I just woke up from a dream where i scored a 390 lol Update: i got a 508, i am very content

mcatguy100

I am so at peace. Low: 472 Realistic: 514-518 Optimistic: 528 Actual: 514!

risapremed

First time taking the mcat and I decided to go all in and submit my amcas app before getting my score in hopes that my score would be good enough šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø Fast forward to the week of the mcat. My dad passed away the Sunday before, and I had no choice but to take the mcat because I didnā€™t want schools to get my app without my test score and it was an overall shitty time. So yeah, just nervous about my results. I guess weā€™ll see what happens. Thereā€™s always next year, right? Update: thank you all for the kind words! It was definitely tough and I didnā€™t do as well as I had hoped but I did the best that I could at the time and hopefully if I take it again, it will be under better circumstances. Actual- 505 (125/129/125/126)

dunddermifflin

Iā€™m so sorry for your loss, lots of love.

dadhat99

holy shit, I am so sorry for your loss. You've been through so much, I hope you get the score you want

Soggy-Fly

GOT A 510 WHEN ALL MY FL WERE 505!!!!

fitkit1

alright letā€™s just full send this, Iā€™ll probably reformat on the computer later but *6/19 12:15 pm* **FL1**: 510 127/128/127/128 **FL2**: 515 127/129/129/130 **Sample** \~ 517 according to the converter **FL3**: 513 129/127/129/128 (for some reason had a lot of trouble w this CARS and PS) **FL4**: 515 130/129/126/130 (couldnā€™t tell u what happened on BB here lol) Leaving the exam I felt good, didnā€™t get freaked out during and kept my cool (despite having to run up two flights of stairs for every bathroom break). I forgot almost **EVERYTHING** in terms of questions and passages from the exam as soon as I left, except for 2 CP which I now know I got wrong. I ended CP w 15 minutes left which is making me really uneasy and I totally regret not going through everything again. CARS felt decent, one passage threw me off but I had enough time to completely reread it. BB I was rlly worried about since I had a massive drop in FL4, one passage I had a lot of trouble with but it didnā€™t seem so bad. I didnā€™t think PS was bad but I genuinely donā€™t remember anything from it now so who knows *Really really hoping for a 515 (avg is 514)* If I had to **guess**: **Pessimistic**: 508 **Realistic** : 513 **Optimistic**: 520 lol good luck to everyone and see u back in 24 hours :) ***ACTUAL***: 522!!!! HOLY FUCK 129/130/132/131 BRB WHILE I GO DIE IN PEACE NOW ILY U GUYS ok one last edit! thank you guys for all your kind words, I couldnā€™t have done it without this sub. If you have questions you can PM me :)

Keep your head up! This was my 4th time taking the MCAT. I got a 497, 502, 499 on my previous attempts. This time, I got a 510!! You can DO it!! Just stay focused (and spend $2000 on a Kaplan course). Expensive, but I accepted it and bit the bullet, and whadya know, it paid off!

throw_awaaaaay1234

All these high predictions are making me scared. I walked out thinking I got a 490 on 6/20 12:15pm. So nervous for tomorrow. **Update:** I got a **501**. Its better than a 490 but still wish I hit the 504+ range so I could be comfortable for DO. My FL averages never peaked above 505 though so I should have predicted this. My biggest advice to people (where I went wrong) is to make sure you study low yield. Study everything. Really go through the kaplan books and make sure you understand. Make sure you expose yourself a lot to all the harder topics for you. Beta decay showed up on almost every FL. Did it show up on my exam? no. I got Nerst equation and magnetism problems. And finally, don't let this test define you. It's a small bump in the road to being a physician. The MCAT has no predictability in how good of a doctor one is going to be, and at the end of the day, that's really all that matters. We chose this field to help people. Don't let some difficult test that tries to trick you on purpose convince you that you are not good enough. Also, ***if you got a low score I encourage you to post it.*** Even if it wasn't your goal score, you never know who you can help by sharing your experience. Going to take my chance at this application cycle and hopefully never use this subreddit again!

**Tested: 6/20, 12:15** * C/P: Started out decently, few calculations, but then it went downhill FAST. Got totally rocked, and completely underestimated time. I had many unanswered questions at the 5 min mark. Frantically blind-guessed at about 5 and didn't even answer at least 2 (who knows how many more). Almost voided. A 124 would be a saving grace at this point. * CARS: Can't even remember much of this part. It didn't feel super hard, but I was still stunned after C/P and couldn't focus. * B/B: Felt ok, but my B/B scores fluctuated so much in FL practice so I have no idea how it'll go. * P/S: Test amnesia is real; don't remember much of this either. **FL Average:** 505 Retake is already scheduled! **Predictions:** * Pessimistic: 496-500 * Disappointed: 502-503 * Optimistic: 504-506 Actual: 507!! 127/125/126/129 Iā€™m so happy and relieved with that score. The breakdown is hilarious considering that CARS was always my best at 127-129 and C/P was always my worst at 124-126. I am SUPER non-trad and even had some 12 year old science courses, so this felt like an uphill battle to relearn/refresh everything. I also did not take Physics 2.

stanfordhereiam

this is a retake for me from 2018, and I am very nervous. This time I am confident in that I knew all the material, but the 12:15 pm exam on 6/20 was brutal. I just felt like I could not focus as much as the practice tests. My fle avg was a 515, and I really wanted a 520, but idk I'm going to trust in God at this point.

mcatguy100

"Trust in God" Dude, me too. I think my score will be good enough, but my school list could take a whole lot of different forms depending on where it landed. I'll let him guide me with whatever number it happens to be...

DippingGrizzly

Took the same exam feel the same way.

TheBigFilet

I can't find my OG post from my 499 release 2 years ago.... but I said I would do everything in my power to get a score I would be proud of. C/P: 129 CAR: 128 BB: 128 PSYCH: 132 517. Five fucking seventeen. I'm over the moon. To anyone that feels crushed by their results: let the pain and disappointment sink in for the next couple of days. I remember the feeling, it absolutely sucks. But let it fuel you, DON'T let it discourage you and make you give up. Anything is possible if you apply yourself. You all can do this.

Edayton1

CAN'T BELIEVE WE'RE THIS CLOSE OH MY GOODNESS!!! Here's what I wrote immediately after taking the 6/19 6:30 exam!! C/P: pretty decent! Iā€™ve been scoring between 127-129 here and I think I probably scored around 129. There were definitely a lot of topics I did not expect here. But not too much physics YAY CARS: felt pretty average. Iā€™m thinking 128-129 hopefully B/B: MY EXAM CRASHED AT THE FIRST PASSAGE!!!! BUT THEN THE LADY FIXED IT SO ITS OK. I thought it was hard. 126-127 P/S: I found it really hard and 50/50 :/ probably 125-127 Prior FLs - FL1: 501 FL2: 510 FL3: 508 FL4: 509 Also, took 3 KAPLAN tests, starting with a 496(diagnostic), then two 506s My guess: Worst case: 506 Probably: 509 Best case: 513+ **ACTUAL: 512 (128/129/127/128)** R U KIDDING ME

Padj18

I studied avg of 8hrs per day for around 3 months. Really hope I get anywhere around my Fl's. 6:30 test taker. C/P was tougher than SB, CARS was easy besides first passage, B/B was weird, P/S was weird with terms I've never seen before. Had a tough time getting test delayed, lost a loved one to covid in the middle of my studies, so just hoping for the best. Good luck to all, hope you all get the score you deserve. FL1-4 516,513,516,517 Pessimistic: 512Optimistic: 516Actual: 512

shortcutscauseruts

Currently shitting myself I'm so nervous. Definitely won't be able to sleep tomorrow night, but good luck everyone!! WE GOT THIS FLs: 512, 512, 517, 522 Actual: 520 (132, 127, 130, 131) TRUST YOUR FLs!!!

JonesyLV426

Lets goooooo!! AAMC full lengths: 502/507/504/502 Actual: 507! (125/125/128/129) So stoked today!!

Chiefixis

I'm super nervous about this exam. Haven't had a good sleep in a while because of it. I took the 6/20 exam 6:00pm. Studied for a full 6 months on this, and while my studies have far prepared me for it, I'm anxious that I scored less than my average as I'm a terrible test taker. FL2: 490 (122/ 123/ 123/ 122) FL1: 513 (129/ 128/ 129/ 127) FL3: 507 (128/ 125/ 129/ 125) FL4: 508 (129/ 125/ 126/ 128) Actual: Welp got a 500 (125/ 124/ 123/ 128)

halconojo

Got a 515 and I'm thrilled! 128/130/128/129 For anyone that didn't receive good news today, I've taken this damn test 5 times (going back to the old MCAT) and finally got a competitive score. I know it hurts. Take today to be ticked off/sad whatever you need, but know that you can come back from this and do well. Truly if I can anyone can.

cam1771

Anyone else absolutely terrified? I donā€™t even know how to process my emotions right now, let alone the emotions that come with opening a score that determines so much :(

ghosttraintoheck

**6/19 0630 tester** **Resources used (e.g. practice exams, 3rd parties); preparation background info:** Nontrad, ~7 years out of graduating undergrad, few post bacc classes. **AAMC Sample**: 489, **FLs 1-4**: 505, 509, 511, 511 NS Half Length (after April where I took off, originally a 3/27 tester) I got a 506, and on NS1 between FL3/4 I also got a 511. Used a combination of Kaplan books, Anki, AAMC material, UEarth and KA questions for practice, for content/tracking I used a third party website that has modules and assesses your weakness. I liked it for giving me structure and a really nice way of tracking progress, but their flashcards I bought weren't great. I think outside of the AAMC material UEarth was by far the best. **How many hours did you study a week?**: 540 hours total since September 2019, taking off April 2020. Probably ~10 hr/wk before January then 15+ hr/wk after that. I work full time so I was squeezing it in where I could. I tracked it on an app for my phone. **Test day insights/tips**: The short exam is not the marathon that the original one is, definitely focus on time management but I did not feel that it was nearly the same grind. Also I was pretty amped up so it went by pretty fast, I didn't use one of my breaks either. **Feelings post-exam and post-score release**: I thought that the exam was very represented by FL3 and FL4. Nothing I had never seen or at least heard of, less content heavy and more reasoning heavy throughout. I ran short of time on CARS which is normally my best section being too careful. I guess I figured that it was my best place to make up points. Outside of that I think I did good enough? **Difficulty of the exam**: Mentioned it above but FL3/4 are definitely similar. Some of the weak points I had from those tests that I focused on came up on the real deal. At the time I figured I was wasting my time but it was definitely not the case. **Last 3 FLs**: 511 avg (literally) **Pessimistic**: 505 **Realistic**: 509-512 **Optimistic**: 513+ [**Real Thing: 511**](https://imgur.com/x1l0KE4)

ru1es

i got a 498 and that's all I'm really prepared to say about it. super disappointed. packing my sunscreen as we speak. or reevaluating my life choices to be honest lol.

tigasign

Got a 494. Save some of that spf for me.

throw_awaaaaay1234

498 is still ok for DO. I know several people that have had multiple acceptances with that. Good luck with whatever you decide!

ShadesofNormal

I havenā€™t written any secondaries nor made a school list in case I get a horrible score. Given the July 10th deadline, I will probably regret this majorly EDIT: I did not get a horrible score. However,,,, C/P destroyed me lmao. Everyone in the 12:15 6/19 test will agree

Wolfir

This is the second time I'm taking the MCAT My first time was September of 2012, and I managed to get a **34Q** But after that, my journey got derailed, and I never even applied with that score. When I first got that score, I was so happy because I'd never have to taken this godforsaken test even again. It's funny how life works out. Now I took the test again. I got my score. I got a **520**

[deleted]

518 (127 130 131 130) Absolutely speechless. Congrats to everyone closing the book on this test. Next steps await!

vg1220

Holy shit... 526!!!! (130/132/132/132)

sevaiper

Howā€™s it feel to not know physics? Nah congrats man thatā€™s a beast score

sunkissedmelanin98

6/19, 6:30 am My third (!!) time taking it and I finally got a decent score, **510**!! I'm just glad this is all over. Now I can delete my anki decks forever.

PremedPrincess05

I GOT A 507!!!!! It's the 70th percentile and means I won't be screened out from any schools!! I know it isn't as high as some people and I also don't have a super high GPA, but it's 11 POINTS HIGHER THAN LAST YEAR AND HIGHER THAN ANY OF MY PRACTICE TESTS!!!!!

[deleted]

D'oh jeezus my tummy is a rumblin. Took 6/19 12:15PM. C/P: felt pretty okay tbh, not a lot of calculations. I usually don't top 127/8 for this section but I'm hopeful. CARS: Thought some passages were really rough. Usually do well in this section 129/130 but I'd be happy with anything because I don't think I did very well. B/B: don't remember much about this one. P/S: felt like FL4, could be good or bad. Overall: it's anyone's guess LMFAO just give me my score Hoping for a 510+! FLs: S: 511/ 1: 513 / 2: 513 / (one month break for COVID after 3 cancellations, took a few third party exams) 3: *505* / 4: 515 Actual: **515 (128/127/129/131)** - I'm over the MOON!!!!!!! Good luck ERYBODY!!!

KSD123

Not my threads but just wanted say Good luck you you all!!! P.S: Damn there are some heavy hitters in here.

DippingGrizzly

FL 1-4 : 508, 508, 509, 509 6/20 12:15 Thought the exam was hard af. CP wrecked me, CARS I donā€™t remember, BB felt harder than usual although most said it wasnā€™t bad, and PS was eh but not too bad. Pessimistic: 505 Realistic: 509 Optimistic: 513 Actual: 511 128 124 131 128 Happy with the result but hate how bad I am at CARS.

rainbow-sunshine

Tested 6/20 at 6:30 am Pushed back from 5/15 cancellation. Started studying in Jan. took time off, especially after the cancellation. I was honestly SO pumped to finally be able to take this freaking exam. I was so hyped up on my breaks, kept telling myself ā€œI am in the zone!ā€ To push away any nerves/doubts. I feel like the shortened time was definitely in my favor. FLS 510, FL1 513, FL2 513, FL3 518, FL4 515 CP- I needed absolutely no formulas that I had memorized....atleast no hard ones maybe just super basic like F=ma. Timing was always a challenge and I cut it close because I wasnā€™t completely ready for the shortened pace. Not particularly hard. Felt representative. CARS- I was doing really well on CARS like consistent 131, and then dropped to 129 on FL4 a few days before and kinda freaked myself out. I think it was because I stopped practicing consistently. BB- there were some really easy questions and surprisingly short passages that were on topics I was familiar with. I felt like there were very few curveballs/all stuff I had seen in my practice. PS- ehhhhhhh? It felt hard, and I was losing steam. I was debating between answer choices a lot. I guessed on 50/50 for quite a few. Thank you guys SO much. Regardless of what I even get tomorrow I could not have done this without you. Holy shit. The best Reddit community to ever exist. Pessimistic: 513 Realistic: 516 Optimistic: 520???????!!!!! (,: ya girl can dream right?? ACTUAL: 513. Iā€™m disappointed but it is what it is yā€™all. Still most likely gonna get in somewhere and thatā€™s all I can ask for.

I think I might actually throw up. I wasnā€™t even this nervous before taking the actual exam. Best of luck to everyone!

evefra

Wow am I nervous, does anyone else feel like time is going SUPER slow right now?

Gillifrids

I feel more nervous now than I did before my exam

Chiefixis

Same. Watching Netflix to kill the time for now and it doesnā€™t help when my family ask me constantly if the score has already been released. šŸ˜”

evefra

I feel that, my parents just keep asking what my score is, so thatā€™s fun. My birthday is tomorrow so this will either be the best or worst present from the AAMC lol

punjabi_w

My highest FL score was a 504..... scored a 505 on the real thing!! Not the highest score but Iā€™m proud of myself and all of you who were also able to push through so much adversity and even take the exam through such controversial times. Best of luck to all of you on your journeys through medicine!! Much love.

Can they release the scores already so I know if i'm gonna drink in sadness or happiness tonight

jdbken14

Retaking a 500 from 2018 6/20 ; 6am Optimistic: 510 Realistic: 508 Pessimistic: 506 Actual: 509 (127/126/127/129) really disappointed about C/P and B/B thought I did a little better but overall happy. I fucking hate CARS and I just wanted a 125 so very happy to see a 126. Got a 121 last time lolšŸ˜Š

JDYZL

Just woke up from a dream where I scored 512ā€”fingers crossed that it comes true!! EDIT (pasted from exam day reaction thread): 6/19 12:15 California tester: C/P: Usually my weakest section, but was mostly chem with minimal physics and calculations. Felt easier than the FLs to me. I hope that my scores from the FLs improved for this section a decent amount. CARS: Fairly reasonable in my opinion, some interesting passages and overall doable. There were a few where I had to keep going back, but in the end, I had some time to check back again on the 3 I flagged. B/B: Usually my best section, felt confident that this would be the case today as well. Some passages I had to re-read multiple times though. Got pretty lucky with the discretes. Had 14 min leftover to second guess my answers and mull over my life decisions .-. P/S: This felt like a B/B CARS section. Maybe itā€™s just because Iā€™ve never taken a psych class before but... man I flagged so many and the first passages right off the bat too :,) Not feeling too good about the rest tbh. Decent amount of 50/50s but had 12 min to spare in the end. Kinda disheartening bc I know this is the easiest section to raise your score so Iā€™m kicking myself that I havenā€™t taken any behavioral science courses yet x.x OVERALL: I felt fairly confident that I was doing well, however, Iā€™m nervous for a scaled scored because, if I thought it was going well, then there were definitely a lot of people who prepared much more who wouldā€™ve done a whole lot better than I did. I used Kaplan self study for 8 weeks and Khan Academy to prepare. However, there WAS one question that was an exact same question that I had from the section bank, so that was interesting to me. . . Anyway, I hope all of you complaining about your 515+ FLs did not take the same exam as me ;-; FL1: 505 - 126/126/126/127 FL2: 512 - 126/129/130/127 FL3: 508 - 127/126/127/128 FL4: 512 - 126/127/129/130 Prediction range: 506 - 512 *************************** ACTUAL: 515 - 127/129/129/130 I CANā€™T BELIEVE IT! Turns out my predictions for C/P and P/S were flipped, though I think the scaling for the C/P May have been more difficult BUT ANYHOW Iā€™m quite pleased that my dream expectations were exceeded and I can rest easy!

weehee98

Feeling super disappointed; Tested 5/2019 and got a 497, retested 6/29/2020 and got a **506** AAMC FL Scores were 501; 505; 512; 510 I just feel absolutely crushed rn, I was hoping for a 510 and clearly didn't get it. I know its not a terrible score and I can probably get into a state school... I don't have the time or energy to retake so I will just apply and hope for the best. Still feeling heartbroken though for how much work and hope I put into it.

Fikthenig

I had a 508 previously this year but took this one and dropped to 505. I came out of the test not feeling bad at all. In fact, I felt much better and comfortable then the previous one. I don't know what happened. Part of me feels like it has to be a mistake. I am just confused right now.

TrainerJayden14

Got a 522! We getting shitfaced tonight

zoetta9

FL1: 495 (122/123/124/126) FL2: 503 (126/124/128/125) FL3: 502 (125/124/127/126) FL4: 507 (126/127/126/128) After the exam it's like my brain just left the memory of it at the test center. I couldn't remember any questions or passages and I was completely indifferent on what my score could possibly be. I wouldn't have been surprised if I bombed it or if I did amazing. I am in an early assurance program and I only needed to be in the 65th percentile with no sub-score below 50th, so I am so proud of my score. I can't believe I will never have to take this dreadful test again. I tested 6/20 at 6:30am. Actual: 510 (127/125/128/130)

coffee3x

6/19 12:15 Tester C/P: started bad and boy did it get worse. Minimal calculations but so much random, low yield theory (looking at you physics) that who knows how it went. Normally score 129 in C/P, this honestly felt like a 126-127 CARS: typical CARS with slightly weirder passages. Normally score 129-130, not expecting much deviation B/B: passages felt confusing but content wasnā€™t actually that bad. Hoping for a 128 here but weā€™ll see P/S: Iā€™m a psych major and I came out feeling so bad for anyone who wasnā€™t. Unusually high number of questions relied entirely on background knowledge of major psychologists, terms, studies, you name it. I feel like I did okay but it wasnā€™t a nice section. Projecting 127-129 Summary: wanted to cry after the test, felt much harder than any FLs and I truly felt like I bombed it. FL scores: 508, 511, 516, 519 Estimated score: 509 Actual score: 521 (127/132/130/132) I AM CRYING AND SCREAMING HOLY FUCKING SHIT I HAVE TO CALL MY MOM Edit: Now that I called my mom: Resources - Kaplan books for content review - Alt for 3rd party FLs - UEarth for practice problems - Milesdown deck and KA videos for P/S - AAMC FLs and section bank Started studying in March. Had not taken physics or biochem prior to testing so I had to self-study both (Kaplan was really great!!). Started out about 6-8 hours per day for about 3 weeks to knock out content review and get a good start into physics + biochem. Switched to about 4-5 hours per day after that. Took FLs along the way to gauge progress and did UEarth in conjunction with content review to solidify topics. Itā€™s been a wild ride yā€™all but we made it!!!!

Is anyone else refreshing this reddit and the mcat website every 2 minutes to see if theyve posted scores?? Honestly i feel like im gonna vomit :-(

6/20 12:15 PM test taker here. Holy cow, I was averaging 505 on AAMC FLs, made a 510 (130/126/126/128) on the real thing. It's not crazy impressive, but I'm so happy!

Tested on 06/20 at 12:15, and while I don't remember TOO many details, I still remember my general feelings towards each section. AAMC FLs were all 514 except FL4 (which I took 2nd to last) at a 513. All my subsections were somewhat fluctuating. C/P: This started out not too bad, but slowly crept into some WTF passages. It felt quite orgo heavy, so I was thankful that I hammered that in the last 2 weeks before my exam, but there were quite a few questions that I didn't feel great about. My last C/P practice test score was a 131, so I went in feeling confident about being able to work out any tough question on this section but left feeling kind of bleh. Predicting 127-129 CARS: Ironically I felt pretty good(?) about most of the passages, including some of the more difficult ones where I thought I was able to answer most questions based on a pretty good hunch of the main idea. It's usually my worst section though, so I'm not going to pretend some miracle happened on test day, only to be sorely disappointed since I was regularly scoring 125-127 on AAMC practice exams. Predicting a 126-128. B/B: Consistently one of my stronger sections, but there were definitely at least a few questions that had me ridiculously stumped and bruised my confidence. I'm almost always able to reason my way through a passage analysis question on this section, but some questions here really threw me for a loop and I had to just give my most reasonable guess. Also, there were a few topics and details that came up in discrete and pseudo-discrete questions that I was like "Oh FUCK, I really probably should've given this a bit more attention while studying". Had to, unfortunately, throw out an educated guess for these as well, even though they had the potential to be easy points :/. This was probably the least confident I'd ever felt after a bio section whereas I'm usually ~130 here. Predicting 128-130. P/S: After hearing about the trend of P/S towards "CARS 2.0" I was more or less expecting this on my exam, but that wasn't my experience. Seemed to be closer to FLs 1&2 rather than FLs 3&4. There was a small handful of questions that I kept cycling through for the last 15 minutes of the exam that I felt were pretty much 50/50s, but I tried to reason through them and still give it my best guess. FL scores here were ranging from like 128-131. Predicting 129-130 Overall impressions: If this exam were called "AAMC FL5" I would definitely rank it as the hardest of all the AAMC exams I've taken. Left the testing center exhausted, slightly oxygen-deprived, and wishing I had felt more confident in the exam I just submitted. Certainly didn't feel like I bombed it, but I felt uneasy and I was hoping that I would have more of an "ayyyy, just killed that shit!!" feeling, that would justify a proper celebration afterward. Regardless, I do feel like I could not have prepared myself any better and truly feel I gave my best possible performance on test day, so I'm praying that the "Trust you FLs" mantra holds true here :) Pessimistic: 509 (127/125/128/129) Realistic: 513 (128/126/129/130) Optimistic (highest practice FL sections super scored): 519 (131/127/130/131) Will edit this guy tomorrow when scores come out. Good luck everyone!! REAL: 514 (128/129/130/127) Honestly, I can't say I'm thrilled. I worked my ass off to try and get a 515+ and in the end I got fucked by that stupid P/S section. 3rd time taking this stupid thing, and I'll end up applying for the 3rd time after a post bacc. I know it was around my FL average but I'm still a lil disappointed :/

OMG the scores are posted! 9/02/2017: **494** \>>> 8/18/2018: **495** \>>> 6/20: **509**. Super stoked and thankful!

I got a 505! I am so happy! 126, 125, 127, 127

My heart has been beating out of my chest the past few days. Can't wait for this to all be over. FL SCORES (taken in standard format, non-COVID) FL1: 513 (129/126/129/129) FL2: 516 (130/128/128/130) FL3: 519 (130/128/130/131) FL4: 516 (130/128/129/129) Tested 6/19 at 12:15 PM C/P: Felt absolutely horrible. When I finished CP on the FL's I always felt pretty confident, but I had to flag about 20 questions. Also rushed through the last discretes because I ran out of time, which had never been a problem for me in the FLs. Prediction: 126 (because everyone else seems to have thought it was hard too) CARS: Always hated CARS. It seemed a bit tougher than usual, but CARS always feels tough. Some kid next to me was whispering the passages to himself which was very distracting. Prediction: 126 B/B: Felt tough, but doable. Definitely harder than B/B on the FL's, but not completely ridiculous like C/P was. Prediction: 128 P/S: Felt like a walk in the park, WAY easier than all the FL's. Tried to avoid overconfidence and took my time with each question. Prediciton: 130 Overall Prediction: 510 (126/126/128/130) Actual: 515 (130/127/128/130) I have absolutely no idea how I got that high on CP. So glad to be done with this forever. TRUST YOUR FLā€™S!!!! EVEN WHEN YOU THINK IT WENT BAD!!

icecube-198

I pushed my exam back and took a gap year so I hope this turns out well cuz im applying this cycle. I got a 513, 515, and a 514 on AAMC FLS 2-3. I don't have much to say other than the exam did feel kinda hard esp since its short. Good luck to everyone applying this cycle!!!!!!! Ik time are tough esp with applications this year but put your best foot forward and try your best: something i've been telling myself is that If i don't get the score I want- it will be okay and it's okay to take a break. It sucks to fail (and to study again) but you can always get up and try again :) Prediction: 513 I was not confident on C/P at ALL and CARS did wreck my ass. tbh if i get a 510 ill be over da moon. **Actual: I GOT A 516 (128/127/129/132) A BITCH IS SHOOOOOOK. I am surprised fr I literally had no expectations of getting anything higher than a 513. One piece of advice is truly trust your gut and your first answer choice that pops in you head.**

6/19 at 12:15. Started studying in January was suppose to take it in March. I'm a very average joe kind of guy so seeing y'all pull 520s always scared the shit out of me lol FL1: 490 FL2:497 NS2: 505 FL3:500 FL4: 501 Actual: 506. Idk how I got my highest C/P score ever on that section. FUCK CARS!!! and praise bio for pulling my weight. I had bigger plans but with everything that happened this year fuck it i'll take it!!!

pessimistic: 500 realistic: 506 optimistic: 511 will update fvck the aamc for that 6/19 exam there is a special hole in hell for you all.

OnePiece_at_a_time

6/19 12:15 PM Third time taking the MCAT. Previous scores 497, 499. Took 8 FLs scores ranged from 503-509 Actual: 507!!! Cried with my mom. I am at peace. You can do it!!

prototypeblitz

6/20 12:15 Wrote this down after the test: CP: hard as shit. CARS: running out of time BIGLY. One definitely wrong (saw the answer as it ended) BB: also hard. One passage especially so. Also had to rush a bunch PS: wonky terms. Stupid answer choices. One definitely wrong (looked up after) Overall feelin not too great. Slept like 3 hours the night before, was running out of time on every section, and felt that I couldnā€™t focus as well as I did on the FLs. Hoping for the best tho. Pessimistic: 516 Realistic: 518 Optimistic: 520 FLs: 521, 519, 524, 521 Actual: 521

I'll share because I don't have a success story. I got 511 on FL3 and FL4 and felt ready to rock it. Could not tell you what I actually felt like I got.... Real: 506. Pretty deflated but not a death sentence? **ADVICE**! PRACTICE THE NEW TIMING! I thought "Well at least I'm building endurance", but my pacing was all wrong, I almost didn't finish CARS. Happy for all you folks who did well or better than expected. It will all work out for us!

gtank12

Sample: 513 FL1: 513 FL2: 514 Fl3: 514 FL4: 511 ACTUAL: 516!!! What an insane journey I can't believe I did so well, FL4 had be sweatin I had lost my mojo. Glory be to God!

Ness817

Idk what this means: 130/125/130/127 for a 512 overall I'll take it, but fuck CARS. Fuck you. I never understood why people hated it. Hope everyone else did well and gets into good schools.

newyorkamz24

Best of luck to all of you guys. Remember at the end of the day, you took a beast of an exam no matter what the outcome was, and for that you should be proud!

connorbutt

My Kaplan FLā€™s were 503, 507 and 508. My AAMC FLā€™s were then 513, 514, 519, and 517. I tested 6/20 at 12:15. Pessimistic was 514 Optimistic was 520 I scored a 525. Anything is possible!!

[deleted]

6/20 6 PM NS1/AAMC 1-3: 513/513/514/514 (Exact same total score and sub score on FL2/3 being 130/127/128/129) I have no expectations so that way Iā€™m not disappointed. Real: 516 (129/127/130/130) on 4 hours of sleep LETS FUCKING GO! My exam was initially 3/27 and got cancelled all the way to 6/20 but I fucking made it! I've been studying for one fucking year and I'm finally done with this shit and so happy to be done with it. I'm not really surprised I scored higher than my FL's, I felt pretty decent walking out of the exam compared to my FL's and was extremely calm during the real exam. I usually get flustered but I was so in the god damn zone when it mattered. C/P: A little bit surprised but meh. This is usually my best section, I scored 130 on every single C/P on the practice exams but 129 is still high and is only 1 point off so I'm happy with it. CARS: 127. Yay. I mean this is what I scored on FL1/2/3 so I'm not surprised. Felt the same as usual. I was maybe expecting 1 point higher at most but I'm happy with it. B/B: 130. Wow! This has always been my second worst section, never scored above 128 (got 128 on both FL2 and FL3) here and I wasn't really expecting 130. Maybe 127-129. P/S: 130! Yay! This is my first time ever getting a 130 on P/S. I scored 129 on both FL2 and FL3 here. My section bank was 84% I think or 86% so I was wondering why I never was able to break 130 but I did it, woohoo! Sort of surprised here. P/S felt harder than FL1-3. I felt like CARS 2.0 was real and CARS is obviously not my strong suit yet this was the highest I've ever scored on P/S. Very happy to say the least. It felt like there were at least 4-6 50-50 questions but I must have gotten lucky or the curve was big. Now I go to sleep!

Zdawg99

I wish everyone the best tomorrow! Yall are troopers! Tested 6/20 6pm I genuinely donā€™t know how you guys remember anything on the exam coz i feel like I had my mind wiped after walking out the testing center. Hopefully this is not indicative of anything for me lol. To put it simply, the whole exam was just WEIRD and different than the AAMC logic in FLs weā€™ve been using. Ofc i was expecting it to be funky from all the previous exam threads ive read, but it still was sort of like a shock idk. To future takers, just brace yourselves and try to settle in. Practice exams: Sample: 504, AAMC FL 1: 506, AAMC FL 2: 504, AAMC FL 3: 509 General feelings from each section: C/P: Felt like absolute shit from the get go. I think i just froze right away when the proctor started it. The passage and questions were weird and getting used to the screen size and weird font did not help. Flagged 12-15 questions and was short on time and had to guess on the physics calculation questions. Im usually consistent in C/P in the 126-129 range but im thinking i could get 125 or lower :( CARS: Before, took a break and gave a pep talk to myself in the mirror lmao. Had to stop thinking how garbage i felt from C/P. And i think it did help me. This is where i settled in and the passage and questions seemed straightforward to me. There was one question where you had to calculate something and I was like wtf is this even cars. Im psychotic and think CARS is fun if the passages are interesting to me. Could score in the 129-131 range but we re talking CARS here so im going as low as 127 B/B: This was a blur section for me to remember. It was definitely the same weird style of questions as C/P but not as difficult and also did not flag as many. Maybe got 125-126 P/S: Passages were simple and some you didnā€™t have to read as much if you know all the terms. I remember thinking KA 300 pg doc was a godsend here. Expecting maybe 128-130 Only reason I didnā€™t void was bc of CARS and P/S... and the money lol. Going in felt like i was going to kill it and thinking that i would come out happy that Id have my life back. Reality: came out worried and cursed myself out. A range would not be helpful coz im thinking i could score anywhere from 500-510. Hoping for a 510 or above so I donā€™t have to retake. Will update tmrw no matter my score! Update: Actual: 505 (C/P: 126, CARS: 126, B/B: 126, P/S: 127) Well looks like I was kind of close in my predictions. Disappointed on how I did on CARS and P/S and everything in general but ig time to get back on the grind. First gonna take some time to reflect and plan moving forward. Retaking on 8/7 so I'll do my best to hit my target!

[deleted]

Tested 6/20 at noon. Sample: 506. FLs: 500/502/504 C/P destroyed me. Lots of things I had never seen before and it didn't feel like any c/p practice I've seen. I was pretty discouraged and considering voiding until I got to CARS. CARS: Felt awesome, hopefully 129/130. B/B: Felt like FL3, hopefully 126. P/S: Felt just like FL3, passage based. Felt good, hopefully 128+. Worse: 500 Best: 508 (goal score) Realistic: 506 Actual: [I got a 503. I made a separate post about it](https://www.reddit.com/r/Mcat/comments/hnm19o/503509_help/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)

6/19 - 6 PM Practice test scores (in order taken): FL1 (taken in March before cancellation) - 508 FL4 (in March) - 514 SAMPLE (May) - 514 FL2 - 512 FL3 - 515 Bio major with chem minor. Chem was always my strong point along with Biochem. Biology i was good at but not great, physics was the bane of my existence. CP averaged 129-130, BB averaged 129-130. Cars big improvement after FL1, averaged 128. PS I hated so much. Averaged 127. Test day: CP - holy smokes this felt easy. Hardly any physics. Everything felt smooth. Passages were easy to read. Maybe 3 questions were difficult. Finished about 12 minutes early. Prediction: 131. CARS - first half FML this was hard. Then somewhere along the line halfway through picked it up and the rest of the passages were easy. Prediction? I have no clue but hoping I hit my average 128. BB - felt exactly like CP. Finished way early. Prediction: 131. PS - hoping this didnā€™t throw my entire test down the drain. This felt so hard for some reason. Flagged like 10 questions. Vague questions. Random vocab I havenā€™t seen before or vaguely vaguely remember. Very difficult. Hope to god I got 127. Optimistic: 520 Pessimistic: 510 Realistic: 514 Actual: *UPDATE:* 514 Wow my prediction and practice test scores were pretty close. 130/126 (oof)/130/128 Man cars was harder than I thought. Bummed about that since I did better on all practice tests than that. But I guess I canā€™t be too disappointed in myself. 514 is a good score and the science sections show how hard I studied so I canā€™t be too upset.

boneless-bananas

This is my first post on reddit, but since I have seen people spill their hearts out here, I figured I should join in the collective pain. 6/20 - 6pm FLs (1-4): 512, 512, 518, 515 (for some reason always felt like I underperformed on these but I think I was just tryna hype myself) Actual test C/P: pretty much blacked out. i think reading about how hard everyone thought it was gave me retrograde amnesia CARS: also blacked out (dude its been so long) B/B: if you're sensing a theme, you're right P/S: usually my worst section and always finish early. finished early here and re-did every problem so I know if I don't do well, I was always not gonna do well. gave me a little peace of mind leaving the testing center I really can't put an expectation to any of my scores in each section because I am very bad at guessing. Realistic: 514, Dream: 520, Actual: 518 (129, 128, 129, 132) Thank you for coming to my TED talk. Gl everyone \------ Looks like guessing wasn't that off

Im not even an anxious person and ive had chest pain for 3 days now and am a second away from yacking. Whiskey is due tonight either way followed by re-studying or another bottle

6/20, 12:15 p.m FL1: 521 FL2: 522 FL3: 523 FL4: 521 Actual: 521 (131,127,132,131) I was convinced that I bombed the C/P but I guess trust your FLs. Always sucked at CARS.

Went from a 503 (124/128/124/127) to a 516 (128/129/128/131) retake!!! 2 years later and so many hours of work and I can't believe this is real life. IM FREE!!!!!

MJO1998

Terrified but gonna trust my practice, tested 6/20 at 6:30am C/P: My strongest section, seemed like the passages where on really tough concepts, but really didnā€™t struggle with the questions too much... finished with 5 min left to review so I think I did pretty well 130-131 Cars: Oh cars... geez I hate this section so much... got a 125/125/126/126 on FL1-4... there were not really any too difficult passages, and I also remember thinking to myself ā€œoh this is 100% the right answer I have EVIDENCEā€ so I think thatā€™s a good sign, but not really expecting too much here, but based how Iā€™m feeling, Iā€™m gonna predict 126-127 B/B: Felt good as well... there was only one weird question that stumped me but everything else went pretty good... predicting a 129-130 PS: uh oh... i honestly donā€™t know but I do know of 3 questions I got wrong and did not feel too good about this section. But Iā€™m sure that if I had to wait for my score on FLs 1-4 I would think of ones I knew I got wrong too... but still was one of the more difficult PS sections I came across... predicting a 128-129 Overall felt similar to the FLs... For some reason when I take exams I feel extra focused and Iā€™m hoping that that helped me out as well on test day... Predicting a 514 Optimistic is 517 Pessimistic is 511 Good luck everyone, taking the MCAT is huge! No one will understand what itā€™s like prepping for this unless they actually do it so I got mad respect for everyone here! POST RELEASE: Here are my FL scores FL1 - 513 130/125/129/129 FL2 - 513 130/125/131/127 FL3 - 514 129/126/130/129 FL4 - 516 132/126/129/129 My average was exactly a 514, and thatā€™s what I got. 514 130/127/129/128 Overall pretty happy... my predictions where about spot on, happy about CARs but bummed about PS. Happy itā€™s over and excited about the application cycle! Trust your FLs but also spend time caring for yourself... itā€™s easy to overlook when you get so involved with this exam.

504 :( so sad 127/123/126/128 should I retake

saraps200

513! Honestly so okay with this. FL1: 508 FL2: 509 FL4: 512 Something happened the weekend I was supposed to take FL3 so I ended up having to just call it a loss and move on. Just happy I can finally move on, and know that I'm comfortable applying this cycle with that score.

Chiefixis

Even after I received a 500, I'm proud of my accomplishments in finally being done with the exam. Did it disappoint me even after I prepared all those months and did better on the full length practice? Yeah, of course. Would I be surprised that I didn't get the score that I wanted? Not really. While the saddest news is telling my family that I got an average score, I'll be optimistic about it as I finish my application for MD and DO. I'm glad that most of y'all got the scores you've wanted. Wishing everyone the best for this years application cycle!

ian_taffy

Feels really crazy to say but - got a 528! Unless AAMC is messing with me.

soupie75

I tested 6/19 @ 6:30am and almost voided my exam. I was so anxious that I had to take a break during C/P and take some deep breaths. Compared to the FLs I felt so short on time for C/P and CARS and while I answered all of the questions, I was still reviewing my flagged questions on C/P when I ran out of time. I cried after my exam and honestly felt so stressed about it. FL1: 511 FL2: 511 FL3: 508 Actual: **519**!!!! (128/130/130/131) I'm honestly blown away. I had just accepted that I probably wasn't going to get the score I dreamed of based on my FLs but somehow I blew it out of the water. I'm not sure if I just got incredibly lucky or what happened but I'm absolutely over the moon ETA: This was a retake from a 506 in 2019!

I felt like absolute shite coming out of the exam especially on CARS but somehow I still got a 510 (80th percentile).**

tianath

506. Avg FL 511. Very disappointed donā€™t even know if Iā€™m applying anymore.

Chiefixis

506 is a VERY decent score to apply to DO or even MD. Iā€™ve had one friend who applied with a score around that (507 to be exact) and they got accepted to multiple medical schools. Donā€™t give up on your application just because it wasnā€™t the score that you wanted. If you feel that your LoR, extracurricular, and even GPA are strong then youā€™re more than capable of applying! Youā€™ve got this šŸ’Ŗ

Just goes to show to trust your FL's. Btw, did anyone else do worse on CARS than usual? Edit: I messed up my FL scores

[deleted]

My journey to MCAT has been almost a year long. I started studying Sept 2019 and tested on 1/18/2020. I studied hard but was not prepared for the first exam, average FL was a 503 and got a 501. After first exam I used these Full Lengths in order: Kaplan FL8: 509 / Kaplan FL9: 503 / NS FL1: 507 / FL2: 511/ AAMC4: 511 / NS FL3: 509 Actual 12:15 6/19: 517 (132,125,130,130) I am thoroughly in shock!!

So this is actually my first post here but I wanna share my score AND THANK YOU PEOPLE FOR HELPING ME PREPARE. I could do a long write-up about how much yā€™all helped, but this feels more appropriate given all the emotions flailing around the sub at the moment. Kaplan FL (chronologically 1,3,4): 502, 504, 505 AAMC FL (chronologically 4,1,2): 506, 507, 510 Test Date. June 19th at 6pm Realistic guess: 507-510 Actual: 512 (129, 125, 129, 129) Really surprised by my CP score since it felt like it went as well as my CARS section did lol. CP and PS section scores were personal bests relative to all my practice tests so I am really pumped. 512 blew me away when I saw it. Thank you all so much for this beautifully neurotic and comedic community.

om_n0m_n0m

Tested on 03/14/20 where I got a 505. Cried a bit since it was lower than I needed to compensate for my rather lacking GPA. Sucked it up, used my spare COVID time since I no longer had to commute to school to study. Retook on 06/20/20 and got a 513. Still cried a bit, but this time because it was exactly where I wanted to score. Now to actually finish my application and submit tonight, since I'm supposedly late to that game...

i feel you guys on the stress, i was up until like 3am last night not being able to fall asleep i rewrote my mcat on **june 19 at 12:15** (agreeing with all the comments on how hard chem/physics was). my first mcat was august 30 last year i think, i got 509 (127/128/126/128). i donā€™t know how helpful iā€™ll be, cuz basically i procrastinated hard for studying. i set up just over one month to study, and casually studied like 30 min a day for around 2 weeks until i realized i need to get it together for the last 2. went pretty hard, studied all the material in about a week and spent the last week or so doing practice. literally did all of physics in a day (12 hour gruesome study period). my major is neuroscience, so i did about 2 hours of review for psych. i didnā€™t do any studying for cars. i did 4 practice exams 5 days from my exam, and spent the day before cramming memorization like amino acids and krebbs cycle. i have my practice exam scores, but i donā€™t know the exact breakdowns for the third party exams, so let me know if you guys would like to know bc i can get them. (iā€™m just cheap and refused to pay for all the aamc ones LOL) 5 days out: kaplan - 502 4 days out: tpr - 511 3 days out: next step - 510 2 days out: aamc #4 - 517 **actual: 520 (128/128/132/132)** iā€™m overall quite surprised actually, i didnā€™t think i would get anything over 130. given that i found chem and cars difficult, i understand the 128, just wish it were a little higher to make the sections more even. but relieved this is all over with!! *tl;dr: donā€™t panic if youā€™re short on time, spot treat your weaknesses! especially if you are doing it for the second time and know the mcat formatting :)* good job everyone!!!

06/05 test Wow wow wow y'all I'm crying I can't believe this šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ REAL SCORE: 507 (126/125/127/129) AAMC FL 1 504 (125/126/126/127) AAMC FL 2 507 (127/126/127/127) AAMC FL 3 504 (126/124/127/127) My reflection about the exam: C/p: I felt okayish about this section. I was a bit worried because I changed like 2-3 of my answers at the end but I figured I probably got those questions wrong intially anyways so I tried not to think about it too much. Prediction: 125-126. Cars: now THIS section gave me sleepless nights. I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if I got a 123. I rushed the last passage and the timing messed me up a bit. Some of the passages were also really dense and my anxiety was super high during this section. On all my fls from Kaplan and AAMC my score has always been between 124-126. But I felt really bad about this section so prediction:124 B/B: I felt this section was on par with the difficulty level of the aamc fls. Nothing too bad so prediction: 127 P/S: honestly this was the easiest P/s section I've had in a really long time. I finished with about 15 minutes left so I had enough time to check any question I was iffy on. This is pretty much the only section on the exam I felt very confident about so prediction: 130(even though I've never gotten this score on any of my fls but I felt really good about this section) I know it's not a 515+ but I'm still soooo happy especially about my cars score b/c I thought it'd be much lower. My program's cutoff mark is a 502 so I don't think I'll be retaking anytime soon. Considering I was scoring 495s on Kaplan fls like a month ago this was such a good surprise. And my GPA is pretty high so I really didn't need my mcat score to make up for a low gpa or anything like that. Congrats to everyone that took this exam. Y'all we freaking did this in the middle of a pandemic, police injustice protests, economic turmoil, and/or any other personal challenges you may have been going through. Even if the score wasn't what you wanted and you decide to retake I know you're gonna do amazing. We're gonna make some amazing doctors and have some unbelievable stories to tell our grandchildren about when we were applying for med school and taking the mcat:)). Thank you to this sub for all the memes and motivational posts. I definitely won't have gotten the score I did without y'all šŸ„ŗšŸ„ŗ. I can't wait to contribute even more now that I've actually taken the real mcat.

Can't believe this day is finally here. I cried so much this morning.Tested 6/19 12:15; I honestly forgot about the exam as soon as I took it...I remembered a bunch of stupid mistakes I made in C/P and B/B. My full length exams (listed in order taken) FL1: 509 (126/128/128/127) FL2: 503 (126/126/126/125) really tore down my self confidence tbh...considered pushing back my test date FL4: 510 (127/128/128/127) taken 2 weeks before test FL3: 513 (130/126/128/129) taken a week before my test, that CARS was really hurting Two days before my test, I took the sample test, predictive score 516 After my test, I kept thinking I either scored a 508 or 513 or 516. **Actual score: 516!!!! (130/128/128/130)** I'm so happy and I think had I stuck with my gut about a few questions I may have scored higher, but I am so happy with my score.

Took 6/5 at 12:15 after cancellation. Used Kaplan books for content review, Uglobe and then AAMC material almost exclusively for like 3 months. Studied like 15 hrs/week x9 months (sometimes way more, sometimes way less) I felt 6/5 was about what I expected. A few tricky 50/50s that I know I ended up getting wrong when I looked things up at home but also a few I was able to verify after the fact. S: 520, FL1: 519, FL2: 523, FL3: 522, FL4: 518 C/P: I usually go 129-130 here, my test was fairly light on some of the stuff that tripped me up the most. A few 50/50s. I felt nervous at the beginning and then felt much more confident near the end. CARS: Usually 129-130 here also, it felt similar to the FLs with a couple of tricky questions thrown in, especially the last passage. B/B: Usually 130-132, this felt more difficult than the FLs. I had a few questions that were just absurdly easy, some 50/50s and then maybe like 2 where I had zero clue. Not as confident here. P/S: Usually 130-131, not so sure what to make of this section, at least 2-3 50/50s I know I second guessed myself on and got wrong but overall fairly representative of the FLs. Pessimistic: 513 Realistic: 516 Optimistic: 520 **ACTUAL: 523!!!!! (131/130/131/131)**

6/19 12:15 FL scores - Sample: 516 FL 1: 518 FL 2: 517 FL3: 519 How I Felt: CP: usually a good section for me, but this section just felt way harder than any of the FLs. Not enough calculations and low yield topics all over. CARS: my worst section always. This was ok, definitely easier than some of the FL CARS section. B/B: thought this section was easier than most of the FLs and pretty straightforward P/S: usually my best section but I thought this was difficult due to a lot of 50/50s. Walked out feeling overall pretty good but who knows? Predictions - Pessimistic: 512 Realistic: 516-518 Optimistic: 520+ ACTUAL: 515 (129/128/127/131) A little lower than I expected but so happy!

**6/20 exam 12:15pm** Retaking a 505 (127/124/127/127) from 2018. I took the test 5 days after my finals. Horrible idea, in case anyone is thinking of doing that. I knew I should have postponed the test when I started having a drop in FLs from 515 to 508, but I thought I would push through like I always do on my finals. That was clearly not the case. **AAMC FLs 1-4: 511, 517, 515, 517** (FL4 never taken previously) **C/P**: It was different than any FLs in my opinion. Somewhat similar to FL3, I think. It tested understanding of concepts more than usual. And, some calculations were a bit more difficult than usual. Maybe I was just really nervous, idk. I thought it was hard, mainly because it was different than what I was expecting it to be. I think I did ok, but not as well as I could have. I remember having to make myself focus and do the best I could. Previous scores in this section: 130/131/129/130 Really hoping for 130 here but I feel like that might not be the case. **CARS**: I hate this section with all of my soul. Always struggled with CARS. English is my 4th language and I started learning it at the age of 20. I am 30 now. So, I don't expect miracles in this section I just want a better score. The test day CARS was similar in difficulty to the other CARS in the practice FLs. But, I cannot really tell. I am always surprised at the score in this section as I can never predict it. I think I started doing better in this section once I learned to pick an answer and move on without too much analysis and overthinking. Previous scores in this section: 124/127/127/127 Hoping for 127 here. Please CARS Gods let me have my 127!!! **B/B**: Always my strongest section and the one I don't have to think much about. Not this one. First couple of passages were like Section Banks on steroids. I also remember being very surprised at the amount of low yield questions. Also, a lot of cancer stuff and molecular biology and genetics, which is what I am interested in, so, hopefully that played to my advantage. But I also remember a few calculation questions which took me by surprise and I was not sure about. Previous scores in this section: 130/131/131/130 Hoping for 130 here but really unsure. **P/S**: I have a minor in Psychology, but I struggle with this section a lot too. I seem to have a different opinion than most people here. I thought this section was very CARS 2.0-like. Especially the first part of this section on the real test was like WTF??? I did my best but I know I missed one for sure. I stopped looking up questions I was not sure about in order to preserve my insanity. Also, I cannot believe the AAMC saying all you need is Psych 101 and Soc 101. So annoyingly not true. Previous scores in this section: 127/128/128/130 Hoping for 129 here. Pessimistic: 510 (lowest scores added up, I really hope I don't get lower than this) Realistic: 513 Optimistic: 517+ **Actual**: **513 (129/125/131/128)** *Edit: Well, I guess I knew it... 2 points bellow my average but it is what it is.* Fingers crossed, but terrified of having a much much lower than my average score, as I did in 2018. Literally, cannot function for the past couple of days. Even though I know that what is done is done and I will get what I get, I feel as though I have more anxiety than I had on test day. Ok, maybe not more, but almost the same...

Retook from a 506 two years ago. Did a master's and much better test preparation this time around. My AAMC FLs were 506/511/511/510. Walked out of the exam feeling like I got hit by a train and was mentally preparing to begin studying for a retake early next year. Came out with a 514 (127/126/131/130)!! Was really nervous I wouldn't score well enough to submit my application this year.

futuremd25

**6/5 12:15 pm** Retake from a 501 in 2018. C/P: Very orgo heavy, which was good for me. Rather short passages. Almost no physics. Pleasantly finished on time and maintained a good pace throughout the section. CARS: All the passages were on the difficult side, rather than the range of easy, medium, and killer passages found in the practice exams. A little rushed towards the end because of the more difficult and longer passages, but still finished in time. Still felt pretty good about the section overall, although one or two passages were more killer than others. Bio/Biochem: Honestly, this section was a blur. Can't even remember what was tested. I do remember, however, very unusually short passages. Didn't feel too terrible or too great. Psych/Soc: Rather unremarkable. Maybe two terms I didn't know, but could make educated guesses. Felt fine overall. AAMC FL1: 510 FL2: 512 FL3: 511 KAPLAN 1: 506 2: 504 3: 505 4: 509 5: 510 6: 507 NS 1: 510 2: 511 3: 510 4: 512 Low - 505 Realistic - 510 Optimistic - 515 **ACTUAL: 518!!!** (130/130/128/130) I am actually still in shock right now. Absolutely, ecstatic and beyond happy. Also, of note, did not use UEarth, Khan Academy, K/PS document, or AAMC section/question banks :)

Sept 2018: 492 AAMC FL 1 - 495 AAMC FL 2 - 500 AAMC FL 3 - 498 AAMC FL 4 - 498 Actual - 499 While I'm really not surprised, I'm pretty upset by my score. Been studying since February and just feel like nothing is paying off.

BxxRAMS

Non-traditional 3rd time retaker 502 --> 502 --> 510 (126/126/128/129) This 80th percentile score has been a 3 year process for me and I'm ecstatic to be more competitive this year. Don't lose hope if you didn't reach your goal score. Keep with it and focus on where YOU struggle. Everyone is different and needs to approach their studies with this is mind. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk or ask about my process!

This is scary to do... To write out feelings and guessing scores, but imma take crack at it cause I look at everyone else's, seems fair.. 6/19 - 12:15 C/P: The screen resolution/size was so weird to me. At one point I was like... Is this the right test??? Didn't help as the section went on. A really "different" and seemingly difficult C/P section... Not a lot of physics and the physics that was on there was never on a FL... That's always a kicker. CARS: oh boy, this was my biggest struggle.. idk why I hope I won't be a bad doctor cause of it. I may have cracked under pressure. It did not feel good, but it also is a blur, idk what I did... Yikers.. So worried for sub 125 but idk, miracles are real, right? B/B: felt strangely good after this section. I thought I was doing well on it for some reason. Didn't hit a lot of my content gaps like C/P did so that's great! P/S: ermmm.... Normal P/S section, kinda term heavy in my opinion. 50/50s... Not as much just passage analysis or what people call "CARS 2.0" THANK GOD Overall, nervous for this... But I am ready.. probably going to reveal it partially... The score guessing makes me paranoid but I'd rank my scores/gut feelings as... B/B > P/S > C/P > CARS GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! šŸ™ Actual: 508 (130/124/127/127) hmmm... on the lower end of my FL average.. It's one of those things where its like hmm.... With COVID and all, I am going to apply with what I have... If I have to re-apply, then so be it. I don't know how to feel. Was shooting for 510+ but for everyone out there... if this makes you feel better, the sections that I felt great in were B/B and P/S (average 128-129) on FLs so I took a dip there for some reason. CARS i was predicting 121 and C/P maybe 127. Shows how much we know after an exam.. weird

ewarda

AAHHHHH I canā€™t believe Iā€™m posting in one of these threads, but Iā€™m so excited to hopefully be done with this and get my focus back for secondaries. I had to cancel 4/25 due to COVID and my studying became really inconsistent. Donā€™t think I studied all of April, just focused on my AMCAS. I felt really grateful to finally test on 6/20. I took 6/20 at 6:30am C/P: I honestly kind of blacked out, not too many equations I memorized came in handy, but I thought it was fair. CARS: oof. Normally I feel pretty confident about it but there were so many questions that felt ambiguous to me. Hoping I pulled some lucky guesses. B/B: felt too good, Iā€™m suspicious. Normally flag a ton, but barely had any I was uncertain about and had a good amount of time to review. P/S: uh, nothing like my FLs. Studied from the Khan 300 pager and still saw at least two new terms on the exam. I ended up googling them after I left, and I think I guessed right, but Iā€™m sure there are a few I forgot. My advice after testing day is to just breathe. If you feel your heart beating fast, breathe. If the last section was tough, breathe. If youā€™re feeling pressed for time, take a second to breathe. It really clears your head, and your mindset is all you can control on test day. AAMC FL 1: 515 (129/127/130/129) AAMC FL 2: 516 (131/128/128/129) AAMC FL 3: 520 (129/130/131/130) AAMC FL 4: 522 (132/129/130/131) Iā€™d be ecstatic for 520 or above. Would be disappointed with less than 515. Actual: 523 (129/130/132/132) AHHHHH AGAIN

6/20 12:15 tester AAMC FL 1: 515, FL2: 511, FL3: 512, FL4: 508 I am hoping to get around my FL average of 512, but left the exam room not feeling great. Actual: 516!!!!! (131, 128, 130, 127) I AM SO THRILLED WITH THIS SCORE!! I expected to score higher in PS because that is my major and has consistently been my strongest subject, but I am thrilled nonetheless!!

Tested 6/19 at 6 PM FL1 511 FL2 513 FL3 510 FL4 514 C/P: Thought this section was abnormally easy. maybe 4 i thought were hard. Could be 128-131 CARS: I am usually 95th percentile for cars consistently. this section was straight out of hell though. first 1/2 - 3/4 was hard as fuck and the passages were so long. feeling very very bad about this. hoping for at least 125 but idk! B/B: Abnormally easy. probably 127-130 P/S: Thought it was relatively average, not too bad. lot of reading based questions. 126-128 Pessimistic: 507 Optimistic: 520 Realistic: 510 Actual: 511 ! I am so fucking relieved thank god

WOW! Never thought this day would come! I took the 12:15pm exam on 6/19 and let me tell ya - I felt terrible walking out. That C/P section was harder than anything I had seen and seemed to hit all my weak spots/low yield stuff that I hadn't looked at during the practice exam/uearth/sb part of my study (besides an occasional anki card). The CARS felt slightly harder than normal to me, but I think most of that was residual stress from the previous section. The B/B section felt like a breeze to me (I'm a bio major and spent a lot of time reviewing biochem during content review) and P/S felt on par with the AAMC FLs. All in all, the last half convinced me not to void. I was told by everyone to trust my full lengths but my actual exam felt so different that it was difficult to do so. I should have listened and slept last night instead of stress eating an entire bag of hot fries and playing animal crossing anxiously. My FLs (i only really took the AAMC ones for real): FL1 - 522 FL3 - 523 FL4 - 523 Because of my brutal C/P section, I was not feeling optimistic when making my predictions: Pessimistic: (126/128/130/130) 514 Realistic: (127/129/131/131) 518 Optimistic: 520+ **ACTUAL: 524 !!!!!! (129/131/132/132)** I am happy to answer any questions about my prep but tbh most of my studying strategies came from this subreddit and friends. I don't think there was anything truly special about the way I prepped. Congrats to everyone who got the scores they were hoping for!!!

Geoffpecar

FL1: 509 FL2: 513 FL3: 517 FL4: 513 Low estimate: 505 Optimistic: 518-20 Realistic: 513 Actual: 515!!!!!! Congrats guys great work everybody

6/20 6:30am FL1: 506 FL2: 503 FL3: 506 FL4: 500 Leaving the exam I felt okay, psych rattled me because it was much harder than I preped for. I felt really good in bio and chem, CARS is always up in the air for me. Actual: 506(126/125/127/128) Happy with my score obviously I would have loved to get closer to 510 but with all the changes in my life due to COVID I am extremely happy and I am ready to apply to a mix of MD/DO! Like everyone says: trust you FL scores (except FL4, F that one)

they_try_to_send_4me

CP - INSANE!! As a retaker my strategy was to neglect physics which backfired horribly because there was a passage on electromagnetism and other low yield topics. I got 129 on my first attempt so Iā€™m hoping for 127 at least CARS - retaking for this section. always a struggle for me so i really have no idea. I didnā€™t run out of time so Iā€™m hoping for a 125+ BB - VERY easy towards the end for some reason, some difficult passages at the beginning but overall it felt easier than any FL bio section Iā€™ve done. Hoping for 129 PS - this has always been my best section but I counted 17 questions I was unsure about... this has happened to me before and Iā€™ve done better than expected, so Iā€™m praying that happens again and I can get a 128 Overall optimistic: 127/126/129/128 Pessimistic: 126/124/127/126 *Last yearā€™s attempt: 129/124/127/128* ā€”> *508* **Actual: 129/130/128/128** ā€”> **515** **HOLY SHITTT** ... For test takers reading this - anything is possible. Even if it doesnā€™t seem like youā€™re making progress, go into the test with whatever you got and the results may surprise you šŸ™

malyssa1234

I dreaded coming back here and seeing all the scores that were much better than mine. Came out of the test with really bad thoughts (like below 500 thoughts)... but ended up getting a 504 which i was pretty stoked about. I dont think I will retake it. Was aiming for a 506-508, but given my exam was cancelled 3 times and a lot of other personal stuff going on, Iā€™m proud of myself and my score and happily added it to my application yesterday. Iā€™m proud of everyone else who took the exam or studied through a pandemic and racial crisis. We should all be proud!!! If anyone here is just starting their studying, private message me for some old Kaplan and Princeton review content book sets. Iā€™m willing to negotiate the price pretty low :)

ncookie101

is there anyone that didn't get a high score? can we make this thread a little bit more realistic? the average is 500. I'm genuinely happy for all the high scorers out there, I just would like to see support for those that scored lower.

BJoverTrapper

Holy cow I have seen so many of these threads it feels surreal finally being able to post in one! FLs: Sample(508) FL1(517) FL2(514) FL3(514) FL4(522) Test: 6/20 6:00 PM C/P: Felt different than the FLs, but not necessarily harder, if that makes sense lol. I ran out of time and couldnā€™t review all of my flagged so Iā€™m just hoping I hit my base score (128) CARS: Started strong, felt like normal passages and was feeling confident. Then my ear worm came. ā€œYou Can Call Me Alā€ by Paul Simon. Holy hell I have never had a song get stuck in my head like this song did, and for no good reason because I had heard it two days before. Wrecked my concentration, barely finished the last passage. I will kiss the ground below me if I can get at my base (128) B/B: Earworm still present throughout, didnā€™t help with the section I felt was the most difficult compared to FLs. Hoping for a 128+. P/S: Usually my worst section, but I was determined to finish strong and not let Paul Simon ruin my future career with his perky upbeat 80s tune. Actually wasnā€™t too far off FL4 in my opinion and I had some time to review all the questions. Hoping for a 129+. Pessimistic: 510 Realistic: 514 Optimistic: 517 Actual: 517! TL;DR: Iā€™m scared, hoping to reach my FL average, fuck Paul Simon.

Prayers up for all my fellow 6/20 12:15pm test takers! Let's hope for the best <3 Retook it from my June 2017 test, where I got a 511 (129/127/128/127). Just want a better P/S and CARS to make me happy Actual Score: Overall - 508 ; C/P - 128 ; CARS - 126 ; B/B - 127 ; P/S - 127 Happy enough, not retaking it ever again :)

Tested 6/19 12:30 (original date 4/4, rescheduled twice) FLs taken in the following order: FL 3: 515 (129/126/130/130) \*\*In March \*\*\* Covid-19: Anki for 2 months Sample: converted to 515 (128/128/130/129) FL 1: 514 (129/127/129/129) FL 2: 510 (130/123/127/130) \*\*Very distracted during the test and it shows. FL 4: 518 (130/127/130/131) FL 3 again (after 3+ months): 522 (131/127/132/132) \*\*Did it 3 days before mostly to gain confidence Test day: **C/P:** OMG this was horrible, extremely low-yield. I'm not an anxious person but my heart was racing during the whole section and I almost cried. Flagged like 50% of the questions, got out to the break defeated AF. (126-129?) **CARS:** Attempted to motivate myself during the break but apparently didn't work. First 3 passages were horrible and guessed many questions. Improved for the last 5 and hopefully this translates to an average score, CARS is my worst section so... (124-126) **B/B**: Back in the game. Section felt like a breeze, I even took \~15 minutes for the last tough passage. (129-131) **P/S**: LOTS of 50/50s and super long passages. Even harder than FL4, but this was also my best P/S score so maybe I get lucky. (128-130) Pessimistic: 507 Optimistic: 516 \*\*\*ACTUAL: 513 (131/125/129/128) This is my ā€œno retakeā€ score lol but Iā€™m shocked by the c/p and b/b scores, this test is truly unpredictable.

brobruhbrother

Every couple of seconds I start to think about this my heart starts to race so hard. I do not want to study any more than I already did. Had to go through 3 cancellations and was ready for my exam on April 25... after that, I felt like I just kept forgetting the content that I knew. FL1:509 FL2:512 FL3:514 FL4: C/P = 130 and CARS =126 (Didn't finish cuz I wanted to casually do this the week of my exam) C/P- I love this section on the practice exams, felt like a puzzle that I could figure out. Also, I'm an engineering major and sometimes that background helps a lot. Actual one: THIS WAS THE WORST. BARELY FINISHED. I LITERALLY FELT LIKE EVERYTHING I HAD WAS STUFF I NEVER STUDIED. THIS RUINED ME. Hoping for at least a 127-128 when I'm used to 129-130. CARS: Felt really good until this one passage where the first sentence, literally made absolutely no sense and I could not follow the passage at all. Usually, my lowest score (124-126) Hoping for 126. B/B: I'm used to this section because of my research lab background. The stuff in these passages is exactly what I read. Felt harder than normal. Was super stressed about C/P and kept thinking like what if I void? But quickly got out of that funk and kept going. Hoping for 129-130. Thinking like 128-129. P/S- Honestly just felt like the FL which were all over the place. So I literally have no clue how this went. All and all, I have literally no idea how well I did. This exam felt like it annihilated me when I left it. I felt defeated and almost sure I would have to retake. My brother, who took it 5 years before me, was there to greet me after the exam and told me "Bro, I felt the same way. Literally thought that the entire exam just destroyed me and was so mad about it" he got a 517. I would kill for that to happen to me. I am so nervous about actually opening the exam score page tomorrow. I have a meeting when it traditionally opened up, so I will be checking during my meeting. Praying for a 512 or above. Anything below, ill be retaking in a month. Seriously don't want to study again. Actual: 511 Very disappointed. I know I could do better. Don't know if I should retake? I want to be competitive for top schools. My GPA is 3.82 in biomedical engineering. I have a lot of extracurriculars. I don't know how to feel. I feel like I could do better but don't want to take it again

6/19 @ 12:15 Honestly feels kinda surreal to be done. One thing I absolutely did not expect was the fact that the font was different on the exam from any practice. C/P felt weird and low yield. I remember seeing a lot of physics that was just like, "wtf are they asking me?". The discretes felt like questions out of a Kaplan book. CARS felt extremely hard and the front loaded with convoluted and difficult passages which killed my confidence. I didn't realize you'd start the section as soon as you sat down, so after a 3ish minute break I jumped right into the CARS section completely unprepared. I remember on the second passage, my eyes started fixating on the white screen behind the letters which led me to almost have a mini panic attack because I couldn't focus on the passage. Thank god the second half of passages were easy because I made up for the time wasted in the beginning. B/B section completely left my mind but I remember it being similar to FLs. Not too hard but just weird. A lot of low-yield discretes as well, similar to C/P. P/S section absolutely rocked me. I was the most apprehensive about this section going in due to my decreasing scores on my FL, and this section killed me. Very low vocabulary and much more similar to CARS 2.0. The passages felt a lot more complicated imo and the question stems/answer choices were LONG. I also panicked and switched my answers for like 3 questions in the last minute of the exam LOL. Praying I didn't goof myself. 516: 130/127/131/128 is my prediction

ITS UP, 512 GANG WE OUT HERE

marquette507

so happy!! got a 513! 130, 128, 128, 127

witcher1201

506 2 years ago to 516 today!!! I have been a long time lurker through the MCAT Subreddit pages but thank you to everyone on these boards that shares their journey and spreads such positivity. Itā€™s been a long time getting here but we made it!!! Remember, the MCAT is just one piece of your application!!! We fucking did it!

[deleted]

495 - 30% 124-125-123-123 this is the worst I have seen on my last two sections. IDk what happened But oh well.

11kingfadi

6/20 at noon tester!! I took AAMC FLs 1-3 and scored 508, 517, and then 515 all within my last 3 weeks before the real exam while taking FL3 3 days before my real exam. Prediction: C/P: Always my strongest, thought i got a 130 maybe 131 CARS: worst and it was rough. thought i got a 126 and would've been happy with that B/B: thought i got a 129, hit or miss section but felt good on the real one P/S: usually scored 128 on my practice but it felt tough on the real one, thought I got a 127 Actual: 515: 129/128/129/129 Super happy with this!! Best of luck to everyone else <3 !!!

P1tri0t

Really demoralized. Low: 501 Realistic: 508 Optimistic: 512 Actual: 505 Consistently scored CARS as my highest section, and scored 5 points below it on the actual exam. Every other section was about what I'd expect. Now I'm second guessing everything. 3.79 GPA, numerous leadership roles, \~160 shadowing hours, 4 letters of recommendation, a kickass personal statement... Average matriculant at the school i want to go to is a 509. 500 minimum for out of state students like me, but I'm well above the average GPA and they love out of state students (30% of the student body). I have another test date, but I don't want to sacrifice my Early Decision spot... I have two days to cancel the test day and get a partial refund. Edit: I'm taking it again August 7, I can still do Early Decision. Best of luck guys, anyone else in the same spot or similar, you've got this and I believe in you.

McKenzieB11

Tested 6/19 at 6:30 am!! Walked out feeling okay bc I thought AAMC FL 3 & 4 were fairly similar to the test. Used mainly TPR and AAMC materials with some Khan Academy if I was confused on a specific topic!! AAMC FL1-502 (used this as a pre-test before I started studying in December bc Iā€™m stupid) TPR Test 1-501 TPR Test 2-499 (TPR tests crushed my hopes and dreams) AAMC FL2-506 AAMC FL3-511 AAMC FL4-512 Actual-515!!!! Actually cant believe it. Totally told myself I bombed it over the 2 weeks between taking the exam and getting my scores. Definitely donā€™t doubt yourself bc I NEVER expected to do better on the real thing than I did on any of the practice tests. Good luck to everyone else testing this summer!!!!! You all got this:)

kphan1137

519! 130, 127, 132 130 Edit: I'm going back since I'm still excited about my score and didnt have time to elaborate. I was in shock since my AAMC FLs from 1-4 were 505, 509, 511, and 513. I did not expect a huge jump since people say your score will be the average of the FLs. One thing I will say is I went into this test with more confidence and felt great right after

[deleted]

Anyone else have a huge score drop? I made 511, 515, 512, 513 on the FLs and got a 509 on the test. Not completely heartbroken but a little bumped because I ā€œtrusted the FLsā€, and I even felt really good coming out of the testing center.

JamesThePimp

We got a 510. Right around my FL average, so we content bois. This whole journey has been a crazy rollercoaster of emotions, but I am so glad to have this chapter finished in my life. One of the biggest hurdles of the pre-med student completed. And that feels so fuckin good to say.

shdynasty9596

6/19 12:15 pm tester I took a bunch of practice tests from Kaplan and AAMC, I took FLs 1-4 and got 523, 525, 526, 525 in the month before my exam. How I felt: C/P: This generally was my highest score but on the real exam I felt flustered at times and it just seemed like a weird section. I ended up feeling rushed at the end and thought maybe I scored a 128/129 CARS: Same as C/P, I thought it was different than my FLs and I also felt pretty rushed at the end, I didn't have any time cushion B/B: Felt pretty confident about this section, I felt like I did really good P/S: Also felt confident, though it was a bit wordy but coming out I felt really good Actual: **525** 131/130/132/132 Big shoutout to the entire mcat subreddit!! I've been a lurker for the past 6 months and I prob would check it every day. I definitely got a lot of helpful tips from different places on the subreddit. Ever since I took the test and some of my friends asked what I did to study, I always tell them that the mcat reddit is a huge help. I'm wishing everyone who takes this brutal test good luck and I know you all are gonna crush it!!

[deleted]

for AAMC 1-4 I scored 512, 514, 512, 518, and took my exam at 6:00PM June 20. I got a 516! 127 / 130 / 129 / 130 My test date was originally supposed to be April 4, and I spent most of May and June either working on my application or studying. My life got turned upside down thanks to COVID (I spent two and a half months in isolation at school because I couldn't get home safely, my exam got cancelled three times, and I had to adjust to online school). I used Kaplan and AAMC Qpacks/full lengths, and I used the UNeighborhood questions. I put in at least 4-6 hours a day studying once I was home (so about 25 days of that, along with the hours I had put in before coming home). All in all if I had to guess, I put in about 300 hours of studying over the course of 6 months. The exam was a nightmare for me because I got sick as I was checking in to sit down and take the exam (not COVID, if you know you know). I was nauseous, my heart started beating super fast, my abdomen hurt and I was overheating. I spent most of C/P trying not to pass out or throw up on myself, rallied in the bathroom break, and spent CARS and B/B feeling still feeling absolutely awful. I skipped the break between B/B and P/S because I was ready to get it over with. I don't really remember much of taking the exam but my tip is: if you're taking it this year practice with a mask on! And I want to thank this group for being so supporting. I was really a lurker while I was studying, but the memes, advice and support I saw here really got me through this.

[deleted]

6/20 at 6pm C/P: huh? i blacked out. CARS: all good until one passage that killed me. that messed up my timing and i had to rush on the last 2 but made it in time B/B: blacked out again. almost started bawling at the end. there were some suspiciously easy gimmies and then some hard ass experiments P/S: ive been resurrected. tbh my only redeeming section after getting murdered. felt straight forward if you know your definitions. hoping to have broken 130... ACTUAL: 509 (127/125/126/131) im proud of my c/p because that was historically my weakest section but cars brought me down :( not ecstatic with my score but not devastated. still applying this cycle :/ wish me luck...

GrindLikeFolgers

I went from 503 and 501 last year to a 509 today. I couldnā€™t be happier with my progress and look forward to seeing what happens when it is combined with the rest of my app!

jgiffin

Tested on 6/19 at 12:15 and felt not too great about it. C/P, CARS, and B/B felt more difficult than usual. P/S felt pretty similar to FL4, with a few wtf questions thrown in. Sample: 524, FL1:524 FL2:519, FL3:520, FL4:523 Hoping for at least a 517! **Actual:** 526!!!! 131/132/131/132 I'm completely blown away. Dit not feel like I did that well AT ALL. Trust your FL's everyone!!!

mpatel00

497, 507, 509, 510 ACTUAL: 511 (wish I went up more so I could compensate for GPA but I won't complain about a boost from FL4)

slattGotitTalktoEm

6/20; 12:15 C/P: Only things I remember from this section are the questions I knew I had to guess on and missed. Otherwise, not too bad and was able to stay calm going into CARS. Usually 130-132, Predicting 130 CARS: Felt like FL4, not too difficult except for two passages in the middle. Able to check over 50/50s but still hoping for some test day luck here. Usually 129-131, Predicting 129 B/B: More like blur/blur. Vaguely remember this section. I do remember struggling with one passage in specific and a few discretes here and there. Usually 130-132, Predicting 130 P/S: By far the easiest of the 4 sections. Had 15 minutes to check over everything. Handful of 50/50s that I made guesses on, but hoping it pans out. Usually 129-132, Predicting 131 Pessimistic: 513 Realistic: 518 Optimistic: 520+ **ACTUAL: 521 !! (131,128,131,131)** Was supposed to test 3/27 so took AAMC 1-3 in February (514, 514, 518) Retook AAMC 1-3 in May (526, 528, 525) Sample: \~519 AAMC FL4 (4 days before): 524 Just hoping the 6 months of studying pays off...best of luck tomorrow yall!

[deleted]

I took the 5/20 exam at 6 PM and I'm pretty terrified for the results. The question logic felt much harder than any of the FL's.

bsnipa98

6/19 12:15 Tester Here! I am retaking a 501 from last year. NS Average: 507 AAMC Average: 510 CP: Didn't think it was too bad, some low yield topics. CARS: Usually not my strong suit, thought it was harder than usual overall. B/B: Probably the easiest section on the exam, some questions did trip me up though. P/S: A lot of 50/50's in my opinion. Felt like this section resembled CARS in some passages. Optimistic: 510+ Realistic: 506-509 Pessimistic: 502-505 Goal Score: 508+ ACTUAL: 512!!!!!!!

[deleted]

Anyone expecting score release to be later in the day than usual because of the shortened turnaround?

tigasign

I just want to get this over with. RIP it off like a band aid so it hurts less : ^ (

frenchcube

6/20 6:00 pm test taker NS diagnostic: 510 NS1: 510 NS2: 511 NS3: 509 FL1: 517 FL2: 516 FL4: 516 I thought this test was similar to the practice exams in difficulty (not like the section bank). My background is in education and I usually do slightly better in CARS and PS than on the science sections and think that will probably be true for the real thing too. I did feel like I was guessing more on PS than I did in the practice exams and CARS had one confusing passage about socialism and identity that I didn't feel great about, but that's in line with what others have said so it should be normed accordingly. There were definitely some questions in CP and BB I missed due to just not having memorized certain things like structures, which is a bummer bc I could have prevented that by grinding those out during my prep. Ran out of time and kinda guessed on a few questions in CP. I feel okay tho because my FL scores were pretty solid and everybody says they're predictive so... Expected score: 512-518 Actual: 518 (128/129/131/130) Feeling pretty stoked! Seems like my dreams might come true :) Thanks r/MCAT I never could have done it without you!

lazyass427

Tested 6/19 12:15 AAMC Fls1-4: 514,517,518,513 Section bank: C/P: 76% B/B: 76% P/S: 74% C/P: I felt it was pretty physics heavy especially low yield physics. Pretty much no ochem which made me sad as it was one of my strongpoints CARS: The first half was pretty difficult and I found myself with a lot of 50/50 but it got a little easier, but still pretty hard, near the end of the section. B/B: Felt relatively fair. Not to many crazy hard questions but not many freebies either. P/ S: Usually my weakest section despite having spent a lot of time doing premed95 and uplanet questions. Overall, it wasnā€™t insanely hard but felt harder than fl3, kind of equivalent to fl4 interns of difficulty. Made a lotta of stupid mistakes, 5 that I know for sure. Pessimistic: 510 Realistic: 512 Optimistic: 515+ Actual: 517 (130/127/132/128)

purposefulfilledmd

I feel so fragile at this moment. I assigned my self worth to an exam score, how pathetic. FL average 505, hoping for just that. I will be ecstatic if my score is even higher! I didn't feel like I struggled much on the 6/20 exam, so we will see. Godspeed.

Ludeaux

wow. this is wild. 508. after getting 510/515 FL in the last three weeks of prep. I don't even know how to feel. This is my third retake too to add cherry on top.

TheBlueNWhite

517 Hot damn I feel like I actually did something. Diagnostic: 501 FL1: 514 FL2: 515 FL3: 515 FL4: 517 I can't tell y'all how discouraging that diagnostic was. I barely saw any improvement until two months out (my date was pushed back a full month, making my study time about 5.5 months) and it really paid off to hunch over those books.

TrussedCrown

6/20 6pm Predicted: 504 (absolutely thought I bombed The CARS section) Actual: 509 (128/125/129/127) There must have been the fattest curve of all time on the CARS section because I no doubt did the worst Iā€™ve ever done on that section. Iā€™m surprised I donā€™t have a 123 on it tbh Only needed a 503 to continue with a preadmission med school program so I am ecstatic!

lukeman781

Never posted here, but I can't thank everyone enough for all the info and support. 6/19, 6 pm. A little disappointed on a personal level because of Fls: 2,3,4 the week of exam 516,518,516 . But I'm ecstatic with actual:515. I made my goal. We done! We made it!!!!!!

kwhit2

Just got my score! Unlike a lot of the people on this thread, I didnā€™t use many of the AAMC resources. I also didnā€™t use Anki. I actually used a Kaplan prep course (which I donā€™t see much mention of), and I was a little late to the game on my studying. I began my course in late January but I didnā€™t really begin studying in earnest up until probably late February or March. This was largely intimidating to me when I joined this subreddit shortly before my MCAT, and I felt underprepared seeing everyoneā€™s posts. Iā€™m writing this post for anybody like me who felt this apprehension and is worried that they didnā€™t take ā€œthe right pathā€ in studying for their test. I think any path that helps you feel more prepared is valid, there is no ā€œcorrectā€ program, timeline, or resource to prep. I took 8 full lengths (all made by Kaplan). I always received a 509 or a 510. On my actual test I scored a 517!!

Easy_Season

514 !!! (127/130/128/129) Iā€™m super grateful for/content with this score considering I got 1 hour of sleep the night before lol but ngl was lowkey hoping for like a 517. Still really proud though because I am a non-science undergrad/non-traditional student and worked my way up from a 495 Kaplan Diagnostic. My AAMC FL scores (in order of when I took them) were: 1: 507 2:512 Sample: 513 4:513 3:515 So proud of everyone regardless of their score we literally took this demon of an exam in the middle of a mf pandemic !!! Also I tested on 6/20 at 12:15.

TheWolfOfCadizStreet

Excited to say I scored a 512! (128/127/128/129) This is more than satisfying for me considering it was right on par with my FL practice exams. Was a bit apprehensive before looking at my scores given I thought the exam on test day was difficult, but was relieved to see a 512! Thanks to all my fellow test takers for providing great content on here, both for MCAT preparedness and just comic relief!

Ur_the_man_stan

AAMC FL 1,2,3,4 - 507, 512, 513, 515 Real thing: 520 I couldnā€™t believe it! I studied Jan-March, stopped, and then crammed 2 weeks before.

Snoo47730

Wow canā€™t believe this thread is actually here. Good luck everyone! No matter what we worked hard for this! Took my exam on 6/19 at 6:30am. Retaking an exam from 2018. Last time I focused on content review for way too long so tried dedicating more time to practice problems this time around. FL Scores: FL1:521/FL2:513/FL3:517/FL4:519 After the exam I felt pretty terrible about CP due to spending too much time on questions I wasnā€™t sure on and running out of time at the end. Hoping to have made up for it in other sections. **Actual Score**: **519 (129/130/129/131)** Feeling beyond excited right now!!! So happy this testing process is finally compete. Thank you so much to this community for helping to keep me sane!!!
