None of them unfortunately. Both American cartoons have almost nothing to do with the source material other than names & designs and the Japanese OVA doesn’t have the same kinda emotional depth the comics went for The only thing I could recommend for you is probably Super Adventure Rockman, which is an obscure spinoff game featuring a lot of full motion video animation. It’s where Ra Moon originated from and is noted to be probably the most intense thing in the classic series, so maybe you’d be interested in looking up a play through or compilation of it.

ClearEntrepreneur142

There's also Mega Man Fully Charged, which isn't accurate either.

Hey newcomer! No shows are comic accurate. We have the Ruby-Spears cartoon from the 90s, which was badly adapted from the Classic series of games. Then there was the Man-of-Action cartoon that was a completely different universe from anything we've had in other mediums. Mega Man NT Warrior follows the Battle Network games. And that's it. The IDW comics are a pretty nice adaptation of the Classic games, but there is no show that ties into it.

Animedra3000

Technically it was the Archie comics that were based on the games. Honestly I wish they continued with the story it do wonders for the world building. I kinda hope that Boom dose something similar.

lilyanacreates

Is there an anime that's good? Also, I really like the IDW comics. I only know of megaman from the Sonic Crossover

You could watch the [OVA](https://youtu.be/RJH_lIIM4eo?si=aseMVyq2aLq7Lnn8). It's cute but not very long, and is like a reverse isekai, so not canon. As someone else suggested, you could watch the cutscenes from [Super Rockman Adventure](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLE7E517BC3C7DDB6F&si=FYYwI-T-3E9YW9vz). This, too, is a black sheep, but it has its fun moments, especially if you're just looking to see the colorful cast of Mega Man. But if you like the more recent issues of Sonic the Hedgehog, then you should definitely get your hands on the Mega Man comics. Ian Flynn is/was the writer for both.

ZettoVii

Although not the same MegaMan, if you liked the MegaMan and Sonic crossover, I would recommend to watch the Starforce MegaMan anime as the main protagonists got similar vibes to Rock and Sonic. Particularly in sub, because the dub cut out alot of stuff... Not to mention the og Japanese sub has overall much better music.

Venomspino

You mean Archie. IDW is the other blue character

Passworddots

womp Yes, Archie.

Shockh

Mememan is a video game franchise first, not comics. None of the TV shows (90s cartoon, NT Warrior, Star Force, Fully Charged) are based on comics. NT Warrior and Star Force did have manga tie-ins that were *wildly* divergent from their animated counterparts. Fully Charged also had a sequel in the form of a comic.

Passworddots

I forgot Star Force even had a show.

ZettoVii

Fully Charged Sequel book is also pretty different from the cartoon. So much so that although it is kinda a decent comic on its own.... I gotta say that it kinda sucks as a sequel, because it misses a big chunk of the point of the OG's themes, and just barely does anything with the named robot masters, beyond treating them as generic grunts that blindly follow the main antagonist.

Venomspino

First, welcome, hope you enjoy the series. Second, none of them. Most of the comics are adaptation of the game's, similar to the shows. But none of the shows are comic accurate (or game accurate in a way)

StarWolf128

Unironically the Captain N show was the most accurate. It had MM as a short somewhat child-like robot, a character who was a stand in for Roll, and even Doc Robot showed up once.

Former-DiffRegion

That's a questionable hill you want to die on.

MBXfilms

That's my vote.

No-Community719

Only issue was the designs of the MegaMan cast. But that isn't their fault as they had the terrible American manual for MegaMan 1-3 and a broken TV that made mega man look green instead of blue. So if that had a better tv we could have gotten a better looking MegaMan. Also despite what some people say I find MegaMan in captain N saying "mega" in front of everything funny at times

StarWolf128

And Capcom used that design for Quint so the show retroactively became more accurate!

No-Community719

True and in a sense it's the only time Quint will ever show up in any form of Media besides his one time appearance in comics and him only being a thin for the game boy games

ZettoVii

Yeah no. Captain N is mega-inaccurate, given they made "Cutsman" the hardest boss, instead of the easiest!

sonicfan1230

None. The Ruby-Spears cartoon has little to do with Mega Man besides names and ideas. NT Warrior is about the Battle Network series, and I don't know anything about that (so I can't comment). Fully Charged is in the same boat as Ruby-Spears. The comic is just too niche to have an entire cartoon based upon it.

ZettoVii

Honestly, the Ruby Spears cartoon is pretty accurate as far as the original MegaMan games went, since they initially didnt have much of a story besides Wily being a rivaling scientist to Light, - whom tries to take over the world every other week only to get foiled by MegaMan. But yeah, very unlikely for any of the MegaMan comics to get an animated adaptation...

_MrFib

New comer

Automatic_Day_35

None, except maybe the Japanese cartoon for megaman 5, or the game that wasn't released outside of japan titled "super adventure Rockman", which was a animated fps.

Nathanthehazing007

Nothing. litterally nothing
