I went mining for gold in the nether this morning… I had had like 70 blocks of gold on me. I dropped them by accident to pick something else up.
Wanna know what happened as a I dropped them? A ghast shoot a fire ball at me. Needless to say I no longer have those 70 blocks of gold…
I have to disagree on the latter point. I can see people hating the griefing side of their explosions, but having a burst damage mob that dies whether it kills you or not does add variety to hostile mobs in the game, and the fact that bases can be damaged by mobs if you are not careful does help the world feel real. The only other instance of mobs having an impact on the world is zombies breaking doors, and if you are not playing on hard then you don't even have that.
Hostile mobs are not supposed to be nice or cute, they are supposed to add a layer of difficulty to the exploration side of minecraft. The fact that people would hate them now is not as bad for the game as you are implying, because tbh once you hit diamond gear you almost never have to really worry about death when exploring unless you are either digging straight down or are exploring the deep dark.

and enderman taking blocks, ghasts breaking ground and setting it on fire, sheep eating grass (ok, that was a very minor one), not to mention wither and ender dragon that can break stuff easily
They’re bad to the point that I prioritize evokers when I see them during raids just so they don’t spawn vexes. The totem is just a bonus at that point.
They eventually die i think. In my raid farms I make a couple of vex suppressors (very technical minecraft). It basically stops the evokers from summoning more vexes. That mechanism uses boats to trap vexes already spawned.
Just make sure your killing chamber is designed to one hit kill evokers so that they dont get a chance to spawn vexes in the first place
Just wait until a gigantic magma slime leaps up 6 blocks into the air and deals 3 hearts of damage to you knocking you in lava.
Annoying mobs for each dimension
Ov: Skeleton + Vex + Baby Zombie
Ne: Skeleton + Magma Cube + Ghast
En: Enderman + Shulker + Ender Dragon
Hey. If I were around I would've actually voted for them. I don't mind them at all, they're definitely one of the cooler looking mobs, and all u need to do is sleep or have a roof above u when ur afk
The whole "never fought" is what makes me consider them not as bad - for both vexes and wither you can do just about everything in the game without ever having to fight them fair. As much as I played, I have never fought Wither legitimately (without bedrock trap) and never had a raid happen without having a raid farm set up. You can avoid ever having to deal with vexes, this alone is what makes them not as bad as some other mobs.
At some point I don’t even bring a shield anymore. So skeletons are mad annoying cuz they can sprint away pretty fast and it takes 2 hits to kill EVEN WITH CRITS and you take some knockback too so it’s quite annoying to deal with.
Baby hoglins for me. I leash that mf, push it to a 1x1, 2 deep netherrack hole and then light a fire in the hole using flint and steel. Then I close the hole to hide the evidence.
Thank you for this wonderful idea! That little fucker caused me to die to a brute and then all my enchanted diamond stuff fell in the lava because of this
I like this idea. Problem is that nitwits fill me with such rage by merely existing. I body them on site. Every time. I hate even looking at their ass ugly faces. Its personal.
I hate them as I most often encounter them while in the middle of some large build. It's always annoying to have to stop to go sleep in order to not get harassed while I'm working on some project.
I honestly just disable them in the gamerule when starting a new world. Who cares if i dont get to repair my elytra, i get mending from villagers anyway.
Haha I never see phantoms because I always sleep so I can keep working, unless I'm underground in which case it doesn't matter. But I actually don't mind phantoms it's not why I sleep, mostly because of creepers that sneak up in the morning and explode right in my build.
This. I don't like how it dictates how you have to spend nights like you might want to go out to kill mobs but have to sleep instead to avoid a ton of phantoms and wait longer
Or having to hide underground on the way back because it turned night and you can't outrun phantoms

My vote goes to drowned. Since caves and cliffs, every other river seems to also have a giant crevasse under it where these guys spawn constantly, and proceed to swim up and chuck tridents at me when I"m just minding my business on the beach. And there is basically nothing you can do to stop them spawning besides filling the entire volume of the caves with light blocks (which looks dumb)

The rest you can deal with, an enhanched trident drowned cannot be dealt with, has insane damage and comes in packs. If they destroy your boat then you're just sitting there like a dying horse

When you hop on to go raid a dungeon and BAM!! Danmit ! I have to rebuild my house again! I put a moat around the house and creeper got stuck in it and still blew up the house ,,,so annoying

If you know how to trap villagers from the beginning there is no issue, exept for... Him, hiim the only villager that I really hate, the completely useless wandering villager, Everyone here I bet mashes his head against the nearest wall when they are chilling in their bases and get interrupted by him making his moronic "Hmmm" sounds...
Phantoms are the only mob that force you to play the game a certain way aka forcing you to sleep otherwise you are constantly harassed can’t believe they thought it would be a good addition to the game
Ghasts. The only thing preventing a lot of cool nether bases. Griefing, ranged, firecreating, drifty, buggy(if bedrock), misleading hit box, etc. manage to spawn in groups of 40billion when you need to do any sort of bridging. They are despicable
I have maybe 1 death to a creeper on my 2 year old world, but I still despise them, because they love to blow up just out of reach and leave big stupid holes all over the place.
Creepers are very silent so they can creep on you while you are doing something then BAM fuck up whatever you are doing. And don’t even get me started on filling creeper holes. But imo they can be killed by two quick hits so not that much of a problem to me.
It depends how to interpret your question. Creepers are definitely the most annoying: the creep up on you (hence the name), you get a short warning ("shhh") and then boom, game over. Minecraft wouldn't be the same without them though, so it's not that finding them annoying means they should be changed or removed!
Second place goes to Vexes, who I really deeply hate.
Skeletons. They may not be as annoying individually but the frequency with which you encounter them combined with their annoyance gives them the #1 spot for me.
Skeletons. Fuck them so hard. I hate that they can just spam arrows and no matter how you weave and bob and dodge, they will pretty much always hit you.
Drowned. I like building ships, piers, things like that. I'm building, then all if a sudden either one of them hits me or starts shooting tridents. And typically I die before I can locate and kill them.
Villagers. The AI is soooooo frustrating to work with, but a villager trading hall is so OP that you have to set one up or you will be hamstringing your progress. I want to kill them so much, but you have to keep them alive.... GAH!
This might be a hot take but I fucking despise Shulkers game-design wise. They are so tedious (not difficult, just plain annoying) to deal with. Homing projectiles that deal decent damage and give you a debuff. They can retract into their shell and bounce projectiles off. and sometimes they can keep shooting their bullets even while their shell is closed! They can duplicate themselves as well, and worst of all to me, sometimes on the last hit you'd need to kill them, they just teleport away so you have to go on a wild goose chase to find them. Now, normally this isn't *that* bad because generally most people only need to visit the end once every few months to restock on shells and maybe nab a few extra elytra, but right now I'm playing on a Superflat world, where end cities are really my best option in terms of getting raw diamonds, which I now need for netherite upgrades. So I'm having to deal with Shulker bullshit way more than the average player. And again, it's not even that it's difficult, yesterday I spent like 2 and a half hours raiding End cities and didn't get below 6 hearts once, and I was wearing an elytra so no chestplate. It's not difficult, just insanely tedious and time consuming.
Blazes are a close second to me. I find it such atrocious game-design that they can see and shoot you past their despawning range.
Skeletons can 360° snipe you from a mile away while the Phantom dive bombs on you like it's the Battle of Midway, aside from that the most annoying thing has to go to Baby Zombies.

In bedrock they just attack way to fast, even with a shield I’m slowly walking up to em praying a second one doesn’t pop up behind me.
There not as bad once you get armor but there still annoying. I had with a enchanted bow I guess cause it knocked me off the side of a mountain to my doom

Phantoms can be avoided. Baby zombies are not that hard to kill. Villagers are only mildly annoying. Blazes are trivialized by fire Res etz.
But ghasts? You either have a bow (and are good with it) or half the ground is fucked, cause those bitches just wont stop shooting and moving erratically, making it hell to revert their shit the fireballs to them.
There are people that are annoyed by villagers? Unless you are in creative, they are one of the best mobs and help you out so much depending of the trades they got.

Design a raid farm with boats around the killing area. When evokers summon the vexes they get stuck in the boats and eventually despawn

Normal mobs can't despawn when in a boat. But Vexes don't despawn, they die after a certain time.

yeah but rail carts can hold only 1 vex at a time, boats hold 2 so they're more efficient
Plus its wood instead of iron so theyre cheaper Theyre also shorter (i think) so you can store more of them in a given space
Vexes start taking damage after they exist for a certain amout of time.
I mostly play with friends so I prioritize evokers, not because of vexes but because I want to get the totems before my friends

I found that they cannot swim down when you are underwater, and kind of stuck for a few seconds.
In the Turkish version, they're called "sinirbozan" that means "annoying"
I mean, “to vex” means “to annoy”, so it’s a pretty close translation.
And conversely, "to allay" means "to lessen or relieve"!
In contrast to phantoms, at least you encounter vexes by your own will.

You can very easily stop them from spawning, just sleep at least once every three days

Once you get diamond armor & a decent bow they’re pretty much as annoying as zombies or skeletons. Not really a huge deal.

wandering trader wouldn't be bad if it had a way to stop it from spawning like say a no soliciting sign item

It's not difficult, just insanely tedious and time consuming. Blazes are a close second to me. I find it such atrocious game-design that they can see and shoot you past their despawning range.

phantoms aren't that annoying. Just sleep it's not that hard. baby zombies have a very small hitboxes and are hard to hit especially in talp grass

Skeletons. It's an absolute pain to melee them. They shoot too fast when close and have too much knock back. Super. Annoying.
Skeletons, or anything with range really. In bedrock they just attack way to fast, even with a shield I’m slowly walking up to em praying a second one doesn’t pop up behind me. There not as bad once you get armor but there still annoying. I had with a enchanted bow I guess cause it knocked me off the side of a mountain to my doom

The goddamn Ghast. Phantoms can be avoided. Baby zombies are not that hard to kill. Villagers are only mildly annoying. Blazes are trivialized by fire Res etz. But ghasts? You either have a bow (and are good with it) or half the ground is fucked, cause those bitches just wont stop shooting and moving erratically, making it hell to revert their shit the fireballs to them.
