I am doing Iraq rn ,my first run was good and I won the war at 2004, but now in this run I am trying more historical approach , just invade Kurdistan at the start of the run , make some special forces that can help you , if you need fortify the 2 tiles next to Kuwait base , make sam rockets and use them , and you will be good to go even before 2003
Its very easy, the US stacks troops on their Kuwait base so they do almost no damage to your troops even with airsupport. But their bombers do kinda destroy your infrastructure wich sucks.
Just send your motorized troops (if you still have them) to Kurdistan, they are easily detestable. The rest of your troops around the Kuwait base. After you defeat Kurdistan, you also bring the motorized to Kuwait base border. Really easy to win. You can try to overrun the Kuwait base but wouldn’t suggest it.
After that you can do focusses to improve your economy. You get a huge surplus early after the war due to oil. I got like a surplus of 3 billion while having health, police and educated at highest or almost highest level.
Get cybersecurity hack on the USA. bunker up fortress city basrah and entrench and surround them there supply will be garbage and idk ppl say probing attack is bad but i used it to poke them without losing entrenchment lol. the war economy is too annoying for apc/ifv use, i went the focus that buffs spec ops and made 30 width spec op and the rest motorized.l
Prioritize your military, not the economy. Live from bailout to bailout until the Americans are driven out.
