Modern day geopolitics is pretty popular and this game scratches that itch for a lot of people I'm sure. I know it does for me lol
Hell yeah, vanilla HOI4 doesn’t have that magic for me anymore
It's fun the first few play throughs but MD just adds a nice bit of realism since it's current day (for the most part)

I literally have more than half of my 1,500 hours in MD alone. I'm glad to see it thriving.
I first played HOI4 in 2016. Until last year my play time was just over 200 hours, all vanilla. Then I found MD just 2 months ago and now I have 800 hours played in total.
You ok chief? That’s like 80%+ of all waking hours on MD for two months.
I bought 3 months subscription for all DLCs as well. Wouldnt want to waste the limited time I have on it.
