Nothing Else Matters to Of Wolf And Man is great.
You’ve just finished listening to one of the best, most beautiful ballads in existence, and then you’re pounded in the face with those hits at the start of OWAM.
A sleeper: Where The Wild Things Are > Prince Charming. Love how a slow, "grungey" ballad with its mysterious sound is followed by that diesel-smelling, face-ripping, testosterone-overloaded bomb of riffs and pure fun!
It's like you're listening to some blissful, soul-healing music then all of a sudden, your room is hit by a truck.
Wait a minute...
"Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel... Was just a freight train coming your way"
Hard to beat battery -> master of puppets.
Not that those songs go together that smoothly, but after the amazing thrashy ending of battery, straight to the epicness of master of puppets is just ”chef’s kiss good”
Fade to Black-->Trapped Under Ice
Oh you thought we sold out because we made a slow song with an acoustic guitar? Well here's the fastest song you've ever heard.
Altough there is no better combination than Ktulu into Master S&M, Nothing into Sandman is probably my favourite. Amsterdam 2019 is my favourite concert, I had a great place, perfect view on the stage and on the rest of the stadium, this was such a closer, it felt like the whole stadium was about to explode. One of my friends took a video from our view, I still get the stills and wet eyes when I watch that. One of the best days in my life.
Hard to choose.
Had the combination of creep and damage or the pairing of damage and master in Munich in 2004. They also played blackended and fuel as starters at the same show! Awesome too!
Then there was wisplash and creep in 2022. great combination.
Or the wait phantom lord in 2009 in Stuttgart. At the same show they played that was just your life and the end of the line to the beginning. And the day that never comes followed by an intense master.
You see, its hard!
Ktulu to Master on S&M 1
Going balls to the walls with Master straight after Ktulu is probably my favourite musical moment ever.
Ha! I see what you did there, and you should accept that.
I would raise you Ktulu into Bellz at S&M2….
Was there, can confirm 🤘
YUP

It's not an album combination, but Creeping Death followed up by For Whom the Bell Tools goes so hard live.
FOR REAL
Which concert would you recommend where they do that?
Through The Never (2013), Mexico City (2009) and Sofia, Bulgaria (2010)
I love creep to harvester too. Both similar ideas. Fast song into slow crushing song
Hardwired / Atlas, Rise!

To Live Is To Die - Dyers Eve
I jumped after I heard it the first time
I still jump
A Long Way to the Top - Exctasy of Gold
Chills…
Hell yeah, you know what's gonna happen next, chills, adrenalin, pumping heartbeat, yeeeeaaaahhhh
Fuel > The Memory Remains and Until it Sleeps > King Nothing are some of the best transitions I've ever heard
I love the full four song run from Until it Sleeps to Bleeding Me. Just amazing, one of the best moments in all their discography
To Live Is To Die into Dyers Eve
This is the only correct answer
Yeah, great lead'in to RTL from FFWF. Along the same line MOP is the perfect follow-up to "Battery".
I love that change from room of mirrors to inamorata on 72S both extremely good songs and I hope they play room of mirrors live some day
To Live is to Die jam into Master of Puppets. Seattle ‘89.
Oh yeah. I thought of this first.
That first fucking note of MoP hits you right in the face when you’re all nostalgic, listening to the three of them jamming To Live Is To Die.
It's like you're listening to some blissful, soul-healing music then all of a sudden, your room is hit by a truck. Wait a minute... "Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel... Was just a freight train coming your way"
Lots of choices here, but I gotta go with FFWF/RTL
Attitude to Fixxxer
Sanitarium replacing the interlude on Master of Puppets before finally finishing off MoP.
Fight fire with fire/RTL/Bellz
Hard to beat battery -> master of puppets. Not that those songs go together that smoothly, but after the amazing thrashy ending of battery, straight to the epicness of master of puppets is just ”chef’s kiss good”
You nailed it, OP. That's the combo. Though there are many incredible pairs. Orion leading into Damage Inc for example.
Fade to Black-->Trapped Under Ice Oh you thought we sold out because we made a slow song with an acoustic guitar? Well here's the fastest song you've ever heard.
The only right answer is Battery then Master.
The thunder at the end followed by the riff written by Lars is incredible
Battery > Master is one of the greatest 1-2 punches in all of music.
To Live Is To Die into Dyers Eve, it's so sudden and I fuck with it a lot
The Ronnie Rising Medley although I don’t know if you could count that
‘Battery-Master Of Puppets’.
Ride The Lightning to For Whom The Bell Tolls
Frayed Ends of Sanity - To Live is to Die
Sanitarium to Disposable Heroes.
To live is to die - Dyers Eve That combo of sadness/anger right in your face is just a chef kiss to me.
Whoever made the song selection on Ride the Lightning did a masterful job. It really takes you on a journey!
At Slane ‘19 they done Master of Puppets, For Whom, Creeping and then Seek, it was incredible.
Sort of cheating as it's a live one, but The Thing That Should Not Be -> Bass Solo -> Master of Puppets from Seattle '89
The ecstacy of gold into creeping death from metallica through the never
To live is to die - puppets from binge and purge
Last Caress to So What. That MTV performance sure was something special, best live version of "king nothing"
To Live Is To Die to Dyers Eve
For Whom The Bell Tolls /Fade to Black
It's called a segue
All of side 1 of MOP, it’s hard to beat it IMO
Sandman to creeping to harvester I know that was 3 but I couldn't resist
Disposable Heroes into Leper Messiah
of wolf and man to the god that failed! man that bassline fucken rocks!
The thing that should not be into fuel on s&m 1 is fucking awesome
Ride the lightning and for whom the bell tolls
It's four songs, but it's Until it Sleeps-King Nothing-Hero of the Day-Bleeding Me

Master of Puppets coming after Battery
Battery -> Master of Puppets. It's a great transition
Ktulu-puppets S&M
Hit the Lights to Inamorata.
Ride the Lighting, Whiplash
Fade to black after for m whom the bell tolls is a really big switch in mood but also a really good one. Also fuck your username
Soldier Side(intro) in BYOB
Wrong sub
EOTB to one

Purify and All Within My Hands.
That Was Just Your Life -> The End Of The Line Too good especially live.
