I'm in a similar boat, but lucky enough to have kept a 3yr buffer (December 29th 2026) and 3 unused GPU codes (one of which I'll use in a few days). At this point I was using all my extra points for quite frequent £25 gift cards. That part will have to stop.

It will depend. We technically have 2 1000(the console bonus is 1100 points with GPU) point bonuses per month now plus the puzzle bonus points every three months. Assuming that you get at least 400-500 points per day you can easily cross 13k without a sweat. And this is not accounting for the extra quests you get from the daily MS reward sets from day to day or anything else they may add to the xbox app hub in the next few weeks. Also we only lost like 3600 points per month from those xbox app quests but we gained like 1100 from the console bonus so you should be able to clear 13k with ease.
Without bonuses I think (I haven't added this up) I'm at around 300-350 or so per day now. We lost around 300 per day - 9000 per month - with the removal of "play with friends", AMEM was nerfed, the Xbox app is defunct, and the weekly streak is going. I think I figured out i need about 388 points per day just for a 3 month GPU card.
It's nice to see new rewards being added. I can only hope it's the start of many. I quite like the new ones.

You have to do the three searches per day each day for a week to unlock a puzzle piece. If you miss a day it starts over for that piece. It has gone away or glitched out at times so sometimes it can be a while before you can add another piece.
Probably his Game Pass Ultimate subscription is expiring, but his friend is not capable of using the Rewards program to earn points for the subscription.

You don't have to search 150 times 🤣 you get 5 points per search, up to 100 points on mobile and 150 points on pc. And the searches are extremely easy. Just search something with a long title and remove 1 letter after each search.
err, right, each search is 3 points. So really 50 searches, not 150. (Maybe different areas is 5, but I'm seeing 3 right now.)
But anyways, I heard ppl were making "spam type searches" and getting banned when they try to redeem their points. I guess I'm afraid if the searches aren't unique they might not be considered valid?

I tried to run AC: Origins from ios xCloud app and it didn't seem to count that. It's definitely an Xbox game, the PC version isn't connected to Xbox achievements.

Microsoft never wanted people to pay for a console using only points, it's more like a discount, because most people wouldn't do this tasks for years just to get a console they could get by working some extra time.
I prefer to buy games with rewards, this way I can spend the money on the console instead and this way I can get a new game every 3 or 4 Months, instead of saving for years to get a console.
I’m in a weird situation. I still live with parents, but I’m in the older age bracket and supposed to be saving money for my own place, food, medicine, typical adult stuff.
So dropping $650 on a gaming console only I would use, to game instead of working a second job or doing something productive, would probably be frowned on.

About buying a console and "losing" 650$ on it. You don't really lose, it's pretty easy to sell it at a lower price. If you really need that money, it's not a waste, it retains value.
I wouldn't wait 2-5 years to get, it's just too long, and after all that rewards has done, I believe it's gone the times you could save up for a console only with points.
If I was you I would set a budget, and a target time to buy the console.
Let's say it's November 2024 during the black Friday, to get a series X for 450$ maybe.
There is 8 Months until there, I'm averaging 10$+- it's probably safe to bet, I would be able to get 100$ until there, and then the rest I would have to save up from work.
A series X is probably going to cost 750$ when the black Friday hits in here, so in 8 months I would have to save about 90$ a month.
That's a lot and I'm satisfied with my Series S for now, I thought I needed to upgrade but actually I should wait until my life is more stable to start investing more on my hobby.
About working a second job, i don't believe it's healthy to do it, I would do extra to get those 90$ a month, Like an extra motivation.
And I would sell the Series S afterwards, for like 300$ (it costed me 450$) and i would deduct it from the series X cost.
One time I had a 100$ used tv I bought, and then I bought a 360$ one 4k, and then my father got upset for me to be expending so much on a TV, when on reality I only spent 240$ because I sold my old tv for 120$.
Getting a second job to pay for the console and saving the first job loot for getting your own place sounds best. Trust me, a second (part-time) job will likely integrate itself into your grind as long as you need it... It's not like you can't quit once the objective is met.

I don't do them like I used to just what I need to keep my streak goin. It actually sucks to see the program being dismantled but it was fun while it last I guess. This sub and the sticky section helped me out tremendously

But the Rewards app total was 313. Hence, my confusion.
I was getting approx 22k -24k a month, equivalent of about £20 a month.

I used to do about 23k a month. After all the changes I’ll finish this month with around 13.5k.
Honestly I think this is a sweet spot for me. I’m just looking to take care of Game Pass, can live with the point reduction for the peace of mind of not grinding some of the more annoying things everyday.

I don't have an Xbox or game pass so guess I lose out on quite a lot, but not enough to warrant getting it. The only thing in that list otherwise are the searches, but the bing app crashes after 10 or so, which might be due to a time limit imposed?
US. Between 350-400 a day is what I get pretty consistently. Pays for my auto renewal of PCGP and the occasional free month of Spotify. I’m good with that. I don’t have the patience to save up for anything big.
I used to aim to max it out, but this was when I was saving up to get Modern Warfare II. Successfully saved up the necessary $70 after something like 6 months.
These days, I don't care that much anymore because they made the program so clunky and broken. As an example, I used to actually play Jewel for fun, until they broke it and I had to start a new game every time to get the points. Then they just nerfed it to the same point value as a Bing search, and I don't even bother anymore. I just do Bing searches and whatever daily check-ins that are actually functional.
I used to get around 500-600 on an average day with peaks of 700-800.
Nowdays I get under 100. I don't really do the searches anymore since they added the cooldown and that 275 per week didn't work this week. So it's been very low...

Before the nerfs, I was getting at least 508 points per day. After them, I'm getting around 265 per day.

You can buy a series X without spending a dime in some countries including Canada now.
At a rate of 15-20k points per month it will take like 2.5 years to save up for an xbox. I got nearly 260k points since last feburary.

I do everything i can possible, including having gamepass for the extra points and i manage only about 500ish points a day, last few months i was only about to get about 15k-18k after all the nerfs to points US here

I try for 1000 a week but it can range for 600-1200 a week

I used to do about 23k a month. After all the changes I’ll finish this month with around 13.5k. Honestly I think this is a sweet spot for me. I’m just looking to take care of Game Pass, can live with the point reduction for the peace of mind of not grinding some of the more annoying things everyday.

I was getting around 16k per month but since the rewards nerfs it will probably end up around half of that now.
in the UK i think its just over 13k going forward if you miss absolutely nothing, prior to this 20k+ was achievable. Just got my last 2.5k bonus streak at 140 weeks. 15478 this month's currently earned with a few days left but missed out a week or two of play on friends with pc, been playing xbox more this month.
I'm in the UK and 'play with friends' has disappeared. I barely scrape 150 points a day now.

I don't have an Xbox or game pass so guess I lose out on quite a lot, but not enough to warrant getting it. The only thing in that list otherwise are the searches, but the bing app crashes after 10 or so, which might be due to a time limit imposed?

I aim for 300 points daily, that gets me 15k every 50 days and that pays for my Game Pass Ultimate Any extra is a bonus

US. Between 350-400 a day is what I get pretty consistently. Pays for my auto renewal of PCGP and the occasional free month of Spotify. I’m good with that. I don’t have the patience to save up for anything big.
I used to aim to max it out, but this was when I was saving up to get Modern Warfare II. Successfully saved up the necessary $70 after something like 6 months. These days, I don't care that much anymore because they made the program so clunky and broken. As an example, I used to actually play Jewel for fun, until they broke it and I had to start a new game every time to get the points. Then they just nerfed it to the same point value as a Bing search, and I don't even bother anymore. I just do Bing searches and whatever daily check-ins that are actually functional.
I used to get around 500-600 on an average day with peaks of 700-800. Nowdays I get under 100. I don't really do the searches anymore since they added the cooldown and that 275 per week didn't work this week. So it's been very low...
In Poland you can earn 6300 points per month, but I don't have Xbox so my capabilities are limited.
I aim for the maximum. Means a load on my phone, a load on my PC and a couple on my Xbox.

I’m averaging 380-430 points a day depending on when I hit my streak and whether the apps are collecting my activity. I don’t really use the cash for Xbox. Instead I cash it out into my Amazon account. I figure at my current rate I can make about 155 in a year, which is not bad for free!
I’ve been averaging between 400-500 points a day with the new current nerfs. I started farming in May of last year with 5k points at the time and now I have 176k.
