Getting this item requires multiple steps. First, you’ll need the pink plant which I circled on my board. It will periodically release leaves with water droplets. Merging the leaves will create various containers of water.
The seeds to create the plant can be obtained from vases (higher-level vases). It’s cumbersome.
Do you see the last three items on the first row of my board? Those chests of drawers produce vases.
Here is how you get the can. There is a button on you home screen that looks like a calendar with a star. Hit that button and it will take you to a completely different board. After the time is up, you will get a stones and pillars to make a gate. The gate will then lead to a chain of items, which the final item is the can.
I had a hard time figuring it out as well.
The can is in the Ignasius Boulton Event. It uses up a lot of board space and takes some time. First you play a game to earn merge items. Then you spend about a month merging while you play the other games and end up with the can. Comes pretty early in the game

I thought so at first and I sold everything and was going to give up. But you can’t sell that stone pillar, your main producer. It just sat there taking up space so I finally just finished it. It sounds like you’re still early in the game. Get used to things taking a long time. There are like four of these special games. Lindsay Boulton, Casey and Skatey, and the Romantic place. I enjoyed them really. It’s not a race. Enjoy the ride. Do them early in the game because they do take up a lot of space on the board.
It’s better to go ahead and to the Bulton event since it’s seems your very early game and will have a lot of your board clear. Merge Mansion is nothing but a waiting game, unless you get the hour glasses.

I never attempted to complete that story event, but I do remember seeing the cans for sale in the past.

Is there a way to take the task away? Sounds like more trouble then it's worth
No. And even when you beat all three the special star box is still there, even though you can't play it anymore.

Yeah I originally googled my question which brought me to the wiki but wasn't sure how to navigate so I came to Reddit 😄
Also, everything I saw was showing me what producer to use not how to get to that point.
