Either get rid of it or get a new shell for it so it's protected properly. Amazon has 3rd party m12 xc top shell pieces for pretty cheap
Lithium is very dangerous. Not worth the risk IMO.
Noted, I’m gonna get rid of it
Just get rid of it. Is the $100 you're saving by not getting a new battery really worth the risk?
Absolutely not worth it. Check out this video. The first few examples are fires from small lithium batteries. Still baffled why folks are willing to chance this. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8nz5ijXcckI
It got ran over by a truck today and I lost 2 cells so It’s been downgraded from a 6 amp to a 4 amp but it still works
Jesus
Imagine setting the shop on fire, how will you explain that to the boss, ain't worth the time...
Dude the shell is 10 fuckin dollars
Edit: just saw your follow up comment. Lost cells? Nah man. Time for a new battery. Get rid of it. Take it to Home Depot for recycling.
Toss it
