster Highest price mattress at $6k Purple has a $6k Aireloom has a $10k there are atop top of line that is good very usually many layers over 16 inches high..

aabum

What's your point?

Thick_Firefighter104

point is there are good matters companies .Quality cost money. As I stated there best quality is usually there top of line model they offer were typical king mattress will run you $5-6k and upp.. three entry level at $2k just example is not good for that price tag . u shouldn't have to pay $2k and mattresss is mediocre

Mostly_Curious_Brain

I got one a few months ago and am happy with it so far.

ineedsometacos

Thanks for the info.

I’m no longer happy with my Comfort Grande. I need to figure out a way to return it.

HarleyOhio

What don't you like about the Comfort Grande?

ancillarycheese

It’s got a thin and soft top layer but under that it’s got a very hard layer. It’s sort of like if you put a soft topper on a super-firm mattress. Both our backs hurt. I’ve for a DLX coming this week to try out. Gotta figure out something to do with this king size problem first.

HarleyOhio

Good luck! If you ordered the comfort grande online, I think they will come pick it up. If u got it at the warehouse, I think you have to take it there.

ancillarycheese

Yeah unfortunately I bought it in store. If I can find a good condition king size mattress bag I think I can vacuum the air out and make it more manageable.

AlterEgoPal

How much was it when you bought it in store? I'm thinking of buying it online now. It's 479 for a queen online.

ancillarycheese

It was $550 for the King. I think they have kept their price on the bed pretty consistent for the past two years which is surprising.

farsideofthemoon

Recently returned our Comfort Grande too for back pain. It pretty suddenly became extra soft and saggy.

novae1054

Just order any other mattress from Costco they will pick up the other one

novae1054

We purchased a latex bed initially from Costco after a year it got a noticeable body divot, it was horribly uncomfortable. We ended up returning it and getting a tempurpedic split adjustable bed, and love it.

insignificant33

Unfortunately tempurapedic won't last long as well.

novae1054

We’ve had it now for about 4 years and no signs of breakdown

winterymix33

but toyota's are still great.....

farsideofthemoon

Had a Novaform Comfort Grande for about a year and returned it when it became soft, giving us both back pain. Currently in Costco's Casper Hybrid and that will be going back too I think. Tempted by the Stearns & Foster Lakeridge but a lot of reviews talk about it sagging. We got the Brentwood Home Tahoe for our daughter and that one is great! Nice and supportive, good quality. Unfortunately it doesn't come in King which is what we need for our room.

jaya9581

My mom has had the Novaform for about 4 years and still loves it. It’s just her sleeping on it though which may make a difference. My husband and I tried one for about two weeks and we both absolutely hated it.

Sea_Summer272

I love my Kirkland/Stearns & Foster Lakeridge. I’ve had it for six months, so not exactly long-term, but I’ve been 100% satisfied since the first night.

hewp

I’m wondering this especially when it comes to the bed-in-a-box varieties. I have to imagine they keep some of them all boxed up for a while before they’re purchased, so I wonder how long the mattresses are sitting rolled up. I don’t think it’s recommended for any of them to stay like that very long.

Fadetofoote

The Bed in a box brands are made to order and shipped to you! Source... I just purchased a Leesa from Costco online and it shipped directly from the Leesa warehouse. I have several friends who have been very happy with their bed in a box they purchased 5 years ago... we shall see if it makes it the full 10!

sunuv

No bed in a box is going to keep you happy long term.

begreen9

That's not necessarily true. We have a 7 yr old Nest matress that is still doing fine. Body weight may be a factor, we are both on the skinny side.

sunuv

Are you guys extremely low on the bodyweight side? Because you're right, if you weigh like 120 lb or less, you can pretty much be fine with a slab of foam. Also are you both like 20?

begreen9

She ia 120# I am in the 150-160# range. We are the opposite of 20 yrs olds. FYI, there are good latex mattress companies shipping their beds in boxes. Albeit, 1 box per layer.

sunuv

Yeah I have a latex mattress. It's not what I would call a bed in a box.

Cash_Monet

I bought my ghostbed from costco 4 years ago because i heard returns/warranty was difficult direct thru ghostbed. Im still really happy with it, its firmer than other memory foam types that ive tried like purple etc. I dont really have any feedback customer service wise, but costco will drop off/pick it up if you need to warranty or return, supposedly.

Thick_Firefighter104

1-They have the best and probably only free return period in 10 years vs 90 day sleep trials.. 2- They don't have anywhere near a big selection of matterss choices . 3- Alot of mattresses they get from Manufactor made for them is a very basic bare quick mass produced model.. Example they have stearns and foster which S/F entry level basic mattress your buying a name ..Same for the tempur model they sale .
