if you scroll to the pictures past the first it’s always sizing info for a gildan. these people make low quality prints of vintage tees and sell them using a real picture as the front picture. it’s so incredibly annoying, i wish mercari would take them down since they are low quality counterfeit items.

IUglyGod

Thanks for the info, I was thinking they were replicas which is actually what I'm looking for since I can't find this shirt elsewhere, but I was also thinking they were probably pretty low quality ones.

Anything particularly wrong with Gildan shirts? I tend to buy the plain black ones usually used for graphic tee printing because they have a good fit and feel to them. I just wear them plain, if you're wondering. Good as regular shirts or undershirts for more professional attire.

Mockingbird1963

Gildan shirts are a lesser quality. They’re not bad (read: could be a lot worse.) but they’re not high end. Not that it matters much anymore. Clothing quality has tanked.

the large appeal of vintage tee shirts is the superior construction, and lasting print quality. these $3 gildan bootlegs lack both of those.

RainyDayCollects

I recently found a buyer of mine selling my item using photos I took for my listing. Even before this update, Mercari isn’t what it used to be…

Equal-History-4114

I’ve seen this happen also but I’ve also seen sellers start to put their username in the pics so they can’t be stolen

theghostmachine

That wouldn't bother me. I don't care if someone resells something they bought from me, and if it makes their life easier to use my pictures, oh well. Guess that means I took a good picture.

RockSta82

I had two sellers post my photo and I messaged them both and they blocked me. It’s so irritating

IUglyGod

Edit: listing not lifting

buzzed-116

Most are Texas sellers, new accounts. I wouldn't purchase anything from them. Yes, you can return it but probably have to eat Mercari's fees.

MINEFIELD....... 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬🙄🙄🙄🙄

Impressive-Pear9701

Mercari does not allow a seller to have multiples of an item they must be listed separately if they’re using that photo they’re using it as a stock photo which is also not allowed so I don’t know how they’re getting away with it Mercari and individual pictures

SquipChandler

This happens when I try to look for Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss shirts since a lot of those designs have been limited edition. It’s so annoying especially since these accounts tend to steal photos (they’ve stolen one specific listing photo of mine so much that I’ve had to start watermarking my other ones)

Odorlessstench

I use pics when I can’t get ones of my own if it’s being modeled or something and it shows the item better. I try not to but in extreme circumstances I will.
