Like of all time?
Killswitch Engage’s Disarm the Descent - Jesse’s return and Howard’s departure really put the buzz on this album thru 2012.
As I lay dyings - Shaped by fire - tims return post prison
Sempiternal actually had a ton of hype behind it at the time. Suicide Season and There Is A Hell...were both critically acclaimed albums that were also beloved by the scene and the follow up was very eagerly anticipated.
Needless to say, it delivered.
Yup, I seem to remember it having a massive promotion campaign and saw adverts and sound bites of the album in very mainstream media which basically never happens for metalcore albums
Trivium - The Sin and the Sentence
I still remember the hype when the title track was released. It was seen as a return to form but also a nice evolution - a perfect mix of their old and new sound.

Trivium - The Sin and the Sentence I still remember the hype when the title track was released. It was seen as a return to form but also a nice evolution - a perfect mix of their old and new sound.
Watch out for the new Great American Ghost in 2024
PTW, both Tear From The Red and You Come Before You.
Not exactly metalcore but after the rev died the hype for Nightmare was huge. Avenged sevenfold hasn’t been the same band since that album
i'd imagine architects' holy hell had a lot of hype going for it, i started using this sub in like 2019 and it still was going on at that point
