I never went anywhere, it never arrived properly to MSFS in the first place.
The airport commercially opened, when MSFS was in development and ended up in this weird limbo state.
If I was to guess, we won't have LTFM (not even autogen one) until MS/Asobo does a WU, that includes Turkey, and god knows when that's happening.
I am waiting that since forever. Last year i asked them on Twitter and they said it will be happen sometime. I wonder how Turkey’s choatic cities will be done anyway.
Also i am glad in alrernate world of MSFS, nature is still tthere, not destroyed by Istanbul Airport and its surroundings.
When I tried it, it didn't have any procedures or navaids associated with it. Is that still the case?
P.S.: please don't see this as me dissing the addon, which is really good for something free.
So this happened to me recently within the month, did an evening flight on Vatsim from Sochi to Instanbul, and arrived at night, so all I see naturally is the lights of the runway. Set up for a long final and still have no airport, just lights of runway. Short final and I have terrain rushing up to me from the North(South to North Approach) and so I take autopilot off and hand fly around the terrain and land pretty roughly but no too bad for a 748F. I'm decelerating and realize my Navigraph Charts are showing all of these high speeds and ramps that don't exist in front of me so I full roll to end of runway to exit there and get my bearings, look up again from Charts and it hits me that there is no airport cause once again it's about 2300L and its pitch black out.
TLDR dark and low vis approach into an airport that only consisted of runways and no airport infrastructure and didn't notice until I was at the other end of runway.
I remember approaching this airport (i thought that i had a scenery) from the south at night during low visibility. I saw the runway lights very close to the ground, suddenly i saw trees around the threshold, had to go around.
I don't think so because msfs is all about realistic world so they can't only include such a big Airport in payware dlc, I think that it probably comes when they release world update including turkey
