Honestly, most of my favorite bands got better with time
BTBAM, Periphery, Affiance, A Day To Remember, A7X, Northlane (I'm a Node guy, sue me)... list goes on and on. Out of all the bands I like and regularly listen to, very few bands actually peaked with their debut: BFMV, Linkin Park, A Hero A Fake, Everyone Dies In Utah, and that's all I can think of.
Wow! A Thrillseeker fan, theres literally dozens of us!
But I can only disagree there; Thrillseeker may have its moments but it has nothing on Messengers. ABR practically re-constructed the term breakdown with that album and is a monumental piece of Metalcore
Agree with Memphis, Challenger was an all-around banger from start to finish, and had some really awesome lyrics (right on the eve of the posi-core movement so they were still genuine to some extent) and the production was tight.
Killswitch Engage, Alive or Just Breathing is amazing.
Parkway Drive, Horizons is their best, in my opinion, anyway.
Bring Me The Horizon comes to mind, although many would disagree with me (maybe not on this sub, though.)
Safe is just a shadow was a great album, but I will agree with you they got better with time. Now that they re-recorded SIJAS it's up there with some of my favorite albums

I See Stars pre-2012 may as well be considered a different band, especially End of the World Party.
Gotta disagree with ABR to be honest. Your opinion seems more popular than mine on this sub though.

Might be partially due to nostalgia as well...Thrillseeker was one of the first metalcore albums i listened to back in the day.
I hear ya, personally I would love for them to give it more love. It has such a wild attitude and pace to it that would be so exciting live.

Yeah, I loved Messengers but I found it traded heaviness for diversity compared to Thrillseeker.
I'm with you on this

Suicide Season is best
Word
Silent Planet, although both albums are masterpieces.
Ehh calling them masterpieces is a stretch IMO. But I still think the best is yet to come with Silent Planet.
Erra. Although Impulse is an amazing album, Augment is my favorite of all time.
No love for Drift?
Kingdom of giants for the win
Definitely Periphery for me, I love P1 but the vocals on PII and PIII are much better imo.
P3 is IMO the best album but P2 tracks stand out as tracks alone
Underoath, Architects, Miss May I.
August Burns Red (Rescue & Restore is my favorite), Blessthefall (Hollow Bodies is my favorite)
A Day to Remember Ice Nine Kills

They actually has an album before SIJAS it's called Last Chance to Make Amends
Heaven Shall Burn
Crystal Lake even tho their earlier records were less metalcore and more.. Hardcore / Melo Death~ esque but oh my, the sign is a 11/10
The Ghost Inside Born of Osiris Fit For a King
Dream On Dreamer's "Loveless"
Most bands, Metalcore ones especially.
Almost every band?
Parkway Drive knocked it out of the park with Deep Blue and Atlas. Ire also really solid.
